I always find these Harpsichords more interesting than the average and traditional piano. They have that nice bassy and rough edged tone sound to them which the modern day piano simply cannot replicate.
A few key differences between the two instruments: - Harpsichord strings are plucked (reason why the timbre is so different) - Harpsichord notes do not sustain or resonate like piano notes do - Harpsichord keys play at a constant volume (no soft/loud accents)
The sound quality of the harpsichord makes the notes more distinct and even better omg I am obsessed...though maybe its just your careful playing that makes the notes distinct. I don't know. Either way, thank you so much for putting out this gem
Ohhh, this hit the spot. Cheery with a hint of ominous, like a pirate saloon. Very nicely done!
"Arrgh!" 🏴☠️ ☠️ 🦜
Scott Joplin sounds very well on the harpsichord.

Bechstein is quite Bassy imo, it got dark tone

Glad you enjoyed it!
This is how you ride into your castle in elegance people
I love this so much! Joplin/ragtime in general on the harpsichord is beyond satisfying to play. The articulation is *so* clean.
Sounds like I can play that on my Banjo
I mean, you pluck both.
Do it, sounds good to me!
@@xavierdurand4972 I just need to get new strings for my Banjo
I'd love to see that
Super 😀👍
The ghosts of Domenico Scarlatti and Antonio Soler look on in envy that they never thought of composing ragtime.
Scarlatti would certainly adore ragtime had he lived in that era, I’m sure.
Very nice😎😎
Can you play The Entertainer on the harpsichord (also by Scott Joplin)?
👍👍👍
I wonder what Bach would have said about this xD
I guess we will never know!
"Ah, now I shall improve this work by turning it into a five-part fugue."
@@karldelavigne8134 Very clever sir!
I'd pay to see a five part fugue of a rag
"Wonderful!"
it feels so right but also so wrong
it's because it's not an equal tune and it's 415HZ
@@sylvaindubreuil9322 that's why I can not duet with this on my piano
@@cdllc1956 lol the real one, back from the deads ?
@@sylvaindubreuil9322 yee
Nice! well-layed. But this could have benefitted from better microphone placement.
