- M42 is a huge, bright nebula, located in the constellation Orion, you can see this deep space object with binoculars. This video includes instructions for locating M42 in the night sky. This dramatic object is a stellar nursery, the glow from 100's of new stars illuminate the molecular cloud. The video also includes a discussion of star formation.
Wow, I used to look on those stars when I was in philippines, didn't know 1 of them are orion nebula, amazing
same here i look at them from my house just thinking they are stars.
But I'm still confused how people discover a nebula, a dust that is 1 light years and above, in the 1700s.
@@kyuvermilixn_ telescopes man.. And perhaps the light pollution back then wasnt't that bad
Thank you for explaining the physics of gravitational attraction and the formation of celestial bodies. It is very helpful in understanding how Stellar objects are created.
that thing might look tiny but its actually 12 light years across
This is a factory of making the new stars.thanks
That picture from Hubble is totally amazing, the beautiful colour and detail
is a photographers dream. !!
Got my telescope and adapter for my dslr. Waiting for a clear sky tomorrow night and take pictures. Also located where Andromeda (M31) is, of course I have to take a long exposure pictures to get a better image of them.
we just did the same thing today, but no telescope :( yet
Thanks for all of your awesome videos!
I found out some years ago that; with no Moon, no city lights and your eyes fully dark adapted, my 6 inch Newtonian gave a great view!
But it never shows the kind of color you have here. To me it always seems to show a very mild, pastel green color!
Incredible video learned so much thanks for sharing
Thank you for this knowledge, it was easy for us newbies to grasp the technical stuff. Liked, subscribed and shared as well. I always have been intrigued in the stars that you mentioned as i used to contemplate of what it meant. Thank you Sir and Thanks to youtube. God bless.
Great video, as always! :))
Orion is always visible in Saturday and Sunday here in Philippines
This rules, LOL. I saw a nebula just like this one on TV.
Wow, this video is really helpful to locate Orion nebula 😍😍
In January, February and March, the constellation Orion rises after the Sun set. In June, July, August and October, it'll be visible during daytime and in November, it'll rise before midnight.
Imagine your potential, should you be a grain of sand, to find yourself in such a cloud of atoms...
Can you say how many (for example) Jupiter masses it needs to intitiate the fusion process?
It looks like a heavenly place.
Sambal Oelek actually I’ve been there and the people are quite rude.
@@stephenstrickland6149 for real how did you got there?
@@TrapPrison oh just warp 5 there, you'll be there in half a day
@@giga9217 cool
Stephen Strickland yeah when i went there for the first time i got my warp drive stolen stuck there for 2 months
It's beautiful Orion
Interesting video. It's the forces at the centre of a star generated from its own weight that starts the nuclear fusion, not the temperature. On earth, the temperature has to be 10 million degrees Celsius to start nuclear fusion as we can't replicate the gravity
The LORD made Orion and everything else!!!
I bought my first telescope today and even though I had to fight against the evil clouds I managed to look at this beauty with 54X (Using a Skywatcher Heritage 130p and a 12mm eyepiece).
how much did it cost?
"everything"
interesting vid.
87 times. "When the metallicity is very low, however, a recent study of the faintest stars found that the minimum star size seems to be about 8.3% of the solar mass, or about 87 times the mass of Jupiter" [from wiki's page "stellar mass"]
i know vvery little i'd like to see more of these.
Can't waite till a worm, hole take us there...
1:34 What´s red in the upper left corner ??
@HarakiriOni Thx
o m g i just took a photo of the nebula with my old dslr
what lens used?
@@Waikhom007 hi its a sony 3.5-5.6/18-70
@@stefdebont8943 thanks for your reply.Have a great day🙏
Yes and also has a heart shape
Thank you for your work. Be safe.

in 2018 still there
good
Similar to eart but stronger gravity around 5 times
In stellar temperatures O find using the Kelvin scale funny.
That’s the star I’m going to live on in my next life
Orion nebula is 1344 light years distance from the sun.
I have seen naked eye.. Hazy
Right, so my parents got me a star tracker basically just so I could photograph this and I need about an hour - 2hours of exposure time but the thing is my dad doesn’t realise that it takes that long and I ‘have to go in because it’s a school night’ like what bullshit is that, so I get about 2 photos ever night and it’s nearly February when it goes below the horizon so I guess I’ll have to waist until i have my own house or something to actually get me dream photo😪 just wanted to get this off my chest don’t judge
Planets are not visible, only stars ✨️
Thank you. 87 times more mass in order to produce a faint star seems quite a lot.
Dagon stars
I am not sure a dust cloud can be made into a star under gravity.
Actually, I am quite sure it cannot. Once you have a star condensed enough, gravity can hold it together but another force must be onvoked to draw that gas into a sense enough state first.

I liked you because you gived me reply

That look like dairy milk bubble
MaşaALLAH.
2:10. am i the only person that can see a face in the nebula???? in the right side of the screen theres geniunly a face lol
Been a year sense you commented bro and no one has replied but I see the face. Crazy
science is lacking to explain the power of God creating new star..but Abraham by his knowledge revealed by God himself can clearly explain orion even Gods eternal power and Godhead
But the God is only nature
sanjay wakude facts yes
Too bad all gods are man-made
GOD WHO???
Why bother wasting time in regurgitating your stupid fairy tale in the comments section of a scientific video
Shut the fuck up bible basher
😂
I start studying now

Thank you for your explanation, but Gód is the Creator of ALL. You will see eventually.
Sooner than you may think, éver... Bless you :) and i am nót joking ....
Which god is that? There are hundreds if you know your history. Orion is based off Osiris...
;D not hundreds lol but then softly.... only Three ÍN ONE...
Father, Son and Holy Spirit... (think you heard about them...?)
The One that made the heavens and spread them out as a curtain,
just by speaking: thát One.
The One Who LOVES you and all people só much He created us,
eventhough He allready knéw how we would treat Him....
And thát One Who gave His LIFE and LOVE for us, so we could be with Him. And Jesus, God the Son made the WAY, He ~IS~ to the Father.
The ONLY Way. Just to be clear, His Son IS the DOOR to God, for by
HIS OWN ´flesh´ and blood He paid the price for ALL our sin.
We just have to believe in Him ánd accept Him as Lord and Saviour.
Ask His forgiveness and turn away from your old sinful life tó Him,
for salvation is IN JESUS. He even saves from ALL sin, addictions,
broken lives He restores and sicknesses He cures... That One.
PS He always starts with the most important in our lives...
that is nót always the thing wé want, HÉ knows ALL.
I just hate it when the satanists join in. We just want to see the splendor of the universe so fuck off.
my words stand, because it is Gód's TRUTH. Bless you in getting
to know thé Truth, His name is JESUS. CALL on Him (not mockingly)
and you WILL be saved...
EVERYBODY who calls on His name WILL BE SAVED!
Allahu Akbar!
Full of lies
