    My ex husband is Ghanaian and I've been to Ghana over 7 times. We're still best friends. He was trying to get me to invest in Ghana back in 2015 and I didn't. I can kick myself. He's a builder so he could have helped me with everything. Now, the same land has increased. He built a apartment building with 10 units and 3 store fronts. He lives in Accra and he says I should build there. So now I'm playing catch up. I've seen the spaghetti junction on the highway that built a few years ago. I just couldn't understand why the government or whoever is responsible for getting the highway built got the Chinese to build and not their very own Ghanaians. This would have created jobs for them. I was very bothered by this ❤

    The doubling of the road also brings the drama of land and houses close to the road being lost. That road will swallow a lot of ground close to the road. The best action, in this case, is to buy your land away from the road. What's more, check the plan of government future projects trajectory across the city, upcoming new roads, and underground or upper ground public transport projects. many landlords and homeowners are unaware of this terrible lingering occurrence. Landlords in Ivory coast ABIDJAN have learned a bitter lesson recently with a new metro construction commissioned by the government. It is not a pretty sight, so many heartbreaks. HERE IS AN ISSUE THAT PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET IN GROWING CITIES LIKE ACCRA!!

    • @rushasare
      @rushasare  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey. Great comment. I can assure you that this particular road has no houses to go down except the temporary stores and they were all aware that the road will eventually get doubled. Also the government compensates people when the road affects their land or houses if they have the proper documentation.

    • @rushasare
      @rushasare  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And i'm wondering, if the lease is less than 50 yrs for a non ghanean, and you've built a house on it, what happens to the house when the lease is over if you're old and don't have money to rebuy it (and at a way higher price so many years after though...) I don't understand the point or interest for us buyers in this system... Maybe i did not understood well and sorry if it's the case, please would you tell me if it's really that ?

    you need to be Ghanaian citizen and if you want to buy land buy only freehold land. also put up a big sign saying the land is freehold acknowledged by the government before you build with the word sold and your number. if any one calls you about the land refer them to the government.
    buying land in Ghana is terrible. hey move to america. if you buy land it is yours. yours to pass on to your kids, kids, kids. you only pay taxes on the property to the local government. you don't pay it to some owner again in 50, or 99 years. if you want to sell it you can, but once sold you don not make any more money off of that property.
    next if people have a job and that job pays them you do no give them any money for a job they are suppose to be doing. like police, never offer a policeman any money in the United States for any reason. he or she will put you in jail for doing so. you can always visit Ghana and live here too.

      Hello,
      All amounts are in Dollars. Sorry for not making that clear. I tend to always talk in Dollars. The Cedis fluctuates way too much.

    How much is the land going for in this area, and do you know of any person to be contacted to buy the land from?

    • @rushasare
      @rushasare  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not know but like I said in the video you could expect to pay 8-20,000 dollars for a plot of land . I do not know anybody selling right now. But you can use this information to start searching.

    Who are some reliable people to make the purchase?

    • @rushasare
      @rushasare  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cannot answer that, but buying your land from the Estates is the best option. Still do not pay everything upfront before you touch the land. I got a video coming out on this .

    Do you own the land out right or is it a land lease?

    • @rushasare
      @rushasare  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is almost impossible to find freehold. Lease. Renewable, nothing crazy. In most cases , no one will ever come to you again. People tend to overthink this.
