    Hi Chris....
    Today I ordered my Supernote A5x & can't wait to receive it. I was truly on one fence between this one & the Remarkable 2. I had a difficult deciding because of the price of the premium bundle. Although the standard bundle was just as pricey. After watching this video for at least 10 minutes I decided to go for it. This video is extensive but very much needed. This will help me maximize the use of the Supernote. Most videos shows the unboxing, likes & dislikes, comparisons, and some basic functions. Your Video goes into detail & I will be using this as needed per section. I normally prefer not to view long TH-cam videos but yours keep be intrigued wanting to learn more. I tend to look at part 2 of this but I think I will wait util I receive it. This knowledge was truly a breath of fresh air. This was great.... Thank You

    My supernote a5x has just arrived. How do I load my pdf on to it. My email is being blocked by Google also which is an issue. Has it all got to be done via a laptop as I've looked to share via ny mobile but it isn't syncing with Dropbox.

    One other request, can you do a video about text conversion. On my remarkable I can send a full page or a full note to be converted to text. But I am not sure this is an option in supernote. I believe I can write in a word document and it is converted. But I don’t think I have seen a video on this.
    Most of my notes I just keep as notes. But I do meeting notes with a supervisor snd send him a copy once a month, which on the remarkable I convert to text and email to myself, then proof and email to him. I think I would have to start those in a word document if I understand Supernote’s process.

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they are working on a full page conversion (or maybe even implemented it, not sure)
      There is a roadmap on the supernote reddit with more information. The team around supernote is awesome when it comes to communication and frequent updates. Much better than remarkable

    I am really curious on the writing feel of the supernote. I have a nova pro and I am disappointed with its writing feel. It is like writing on a glass. It gives me hand fatique in no time while writing on it. Morning coach is describing the writing feel of supernote as if writing on a paper using a fountain pen. Is it the same with your case? I don't like to invest 550$ in a device and then regret that buying decision everyday.

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In one of my videos I try to explain the feel using everyday items. I forget what I suggested now! But it isn't scratchy - more fluid, so in that I can agree with Morning Coach!

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You mean the one 09:38?

    • @adamrshields
      @adamrshields 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the 9:39. The space keeps writing from overlapping and helps with the text conversion process. At least on the remarkable when I convert a whole page if the top of an H touches the bottom of a G there can be problems and occasionally the words end up in the wrong line. I sometimes leave whole lines empty between but they wastes a lot of space and this one looks great to create separation but not wasting too much space.

    As an academic, do you ever use any of your devices in the classroom? I'm looking for a A5X-like note-taking tablet to make notes and have them appear - live - on a computer screen that I can then project on a whiteboard or record for, say, a TH-cam video along with narration.

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bill, thanks for your question. I have used my iPad for screen sharing live. It could be done, I guess, with the Max Lumi too, but I don't see how it would be possible with the A5X.

    • @billleonard2015

      @@CTilling I kinda knew that would be the answer. Probably something like a pen-input pad device would work but couldn't do the neat stuff that the A6X or Note Air can. Thanks for the response... and all your videos.

    Hii...anyhow to find out ..if th A5 got a ..tool..to convert handwritten documents ( earlier...a month ago) unto text?
    I cant find that..
    It only converts one page at a time....and when l m writing l have to stop..wait..for it...50 seconds for every 3lines of text...
    It s horrific,..but..l m eithet stuck with it or return it and loose 250€....(50%...ratta handling..17% chinese tax..post office...and taxes l payed in Spain no idea if they return them)
    If it could just convert 20 pg in a row from hand to text

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@developermct I tend to convert .mobi to .epub and annotate them. I prefer to use the Max Lumi with pdfs, but this is quite able to annotate pdfs, too. In fact, it tends to recognise pdf table of contents more reliably than the Max Lumi. But for certain pdfs the scrren is a little too small for my taste. The key is to create a good folder system and "favourite" all that you are working on so you can access them again quickly

    Can I import my pdf documents to the supernote as templates? Then write on them, save and file them on A5X, then transfer to my laptop or is the remarkable better for that?

    • @CTilling
      @CTilling  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't use the pdfs as a template but as pdfs, which you mark up. You can then download via their cloud server as marked up pdfs. Make sense?

    Ipads are just not good for notes. If you like to hand write, in my use, a focused note device is a much better option, battery life, able to use device in direct sunlight, if you take notes in a meeting, with an ipad everyone knows it, do to the glaring light of the display coming from your direction and very loud writing on the ipad also, which creates a distraction, my issue is the right eink device, i have a remarkable 2 which i love but it has magnetic issues which hurts the writing experience, so i tried scribe returned in a week, it is not a writing device even though the writing on it is very good, so i have tried the boox ultra c, great device but has battery drain issues, and the color layer darken the screen, so waiting on supernote ax5 to show up and see what it has to offer,
