C&C 3 Tiberium Wars - Nod Mission 16 - Operation Stiletto - Speedrun [Hard / Patch 1.09] 1080p

- Nod Mission 16 Operation Stiletto speedrun with all bonus objectives completion and all intelligence data discovered on hard difficulty. Patch 1.09.
GDI is advancing through the Italian Red Zone more quickly than anticipated and will soon threaten every Visitor installation in Italy. We need to slow them down. The largest danger comes from a large GDI force currently routing the Alien forces on the east bank of the Tiber. Given our small number of true believers, direct engagement is not an option. Instead, Use a Commando to lead an infiltration force comprised of Shadows and Saboteurs. Seize control of both GDI Construction Yards, then eliminate our most hated enemy with their own forces. Then capture both Alien Drone Platforms. Only then will Kane's plan be allowed to come to fruition. Destroy anyone and anything that gets in your way, GDI, Nod, or Visitor.

I have spent countless hours trying to beat this mission, I used gliders to disable generators so that my forces could get through, I captured tripods or mammoths from the centre to defend myself as I took a base, every single time I was hard pressed....not once did I consider that both sides were HOLDING FIRE....FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
GDI soldiers said that, yet we don't notice

The point is to use those saboteurs since the enemy doesnt even attack you until you attack
funny thing is I figured the GDI would hold but it never occurred to me that the aliens were doing it too
I just love these cheese tactics. Sometimes it's fun to go all out war, but with this mission, I'll gladly use this method. Thank you for showing this.
Thanks a lot, man! I played C&C on easy back in the time as a kid, returned now with the Ultimate Edition and replaying on Hard. Got stuck here, but got it with this method in 4 minutes! :D

I have been trying to develop a timeline of all missions. The screen behind Kane shows a battle between GDI and the Scrin at Threshold 19. Was this the same as the Threshold 19 Scrin mission?

Oh my effing goodness, i tried mimicking this but somehow missed the planning mode part and ended up scrambling all over the 4 sites to get my saboteurs inside the buildings before they get erased from the map.

So I tried this and the moment I target the scrin's structures with my engineers in planning mode lightning immediately strikes and kills all of them. This happens before I even click the planning mode to execute. I just take both GDI bases, build up defences against the scrin, then wipe out everything but the motherships to capture them.
It did that to me once but not any other time after that. Maybe I sold one of the cloaking things or a unit was seen.
How did you get that tripod out on time? My warp spheres were obliterated by the heroic tripods as soon as I captured them
The tripods have to be the first thing you train after releasing planning mode (plan a hotkey mash to train them and the mammouth as soon as you capture the bases), make sure the coast is as clear as possible with only the 2 tripods on the hill (within reason of course, e.g. before the scrin wipe out a base with a heroic tripod), wont hurt to throw some fodder in the base like your starting shadow team on no attack stance. Don't forget to start repairing ASAP! This should give you plenty of time to complete the tripod bonus objective.
Does this work on the 360 version of the game.
When I played on normal, there are already Scrin troops just outside the space you're given. Steam version

I finally did it awhile back. I took the construction yards and transformed them and bought them back to the NOD area. Took one of each side's then started pumping out hella mammoths from the GDI war factory. From there it was just making sure they didn't kill eachother's remaining construction yards. It was a long time ago so I'm sure I'm missing some details. I woulda recorded it had I known others could use it. Good luck man.
Thanks man I almost had it in a speedrun but my engineers were killed by a few watchtowers and roaming units. Screwed me up and couldnt get ahead. I'll try your strategy.
Wow, that was totally impressive! You just completed an entire mission where two factions were fighting each other and you just recruited a massive amount of Saboteurs to capture those buildings. But could you tell me why in "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" Nod's technology seems inferior compared to their technology in "Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath"?
Tiberium Wars is about the original Nod technologies. Kane's Wrath is more about Nod sub-factions that have unique technologies.
If you are refering to why Nod here doesn't have all the cool stuff of the expansion? Talk to Kane.
He always keep the good toys by himself.
Jokes aside. In the lore the sub-factions are very small on size when compared to their main-faction.
The Steel Talons and the ZOCOM are experimental factions, that only deploy to certain circunstances.
The Black Hand are more the priest and chaplains of an army, giving blessing, baptism, confess brothers and enemies (interrogation) and purify them in rituals (literally burn them).
The Marked of Kane are all the Cyborgs CABAL never get activated and they blindly obey Kane without question. And only are awake in the end of the war.
The Scrin sub-factions are more or less like a mix between other sub-factions from the others main-factions.
The Reaper-17 with the Steel Talons and ZOCOM (land high-power while using Tiberium to buff their units).
The Traveler-59 with Black Hand and Marked of Kane (they collect intelligence of their mind controlled enemies and use them like their puppets).
How do you queue the engineers to all move at once?

I don't remember exactly because I used shortcuts on my mouse.
@@hdw It's just CTRL + Z, figured out you need to do it with all units then hit ctrl + z or click the icon on the bottom and they all move.

They are only undetectable at the beginning of the mission.

@@hdw That's weird. What's the lore reason for that? I always found that the AI was a bit weird with your engineers in the beginning of this level. How did GDI detect the engineers if they're invisible?
@@UnitAlir The force entered the combat zone unharmed (as GDI command ordered a temporary cease fire to ascertain their motives).

Fuckin zero, because I didn’t use cheats! This walkthrough is a vice world record. Only a few people in the world can reproduce it.

I spent a couple frustrating hours attempting to play this idiotic mission legitimately.. then was done and googled and saw this... uhg, still using this "strategy"

This is the worst mission - reminds me of the horrible old sneak misisons in C&C original.
