I much prefer such reviews where there is continued explanation and opinion while the reviewer follows the robot in a real live setup AS COMPARED TO so called pro reviews which basically have a common template outlining features while the narrator is seated in a chair and throwing in commonly seen video clips & pics of the robot downloaded from the manufacturer's web site. Full marks to you on the clear narration, camera work and editing. I saw the entire video in one sitting and didn't get bored at all.
You are truly a magician! I didn't skip the video even once and watched the entire 32 minutes and 10 seconds without interruption. I can't recall the last time I watched a video all the way through like that!
Thank you for the Q Revo series. I purchased the Roborock Q Revo, after reading, probably, too many reviews. I LOVE it, and have recommended it to two people already - though suggested waiitng for a sale. I discovered your videos because I searched for "maintenance", and your video helped me discover the most thorough way to perform weekly maintenance. You create very good, informative content. Thanks!
I’ve been watching videos from so many people on TH-cam for the entire year, and I finally pulled the trigger and purchased my Q Revo, it arrives today, $749. It’s our first robot vacuum, my wife didn’t want one and definitely wasn’t willing to spend more that $1000 on one, so we compromised and got the Q Revo. Your review is one of the best I’ve seen, primarily due to the real life footage showing the limitations and what you can expect for half the price for of the best models. My home is going to be an interesting challenge, perhaps I’ll make my own video. Thank you!!
I got the Q Revo and then now switch to the S8, the Q Revo really can do most of the stuff that S8 do; I like the dock design on the Q Revo and the cable management is wat better on the Q Revo; the tank opening is much easier, on the S8 it doesn't hold at the open position; however, the ultra dock does feel more premium. The reason why I switch to S8 is the mop; the spinning mop is actually a bit narrower, and for some reason it left a lot of marks on my tile. The performance feel similar, although the Q Revo has a bigger tank, but it does use more water to mop, so refilling frequency is about the same. The Q Revo does also run more quietly; if you always clean up the floor before turning on the robot, the Q Revo is great deal; also although the Q Revo mop can raise 2mm higher, but the spinning mop seems a bit thicker, so end up not much a big difference
Great editing - I can see how much work you put into the final video. Very informative commentary, enjoy your low key sense of humour too. I appreciated your overview of the room dividers and how to make the robot more efficient. Thank you very much!
Lovely review, thank you. I am considering a replacement for my old Roborock S4. The S4 was/is a vacuum only, and I opted to stay away from mopping models in the past because I didn't feel like the technology was advanced enough. After watching your review and several others, I'm convinced we are ready for a vacuum/mop combo. The price has also come down considerably over the past nine months. Today's Amazon price (May 12, 2024) is $679. I have always gotten black robot vacuums but will go white this time. Black always seems to show dust, dirt, and debris on the unit, which I noticed in your and other reviews, too. Plus, fingerprints are always present. Thanks again for the informative video! The old Commodore 64 on the table was also a nice throwback to my younger days.
Very nice video, appreciate all the tiny details, really worth watching every second!!! I just got my Q Revo couple days back unpacked and ready, now waiting for the Omo delivery to run the robot for the first time, will do the mapping and mopping at once. 🙂
These are the black stains on the carpet. The black spots do not reflect what is coming from the sensors and the robot cannot determine the distance to the surface. I bought a similar one with quite a bit of black on it and had to return it the next day as the robot flat out refused to clean it.
I have an issue. Reading a bunch of mop/vac combos and the Revo jumps out as ‘mid price but top end performance’. I also love the simpler wash tray which is easier for maintenance - no scrubbing on your knees. But- they don’t sell it in the UK for some reason!
Great video. Question time: Can you pick it up and place it somewhere else and it still knows where it is? My current deebot 920 needs to be put back in the dock if you lift it off the floor. Like if it is stuck or can’t get over a door bump
i been looking everywhere the past 2 days at this model and the narwal freo they both are around the same price at the moment in your recommendation what would be a better purchase? ik the narwal does not have self-empty bin and to be honest is not that big of a deal to me.
You mentioned washing the mop heads in the laundry machine. My understanding was that there is a mechanism that allows for the dock station to wash the mop heads. Is that untrue?
Sure, it can go for a long time cleaning itself, but eventually depending on an event or situation you would want them washed to a new quality of clean.

im doing a direct comparison between the q revo and the s8 pro ultra, it should be out soon. evenually ill do a maintenance on this one.
I’ll be doing a maintenance video in a month or so that catches up with the unit like I did with the S8

This one will take about 20 seconds to reidentify its location and then continue.
Please make a video on how to setup room order. Q Revo can save battery if rooms can be set in order. Ty

Hi
Mi filter doesn’t empty itself automatically
I can’t find anything that obstructs it
Why is that ???
So how often do u need to replace the bag in the container ? And do u need to buy a specific roborock dust bag to replace the bag in the container machine?
Depends on how much dust and dirt is collected. Aftermarket bags for cheaper are available on amazon
