the only issue I could see happening is the fact that they are only coated in resin. If you accidentally drop it or put too much pressure on it there's a possibility that it might crack a little bit but worse is if it cracks and wouldn't be noticed. molds might get in and cause discoloration. since the food ur using is mostly porous you guys should have submerged it in resin and put it in a vacuum chamber to make the resin penetrate deeper. it might slightly increase in weight but it would be more durable. as for the issue with resin going inside the wire attachment you guys could have resolved it by putting a wire inside that whole and hang it on a stick while it's being submerged in resin.
oh my god, this takes me back to a huge scandal in the japanese fashion community years and years back now. someone was selling biscuit/cookie/other small sweet jewelry pieces that were SO accurate we all wondered how they were making them. turns out, they were using Real food that was improperly coated in resin (or something similar) and we only found out when someone's biscuit brooch BROKE OPEN as it rotted and bugs came out!!!! when I tell you me and the other girls on the forums were shook. it's a good story to remember everytime you guys check your pieces for un-resined bits!
Omg I remember this! That was so messed up! Something similar happened recently with a croissant lamp someone bought that was just a real croissant covered in resin and it attracted ants!
I have a fake nose ring! I'm a goldsmith so I took a piece of 8mm rose gold wire, bent a loop in the end, like the eye pins you were using, and then bent it into a loop to curve around my nose on the side. Smoothed the pointy end out so it's not too spiky, and the small looped side goes inside the nose. The gap to slide over the nostril is about 3mm. It stays on perfectly and looks real. You could give it a go with one of your eye pins to see if you like it. Doesn't hurt to wear either, I no longer notice it's there and just take it off to wash my face and sleep. Also the food jewellery looks great! 😁
Etsy! I'd bet one of my limbs someone out there being crafty making similar charms, you could even assemble one if you find charms you like but no necklaces of the same style 😊
i feel like the uv flashlights (that are so strong that you need eye protection) should have a ring of normal light aroung where it shines uv so that you can tell even with eye protection
The only time I feel like I'm missing out while being single is when I'm watching you two! You two are the epitome of soulmates and if it's not like this I don't want it!
but what if the macaron was a locket? Maybe there's a picture inside! Maybe snacks.Maybe coins. Maybe teeth! the possibilities, while limited, are not few
For the macaron, I would have pried it apart and put one half on the back of the metal oval and the other half+filling on the front. For balance. And aesthetics!
Love these, they're all so cute. Unless I missed it though I'm worried about the back of the macaron necklace. It didn't look like it got resin before being glued onto the backing
I loved this video so much lol, for the macaron maybe putting the metal bit inside might have been better than putting it on the back (it would have been a lot less lopsided looking I think?). I know it would have required taking the cookie apart haha but tbh I think it would have been worth it. I watched this whole thing live and it was so fun!
I've been craving cinnamon teddy grahams so much lately and went to three stores which only stock chocolate chip. I'm going to have to drive two towns over
I think the macaron would’ve been much cuter with a bite mark and and an eye pin at the top, instead on the metal piece, the bite mark will not make it look from far away like it’s just a ball and also you got a cute cross-section
I think the UV glasses were skewing the color perception, like, she never said she's colorblind before this livestream? Also they've made so many rainbow inspired projects before, that i'm not inclined to think she's colorblind.
24:58 When you made a chicken nugget necklace, you said "we didn't go far enough, i want to hang an entire burger from here". well, you got what you asked for
this is a hilarious video cause some girl on titkok just went viral for buying a croissant shaped lamp only to find out later that is wasn't fake and was just an actual croissant with a light stuck into it that was then coated in resin. she found a bunch of ants in it so. just keep an eye on these creations!
That would be wasteful of the resin, a whole bowl to dip in and you're only using a coat-full, UV resin is expensive, plus it would probably create drips at the bottom
@@3173_Delta i use the stuff daily and they wouldn’t need to use a bowl full…just a small cup like she’s using to catch the drips already, and as long as she flashed them away from the cup, she could dip multiple items
You could 100% wear a clip on or magnetic nose-ring and make new jewelry ^_^ it would look cute on you and you can also use skin safe glue. also, Why didnt you just dunk them into the resin? I feel like a few didnt get completely covered 😅😅
The maccaroon needs chunky beads that compliment the colors of the macaroon like pink, white maybe some yellow and orange...I would have made a nice big hole sideways to string it with the chunky beads.
You didn't put the Lucky Charms marshmallows in order?! 😢 "Hearts, stars & horseshoes, clovers & blue moons; unicorns, rainbows, & tasty red balloons."
I used to make bottle cap pins with a Klutz craft kit that included a kiddie form of epoxy resin! I actually tried to make my class valentines one year by coating conversation hearts in the resin in the pin. My resin made the letters melt right off, so I had to settle for boring valentines 😅
Well, at least the good thing about most of the foods they used, none of them mold. They just get stale. But visually, they will look the same, no matter how old they get.
I just started watching the video but i had to comment. What do you mean the first chip earing video was 2 years ago. It feels like yesterday. I love your videos, thank you for always making my day and for constantly making me laugh ♥
Don't worry Evan, I hated putting earrings in my own ears all the time. It doesn't help that I was a victim of the horrid side effect of cheap gun piercings so the back of my ears would occasionally seal over and I'd have to reopen them myself. I stopped wearing earrings after having to deal with that too much.
I reckon I am going to enjoy this video. I make junk food earrings from Fimo like doughnuts and cinnamon buns. I always love the weird and wonderful stuff you guys make!
I, too, now, have been very confused with "I coulda sworn I've seen this before?" before realizing this is the edited version of the uncut episode I watched.
the macaroon thing is honestly ugly, i wish they had bigger posts or something similar and just stuck one in the middle of the thing so it isn't ugly in the back, and maybe turn it to a keychain or bag charm so it doesn't look so huge in comparison...
Other than wanting to dip the things instead of paint the resin on I think you could spray a matte clear coat on the cheetos and funyuns to take off the shine. Dunno if that would make them look even better.
I recently saw a video of a woman saying she bought a croissant lamp off of temu, but after some time it had some ants near that lamp. Then she realizes that the lamp was actually a hollowed out croissant and it was covered in resin 😂 this video reminded me of that 😅
As someone with 6 holes on my ears a septum and side piercings on my nose the only thing that was a pain in the ass was the septum because it was a bleeder when I was healing because it moved and I hurt a little more then a ear piercing so just keep that in mind
I wonder if the macaron would have been cuter as a hair accessory. The lucky charm necklace and charm bracelet are def my fave. I'm def craving macarons now lol

Try just dipping them. Probably easier full coverage at the cost of some wasted resin.
