I've always liked digimon's evolution methods more than any other because from the very first vpet it has taught people that if you treat your digimon with kindness you will be rewarded in kind. the anime doubled down on that concept by making the child's emotions literally be the catalyst for digivolution, to the point that mistreating them hurts them and you. bring that together with the fact that digimon has always focused on the fact that these are people with thoughts and emotions and you have a franchise that tells you treat your equals with kindness and you will be rewarded with power beyond comprehension
I've not seen anything beyond season 02 so my options on what my favourite Digimon evolution is limited. But I do find it interesting to see some interesting character designs and other ways they may evolve. Still cool though :) Also thank you for making Digimon content. Nice to see the series get some love :)

I also like XP and XP based evolution. Vital bracelet seems fun... (Also card game and spirit evolution, and spirit evolution as armor evolution with Kudamon with Digi-egg of friendship) Also really loved the Digimon 02 the beginning footage in the jogress chapter and more
Key difference between poke-evoz and digi-evos is that each pokemon have very linear evolutions.... you will never see a charmeleon evolve into a groudon, or a squirtle evolve into a torterra.....evolution is mostly more consistent in pokemon...also they generally become 1 specific color, unless you're a shiny(which is rare)... Digimon have branching evolutions that can overlap... so gabumon isn't the only rookie level digimon that can evolve into garurumon...and there is more than 1 color for garurumon as well... on the flip side, you also have digimon like veemon who can digivolve in at least 5 different ways..into 5 different digimon... digimon can also fuse together, either by melding, or absorption of data in order to evolve differently.... Also most, if not all, digimon have the potential to become extremely powerful and unique....the OG show only stopped at agumon and gabumon reaching their ultimate/mega level...but in truth, all the OG digimon actually reach that final evo stage....
Digimon are also more dependent on their tamers than Pokemon are on their trainers. A digimon will become a peice of you know what if you treat them as such. Adventure showed us this when Tai's selfishness to Agumon to evolve caused Agumon to become a monster. This wouldn't happen as of writing this with Pokemon.
I just want too mention that, with the spirit evolutions from Digimon Frontiers, while the digi-destined don't spirit evolution into other legendary warriors like Grumblemon or Gigismon in the show, you can actually get them too spirit evolution into the other legendary warrior's in the English PAL (Australian) version of the Frontiers Digivices from Version 3 onwards and version 4 which is the final version of the Digivice. Just thought it was worth mentioning as I always found that too be pretty awesome.
Digimon evolutions are superior to Pokemon Evolutions & Yugioh Summoning Methods and that the hill i will die on from Warp Evolution to DigiXrosing it all amazing ways for our Protagonist or even game avatars to level up their mons to contest against stronger threats
If it's superior then why is Digimon less popular than Yugioh or Pokemon? Perhaps it's because Digimon fans like to bad mouth other franchises. It's fine to have that opinion, but maybe keep it to yourself. Or at least be a bit nicer about it. Besides, Pokemon level up their mons to take on bigger treats.

Probably the biggest reason with the popularity is a combination of franchise complexity and business mismanagement (ask many of the fans of bandai owned franchises and you will begin to see a pattern). Add in the fact that digimon will go semi-"shin megami tensi" at times and you have an extra layer of demographic strain (non kid friendlyless). Hope that explains some things

while there's many rules and possibilities to digivolve into any digimon you so desire. be they friendship or dreams or wishes. just know this guys. Yggdrasil or Digital world saves all memories and all digimon datas of good and evil. like for example Lucemon,GranDracumon,Omegamon,Leomon. you can digivolve into any digimon you can desire with or without rules. Hence why If Yggdrasil or maybe a different AI entity saves all the datas like Kernel, you can summon forth any digimon. hence why gacha exists.
There is no Adult Stage. Stop using these names. It is Baby , In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate and Mega and Mode-Change or Fusion. Stop using these other terminologies as it is making it confusing.

All these evolution gimmicks show how creative Digimon is, but the standard evolution is still my favorite.
Cats are seen as vessels for the gods in Egypt, which is why Tailmon/Gatomon evolves into Angewomon, and also has an Egyptian armor evolution.

Champion IS the adult stage as that’s what it is in the Japanese version of the terms
Adult stage is the original Japanese for Champion. Original it's Egg - Baby - Baby II - Child - Adult - Perfect - Ultimate
