there is some problem in this bike, EFI tune up or valve adjustment i think other thing is clutch plate replacement these few things must work perfectly , for the actual performance
This bike was quite new. Don't think it is valves or clutch plate or they were wrong from factory. Not sure where you live but it is also possible that in Europe the KLX is slower than the USA model.
I've read that there is a limiter on the engine that only lets it rev to 7k in 5th and 6th gear. If you bridge the switch on the clutch lever it will bypass it.
Ive reved up to 8k and higher in 5 and 6th without bridging the switch on the clutch lever, mines a 2014 is there a differwnce between older and newer bikes?
Ppl making comments like: "My street bike goes faster than that." Or "My scooter goes faster than that." somehow COMPLETELY miss the point of these dual-sport/purpose bikes... 😒 these bikes ride on the road but that is just a bonus. They are made for being an off-road vehicle. Can you do that with your street bike? Can you do that with your scooter? The answer to both is no. I mean you COULD put knobby dirt bike tires on your street bike but because it isn't designed for it will demolish it. Anyways, this is a dual purpose bike and it is not made for 0-60 speed records 😑
True! But the same goes for torque. A lot of people only look at top speed while torque is more fun and more important. I'd rather ride an 800cc bike that goes 150 km/h than a 150cc bike that can reach that speed.
That part start wondering like do i need manténganse on the dhit i fucked up with thay manténganse shit AYE I NEED THAT SHIT BACK fuck you you can hace it shit useless out here anyway pfffffshhhhpffffff 😅
Yes this is true!!! My weight is 90kg and this is the real top speed on the flat road. I talked always without any modifications. This bike is perfect for off road trips, but if someone needs to used at anytime and anywhere , except to a highway's is a perfect choice.
Yeah, they're quite good off road. In the UK we're allowed to have full on off road tyres for road bikes, it makes the whole bike much better than in some countries that don't allow knobbly tyres
@@chrisredfield3240 you are comparing apples and bananas. The bike you're talking about is a street bike. This is a dual-purpose bike. It's mostly a dirt bike. Completely different

Yes it is. Carbs have been gone in Europe for a long time except for some Chinese junk but also that had to change as of 2016. Most bikes over here got injection after 2006 I think.
so an hour drive on a 70mph interstate with general traffic speed of 80mph, this bike might keep up but while cranking up the rpms in its highest gear, right? is an hour drive at that pace doable on a bike like this? can ANY dual sport comfortably keep up with 80mph traffic for prolonged rides?
This KLX won't have a problem with 70 mph. It will have a problem on long rides at 80 mph. Big displacement dual sports can handle 80 mph for longer periods. Think of 600-650cc bikes. I've had a Suzuki DR650SE for several years and it had no problems on the freeway. Top speed was about 107 mph.
I'm 5'3" and 125 lbs and wide open I can get to low 80's mph, it could do that for an hr but I wouldn't recommend it. It would be hard on the bike if you did that regularly plus it's not very comfortable. I would go with a DRZ400S, KTM450 or maybe even a XR650L
I recommend you a Suzuki DR 650, I have one and it can comfortably go 80mph on the highway and then climb some real mountains without any problem. A really good dual sport bike.

Mines actually a 2012 carbureted version. I weigh 100kgs plus riding gear but it doesn't seem to phase it. the torque and power is minimal but if you ride it the way it was intended and ride it smoothly in the meat if the rpm range ie. mid rpm's then its a very capable bike. I ride a lot of trail and despite its weight and lack of jumping ability, its actually very fast. Now it may just be because im getting older but I think the klx is my favourite bike out of all I've ridden because it is so versatile and basic. just change the oil every 1000-2000 kms and clean the air filter regularly and it will remain silky smooth for years. Great bike regardless of top speed!
Top speed for these kind of bikes isn't important, just like you said. My XR was more based for offroad riding than this KLX.
