    This Zheng Yubo is a fucking beast, he can pot anything from any position... Sick!

    At least these guys over in China are listening to Earl Strickland and making the game better! Smaller pockets, stunningly beautiful tables, referees, and decent prize money...and much more

    • @abusiveFIRE
      @abusiveFIRE 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +abusiveFIRE I would consider opting for a faster paced game that viewers can really get caught up in like a rotation game (9/10 ball) or maybe even one pocket with a shot clock and a few timeouts

      Well said. People who haven't tried Chinese 8 ball don't even have a clue that how difficult this table is. It's gonna scare them easily and most of so-called good player in U.S.A. can't even run a simple rack.

    Zheng yubo's cue action and cue ball control are amazing. What a beast he is! Shane always has been one of my favorite players but yubo is better in my opinion.

    Smaller pockets Shane?

  • @WardHails
    @WardHails 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ummm... not that it really matters... but is ZHENG USING A HOUSE CUE!? I don't see a joint on it... so it doesn't look like a two piece. And if he owns that cue... how does he carry it around? Am I mistaken here...? And thanks for the upload, Alison. A pleasure to watch as always.

      +Ward Hails Lots of snooker pros use one piece cues.

    • @maxyoung2307

      The cue he uses is actually really expensive, it worth around $2000.

      long case.

    • @TheNicestWolf
      @TheNicestWolf 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      because snooker cues use maple in the butt, similar to a pool cue, and ash as the shaft material, I highly doubt it's a one piece. it's rare to find ash used a butt material. I could be mistaken, but most of the snooker cues I've seen are two piece simply due to the shaft material being a preferred ash material.

    • @chuckmurray2660
      @chuckmurray2660 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wrong! Many if not most snooker pros use a one piece ASH cue. They simply get a longer case. Many like the feel of a one piece. Some use maple. If jointed, they use a 3/4 configuration, not a 1/2 (50-50) joint. Makes it feel more like a one piece.

    He use a Snooker cue isn it ?

    • @TehCruiser
      @TehCruiser 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Their not snooker cues. Teir pool cues, but are hand made cues. They are made the same way, since the the stifness of the shafts and weight balance are better. The big difference is in the tip size. I believe the pool cues are around 10 to 11 (the one Zheng is using)

    im Chinese pool player, and i would like to tell you guys who haven't experiencing this kind of table before that this table is an 8 ft size table with "snooker pocket" ,which requires player play straight in, unlike American pool table which allows you can cheat pockets very often, so this is very hard to play. I can ERO on bar table 5-6games in a row but cannot ERO twice on this table. By the way, YUBO was training from snooker early days and transform into this game later, his cue worth 3000 dollars which is a pretty solid cue.

    • @rickharrison3522

      I have played snooker few times. It seems impossible to me that pool ball can enter snooker pocket at all. These pockets are bigger. But yeah they are very tight.

      *****
      Balls and rules are regular 8-ball.
      The table is completely different though. It's a 9 footer, but with pockets, cloth and rails similar to snooker tables.

      @davids11131113 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know there are no cue restrictions, the only time I've run into any type of cue restrictions in a tournament was 'no jump length cues', you had to use your playing length cue to jump, and 'no phenolic break tips'.

      Zheng Yubo practises accuracy on snooker tables (with 145 breaks in competition) and practises cueing on Joy's tables. That's why he plays so accurate and fluent on the small table.

    Chinese are the most precise and accurate pool players I've ever seen. Most Americans and Europeans get dominated.

  • @yingtianbang1031
    @yingtianbang1031 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    As far as I know, Shane bought this table back to the States, but I dont think he can play better on this table cuz of different training system. Shane is the best in America, but do not imagine he is the best in the world, there are a lot of Chines player like YUBO plays good too but due to they can not speak english, they wont go out to play world matches often, in China, money game is really big and prize in pool hall also great, most pool players in China are mid-class people which they wont really care about making money or not, but in America, most pool players play this for living, this would explain why so many Americans cannot believe their god got beaten badly, do not be a frog in the wells, Shane is good player, but never the best in the world.

    • @zebai7545
      @zebai7545 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not really. The pack is tight but pockets of Joy's table are also tight. Breaking on Chinese 8-ball table needs some techniques.

    Chinese 8 ball is interesting and certainly difficult.
    However, the fact that top international players need to go to China to earn a living is a sad commentary on the moribund state of American tournament pool.
