What a great match. Two of the best players in the game today. A joy to watch.

WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE WATCHING THE FINALS? HAVE IT IN NEW YORK CITY, YOU WILL GET 100 PEOPLE.

Haha, at 1:17 the annoucer says I bet he will run the rack in two minutes. It took him one minute and 12 seconds.

how sad. maybe 50 people in the audience? at most. 20 years ago it would have been a packed arena and on ESPN. Sad, this was the main stream for this event and only 4,000 people have watched it. We have millions of people watching live on stream the snooker masters this week over in London, yet can't even get more than 4,000 people to watch this 9 ball championship with two of the best pool players in the world. Whoever is in charge of promotions for the pool league needs to be replaced. obviously.

THERE IS NO EXCITEMENT UNLESS YOU GAMBLE. THIS IS BEING PLAYED IN A CASINO, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GAMBLE WITH ODDS. RIGHT NOW ONLY POOL PLAYERS WATCH THIS. IF YOU COULD GAMBLE ON THIS, YOU WILL GET ALL THE GAMBLERS AND THERE ARE ALOT OF THEM, WATCHING THIS.

True that. But Poker is very much to blame. People can make much more money with a lot less physical effort playing Poker. The TV networks switched to promoting Poker years ago. I never like Pool on ESPN though. They were always editing matches to be shorter to fit their time frame. Pissed me off.

You can’t compare snooker to pool. That’s like comparing F1 to go karting

@@TheJohnCooper well I can. And I did. What you said is an opinion. I love snooker and pool. This isn't a who's dick is bigger constest like I know most guys like to make it out to be. Just ridiculous bro.

@@egroegartfart its not a showboating contest. But its a direct answer to your original point. Pool is not on the same level as snooker. Snooker is a high esteemed event, with the finest cueists in world. Its obviously going to attract the best audiences. Pool is a great game and i love to play it, but you cant compare the two. No need to feel defensive about it.

Why are they using an old fashioned rack and constantly nit picking on how the balls are racked? Use a Magic Rack and get them tight and be done with it.

The results are too consistent sometimes and stuff gets predictable. Look at Chinese 8 ball. They make balls in the side literally every break with the magic rack.

What cue is Jayson using now. I know he was with Meucci but that’s not the same cue he had with them is it a different Meucci or did he switch cue sponsors?

They need to evolve the Turning Stone to 10 ball, as this is too easy. Or at least one of Turning Stones per year.

Shaw wins 13-7 mind blowing how many errors Shane made in this match🤦‍♂️

SVB has the stronger break but Jayson pockets balls like no player I've ever seen. This match is a pick-em to my mind. But if I had to pick a winner it would be Jayson. And his advantage in my mind is much less than 1 percent out of 100 percent. When I wrote the last 2 sentences it was the beginning of the match I skipped ahead and now see that Jayson is winning by a good margin. Regardless, it doesn't change my mind. These two players are deadly close in ability and on any given day it's probably a pick-em when they play.
And I love the way that elder commentator says Shaw pronouncing it Sharrw with his eastern accent. My step father did the same thing for his whole life even though he moved to the Seattle area from Bronx N.Y. when he was in his 20's. You'd think after 60 + years he would have lost his N.Y. accent, ....but no. hehe

Man I’ve been practicing 6 days a week around 1-3 hours a day for 8 months. I wish I was at this level just to chat with these pros regularly. My highest break and run in 9 ball is 7 balls lol.
Playing with side English is starting to develop in my game. Up until about a week ago all I used was top or bottom to get me where I needed to be next. Shot making is great, just need more cue ball control.
