Such a great video in explaining chip strategy! For someone new to fantasy like myself, it was so eye-opening to see and understand why limitless is not the best strat for a Sprint Weekend. Thanks for the great vid!
Thanks for the video Rein, really interesting and helpful analysis! Particularly how to get VER in with C tier constructor for a sprint race, not sth I'd thought about, so very helpful! As you said, risk, with this, but that kind of differential could be very powerful. Two none points related concerns I'd have with this though (if it didn't work out), are 1) getting priced out of my go to best lineup: FER+MCL+NOR+LEC/PIA as I can only just afford that; 2) to get VER in then out again for the next race that's 4 transfers in total committed just to this. More widely on the 3xDRS I'm a bit surprised that Qatar isn't getting more of a consideration online. Last year the track suited MCL best, they had a good advantage given the sweeping corners - could be the same again this year. Also, no risk of rain, unlike COTA or Brazil. Though, I don't like the gravel traps in Qatar, lose it and driver is beached.
Problem with Qatar is that it's the last one so it's a bit of a risk leaving your chip for last, but I do think it could be a huge differential decision to use it there. Though keep in mind that if we get to COTA and Hamilton is P17 after SQ that you should reroute that idea and just pop the 3x then! I agree with your assessment of MCL in Qatar though, NOR + PIA could be very powerful there!
@@ReinFantasythanks, other than explaining the tier C option to get VER in under certain circumstances, thanks for outlining that we need to focus on if any top Tier A, B driver has a bad Sprint Quali (team lock after this session) , potential for big points differential in the Sprint Race - that's why China was so powerful this year, PER plus couple other good assets gained overtakes, positions in China Sprint Race. Issue could be that with no pitstops, no tyre offsets in Sprint Races, potential for DRS trains, need to be confident that overtakes will be possible in Sprint. COTA, Brazil should still have good potential. Can't wait for COTA!
@@dmg8530 For sure! That is the most important part of the video, most of the video is that one in a hundred outcome where we need max + Lando but I had to explain it fully!
Hey Rein, great analysis! I think dropping FER/MER to HAA/WIL on sprint weekends loses 40 points on average (I think they will score evenly in the sprint). VER 2x over LEC/PIA with that 5-place penalty will probably score 10 points more (20 on 2x). NOR will probably win and get DOTD so I don’t think the 3x on VER is viable. I’m not even going to bother considering if it’s viable with a VER P17 in sprint quali because that just won’t happen 😅 So my personal conclusion is that dropping to a C tier constructor to afford VER 2x for extra DRS would be net -20 points. Sorry if it turns out you did all this work for nothing 😭 😂 On my personal 3x plans, probably planning on triple MCL and MER in Brazil/Qatar because the high speed tracks suit MCL/MER and I don’t have the transfers for triple MCL for COTA.
Oh I am VERY aware that a C-tier constructor likely won't be worth it. The ONLY scenario where I'd even consider it is what I stated in the video where Max has a quali shocker. Very likely to just use it on NOR + PIA in Cota currently
I have NOR+SAI. Would you: A) 3x - downgrade FER > MER + downgrade ZHO > BOT to upgrade SAI to HAM/LEC/PIA (only way to afford a NOR + A-tier driver) B) No Negative - shift around c-tiers depending on sprint quali and play 3x in Brazil

Interesting at the very least.
The stars really need to all align to even consider taking this *risk*.
For sure, but even the thought of a C-tier constructor being viable in A scenario is crazy 🤪

you had me the whole time until even with the bad sprint quali we were talking a 7 point gain over a meta lineup lol

Are you tempting me to go Williams in COTA? Rein you are mad 😅😅😅😅
Just putting the offer on the table! 😅
Is it worth it to have Mc and Fer, Lando and Max, Cola, Bottas and Zhou?
Definitely!
