I have never seen a season where the battles basically are not battles, they’re just duets. This is amazing.
YESS normally they are like battling singing on top of each other but i love how this time its duets. it acc helps you hear their voices and the dynamic and talent each person has.

Man, D. Smooth meant every single word! The passion he gives when he sings was everything! He really surprised me here! All his adlibs felt like they were coming from his soul and falling out his mouth!

One of if not my favorite battle this season. Very strong vocalists both. The way they navigated the song together was so magical. D. Smooth definitely possesses a sound that hearkens back to those gut-wrenching 90s R&B performances that its hard to capture in this day and age.
This was INCREDIBLE, entering a rare echelon of battle rounds that make both sides sound amazing. It's impossible, listening to this, to pick a side. This performance was more than the sum of its parts.
