I love that there isn’t any Night Life here. Long ago it drove me crazy how quite it would get by 11pm but nowadays I love the fact that it’s quite around here. Sunday mornings are quieter still. I hope no more houses are built though because what makes this place so great are it’s open terrain and beautiful wildlife.
The video shows primarily the west side community of Valencia (a master planned community which began in the 60s) and a little bit of Newhall. Since I came, the population has more than quadrupled and the basic character has changed from the semi-rural flavor it once had. I came originally to work for a company located in the first of many industrial centers in the area and happily moved to the established community of Canyon Country (east end, not shown here) shortly afterward. Crazy growth remains a problem.
naw the fires every summer keep me away. that's why I moved back down the hill 😂 hell naw like the 14fwy been on fire way too many times. and lets not forget about traffic. might as well live closer to work cause you're also gunna travel long distances to do anything. id live here if you have no life and hate going out. used to travel 60 miles round trip per day, 2 hour there 1 hour back. now I just drive like 10 minutes and everything is around me, even on traffic days. who wants to be stuck in traffic all day.
Great informational video! What are the major employment industries in the Santa Clarita/New Hall/ Valencia/Stevenson Ranch area so folks can avoid the LA commute toward the 405 or Downtown areas?
Nice video here. So it's a bit to pretty darned expensive there. I live in the Bay Area, and SC seems like the Santa Rosa, CA of the LA Area. But it's VERY expensive to live here!! Not as hot though. 101 is pretty busy, area is experiencing a lot of growth as well. Lots of new apartment buildings going up for $2,000/month, for a 1BD/1BA MINIMUM. Yeah!
Santa Rosa can be pretty ghetto in certain areas and Santa Clarita isn’t like that at all. You can get a little crime in Canyon Country and Newhall, but nothing like the Santa Rosa gang problem.
I also love that there are not that many Liquor Stores, and the few that around are not open 24hrs. I love that there are no Strip Clubs, too. No weed dispensaries. I like that there are not that many Bars.
No! You've got the San Fernando Valley below and Palmdale Lancaster California above and Bakersfield off to the side. It's sandwiched in between two crap holes. That doesn't mean Santa Clarita isn't a crap hole. It's a complete crap hole with terrible government, terrible people and terrible Sheriff's. It couldn't be worse. Lots of crime. The city just keeps building and building even though there's not enough resources. The traffic is bad, the air pollution is getting bad worse than it ever has been and it's not a good place. Most of the people are the worst, snobs that act like they're richer than they really are. Most of the kids are on drugs, similar to the San Francisco upper-middle-class children all wasted on cough syrup or whatever is the latest thing. A sheriff recently committed suicide in a crowded bar in Valencia California which is part of the Santa Clarita Valley. The guy took out his gun and quite literally blew his head off in a karaoke bar setting. He could have killed somebody with a ricochet. They interview the father and he said the guy was a real hero. More like real weirdo. He must have seen terrible things while working as a sheriff and was completely unstable. The District Attorney's office has a m assistant DA that's a creepy woman. I met her a few times and her many girlfriends. She is an alcoholic weirdo. As I mentioned, the sheriff's department is really bad. They are slow to respond if you have any kind of issues and they are busy setting up speed traps. Complete farce!
Santa clarita ca amazing place to drop by if you travel to eat.but on the top middle of the mountain's and no where lol close to burbank those were the days.adios california loving indiana hahaha
Thanks for the video! But why would you post Wikipedia + statistic data here? I can Google all this stuff. Not to mention that economic data is CONSTANTLY changing.
Huge mistake !!! Going there and the San Fernando Valley!!! getting in touch with my cousin and supposed friends !!! I just didn't know who they really and the people they associate with!!!
Terrible City. Racism is high, taxes is high, prices are high, traffic is awful, whether is terrible all 4 seasons, crime is rising, housing is terrible. I cant wait to leave this state.

Great review of Santa Clarita. However, the low night life activity is not a con but a pro for many.
I agree with you 👍
Went there once and loved it. People there were super friendly.
👍
Been here 21 years near the College of the Canyon, great location and view, wouldn't live anywhere else as a native Californian.
Agree, Santa Clarita is a great location to live, a little expensive though...

Brazilian Greetings, a car passed with a ucranian flag there in the video, the city is Beautiful
It's a great option to move out of LA and still be close to it.
I also love that there are not that many Liquor Stores, and the few that around are not open 24hrs. I love that there are no Strip Clubs, too. No weed dispensaries. I like that there are not that many Bars.
A outher pro: Great schools with special education support
👍
Are there any other cities nearby with similar offerings ?
Plenty of them nearby

The heat is terrible. Many upper 90s and triple digits days, especially during the summer.
That's true, 100-110F is way too hot 🥵
