Great review, very thorough and easy to understand. Thank you also for pointing out that on counter units are generally cleaner due to not being forgotten, that's so true.
Thank you for this thorough review. I have been wanting a water filtration system for years. I really like the idea of this being easier to keep clean than an u set sink system and pointing out that you need under counter space to refill the water reservoir.
Thank you for the review!! I have been learning so much about the quality of water and this one really feels like a good option for me and my family. I like the size and portability of it. Thank you for the suggested minerals because it feels like there’s so many to choose from!
I love that Quinton is coming to North America! Quinton was a French doctor. What we call "Eau de Quinton" (Quinton's water) in France is huge and was once given intravenously to heal various sicknesses. It's supposed to have a similar structure to our blood and therefore helps clean it up. Thank you for this video!
Instead of a VOC carbon filter you can now also get the alkaline mineral boost filter instead from aquatru. And that will remineralize your water right away
Aquatru sells a Countertop Sliding Tray for the purifier. It helps tremendously when removing the supply tank, or when filling a larger container using the spigot. Simply press the unlock button and slide the unit to the edge of the counter. Well worth $30.
Damn it’s been a while since I’ve seen a video with this much quality. I mean the lighting, visual, angles and music. I really appreciate that effort you put into your work 🫡💯
Love this coming from Water and Wellness - LOVE their products.... such a perfect solution for those that can't do plumbed in units. Really want to get one for my mom who only drinks from the tap 🤦♀.
Love this review!! There needs to be more reviews and education on amazing systems like this so we can promote health to the ones we love. In times like these there needs more focus on things that will encourage healthy habits. I'd love to share this product with my family so we can be hydrated and healthy. I love to win this product so I can share a informative review as well!! ❤
Great video and review. I currently have a decent filtration system under my kitchen sink, but I'll be switching to the countertop RO system soon. Also I've tried Quinton minerals and they are a life changer!
I love water &wellness products! The Quinton water is absolutely amazing!!!! I use the Quinton daily and have been thinking about investing in the aqua tru. (Right now I’m buying the green glass bottles of mountain spring water by the case)! Thanks for this review… it’s given me great info for consideration. 🙏🏻
I love my Aqutru. I’ve had it for a number of years. Definitely would buy again, and recommend it to others. I just need to do some venting though. Their communication is terrible. I’m really disappointed. No confirmation of the order. No communication of back order status. I ended up making multiple orders because it didn’t look like my initial order went through. About a month later I got both orders that I made. I called. They said they were back ordered (again…no communication of back order). Had I known that I could have cancelled one of the orders. While waiting for my original orders, which I thought didn’t go through, I made a third order😖 While on the phone with support, I asked that the third order be cancelled. He confirmed that it was cancelled. Lo and behold, I get the third order today. No mention that it was shipped or anything. If you buy filters from them, don’t expect ANY form of communication. If I didn’t like the AquaTru so well I’d dump these guys.
Would love to see product review on affordable options for tea kettles that are safe to use and what’s the difference in material like enamel on steel or ceramic etc..:)
after 3 months of usage - are you still happy with it? :-) I'm affraid that there will add some bacteria in the part where the water comes into the glass
Appreciate the review and the tip to remineralize RO water! Makes sense when you think about it. I knew the importance of reverse osmosis but didn't realize it took out the good with the bad. Pretty cool you can get both the Quinton and aquatru as a package together.
It sounds reasonable but it is not true. We get vast majority of micronutrients (including minerals) from food we eat, not from water we drink. Thanks for the review!
How would the water being stored under the sink have anything to do with its’ quality? It’s in a pressurized tank. Purge it once monthly if you don’t drink a lot of water.
i think aquatru is now selling a VOC filter that adds the essential minerals in the water so we dont have to do anything afterwards, correct me if I'm wrong please.
How much fluoride does the Aquatru remove? I am using distilled water for drinking, but need another source to rinse my veges and for sprouting. I do not want fluoride in my water. I was using the Big Berkey with two Black Berkey filters and two PF-2 Fluoride filters, but found out that Berkey uses Aluminum Oxide in their PF-2 filter to filter out the fluoride. The aluminum then gets into the drinking water, and the PF-2 does not remove as much fluoride as they have stated.
I don't like the idea of cracking glass and shaking the container whenever. I immediately think about small glass pieces, that can occasionally drop in mouth or water. Also tritan is not really proven material. For example, UV light makes it leach into the water. There are studies and cases about it in the Internet, but no one keeps attention. The truth is that definitely if you need a good water, the filter should be easy to clean, made with safe materials, the same with the filters. Nobody opens filters to see what's inside after month of usage.
Every reverse osmosis produces waste water. Waste water is added back to unfiltered container and then mixed water is filtered again. That's why it won't empty the tank completely and you can't top up water - first empty the tank and then fill with tap water. Some of the countertop systems have divided tank to separate waste water. When he lifts unfiltered water tank there are two holes in the base - one is for taking water, the other one is for pushing back waste water
If we're talking about wasting water, so does taking a shower, mopping your floors, brushing your teeth, washing your hands, doing the dishes. The way I see it is, I'm NOT wasting water, I am USING water to purify my drinking water and I think that is worth it.
Getting a filter for your whole tap water system is better because when you think about it, each time you shower or brush your teeth your teeth and skin absorb the nasty water, so what’s the point in drinking filtered water when your efforts of avoiding the chemical soup water goes to waste?
The amount that of water that enters your body when drinking is a lot more compared to when showering although it is probably better to filter all water.
Thank you for the video. I have a question: Should I add a Quinton droplet to every glass of water I drink, or just once a day? I've read that RO (reverse osmosis) water can leach minerals from your teeth and other sources.
Can you please do a review on the new pentair rocean reservoir??? Its half the price of Aquatru and aesthetically looks better in my opinion too. I was debating if I should get the Aquatru but I just can't with the price... Pleae review pentair rocean reservoir, you're so great!
Excellent review! We have an under-the-sink RO unit, but are sure to keep it maintained and free of contaminants. Also a big fan of Tracy Duhs, Quinton and molecular hydrogen from Water & Wellness. Great stuff!
Under counter is better because it’s a “closed system” where bacteria cannot enter. Countertop units are “open system” and very open to bacteria…hand touching, opening lid, cooking, etc. I know you want to sell this, but don’t lie about closed vs open when it comes to bacteria and mold. Other than that, this is a great system.
as long as you clean the this unit with soap and water every week, and keep the lids closed (they do close snug) you don't need to worry about bacteria at all. Or , just make your RO water and immediately put in the container , sealed for storage.
Reverse osmosis is used pretty loosely here. This unit has three filters in series that remove various contaminants. The rate at which the water flows through couldn’t be a true R.O. System as there is no waste line or micro membrane
It is important to understand that during the "filtration run" the tap water tank water that is being filtered becomes increasingly contaminated. This is why it is critical that the tap water tank be emptied when the indicator turns blue and completely refilled with your regular tap water. Also, if your regular tap water is heavily contaminated to begin with, I would think there would be a possibility that the combination of its regular contaminants + the filtered contaminants that flowed back to the tap water tank could overload the filters rated contaminant removal percentages. So this is not a great solution for heavily contaminated tap water. Also, filter life is also critical. Since the unit only filters a relatively small amount of water before it needs refilling- it seems less likely the rated gallon capacity will be approached before the replacement filter indicates it needs changing (based on how long its been in use and/or rated gallon usage). What would be interesting to know is not only how effectively the Aquatru unit filters when the filters and unit are new, but over the course of one to two years.
It backfills into the tap water tank. You end up with about 25% of the tap tank left as waste water. You then dump & fill with new tap water. It kind of makes this a multi pass through system.

Close to 25% water waste (live in a desert), filters are expensive. No mention of fluoride or crpto parasite removal. I'll keep looking. Also the idea of breaking glass over what you are about to consume is worrisome. Just eat some clean seaweed if you want minerals.

Every RO system I know of creates dirty waste water. How is it possible that this one doesn't? Seems suspicious.
Have you found out any more info on this?
If you watch other reviews, they say it does create a waste byproduct. So maybe it’s oversight by this reviewer.
It’s just a series of filters. The contaminants are trapped in the 3 filters which are replaced periodically

if quinton minerals are made from the ocean - how about microplastic in there, like in sea salt?
What about taking a multi-mineral supplement, or a multivitamin-plus-minerals?
