Always curious why this and other pc only 2d fighters don’t appear on home consoles. I’m sure there may be many reasons but given how much shovelware makes a way it’s curious to me. Great vid!
It’s the same game but with 3 new characters. No rollback, no HD resolution (still runs on 4:3 like a ps2 game), menus are the same, commentators are the same. It’s exactly the same game as 10 years ago. Just a lazy port to get more cash in. Just to give you an idea how lazy the devs are. Their official website still runs in http (insecure connection to the internet), instead of https which is the secure way to run a website. That’s how lazy the company behind this game is. Cool game, but you’d think they updated things by 2024. But they still think it’s 2006.
Not to defend them after 7 years of absolute radio silence, but this was made by only one person on his spare time due to working a full time job. This doesn't excuse them. The lack of acknowledgement from the other two devs is also a problem.

And this “sequel” (it could’ve been a dlc update, but moneeeey), just makes it worse. I like the original game for what it was, and I play it from time to time. But not dropping a dime on this. Do feel sorry for the single soul who tried doing work on this. But this game just screams “2006”, and you can’t keep doing that when all recent games at least try to do basic 1280x720 res.
@@RevengerPhoenix part of me feels like this version was mostly finished back then. Also about the issue of the game 'looking' outdated, perhaps that is because they only kept the Japanese home market in mind and wanted to keep the game's aesthetics. However, by doing so, the dev ignored the international audience that gave the game some rapport, and the IndieGOGO campaign. Rollback isn't implemented, and a lot of the characters promised weren't in this release... This version feels like it is of lower quality than AoC.

This game is 480 pp … in 2024 .. it could have been a great game maybe even master but can’t play this except with a gameboy :/
