Taeyang is a kpop ICON. He and Bigbang have been on hiatus since 2017 with zero activities so we VIPs are thrilled to have him back!
He's the main vocal of Bigbang, the OG kings of kpop who changed the whole of kpop industry to what it is now (for example Bigbang and their leader GD (G-Dragon) were the first ones to write and produce their own music so our boys BTS and others can write and produce their own music). They were HUGE in South Korea and internationally before streaming, social media and TH-cam.
Taeyang debuted with BB in 2006 so he's been in the industry for a long time and he and BB have so many good songs. Bigbang was and is a huge influence for younger idols, they are the blueprint. BTS members have said many times that BB are their idols and role models. Jimin especially adores Taeyang.

Taeyang alway gave me ne-yo and omarion vides😂 the way he wore his hat in this MV is definitely Ne-yo 😂, Wedding dress was a big hit internationally. This song was my childhood 😂😂, everyone from school was play this song and dancing to this.

I'm sure I've heard this song on radios back in the day when the world didn't even know what kpop is. It was so popular back then. Then I memorized EYES, NOSE LIPS first before even diving into kpop, I just know the song by heart. He was my first love. You can start reacting to eyes nose lips in fantastic duo in Bigbang channel
And I just wanna flex, Taeyang as a solo artist won Song of The Year at MAMA. his songs are very much known in SK. It was his songs that pulled me to kpop on top of his very good personality and musicality. He is also a work-home-food-gym-church person who is very romantic. If you have time, you can watch Taeyang WHITE NIGHT DOCUMENTARY in his channel, my man is very hardworking, a perfectionist, and hands-on. He's just very deep.

Cut some slacks people. Can you react to "Ringer Ringer" there is two versions dance performance and MV, "Where you at", Eyes Nose Lips, Good Boy (GDxTaeYang). Many more then perhaps also move onto BigBang. Their live performances are dope, they are known for killing presences in live stage.
the reason why everyone wants you to react to Eyes, Nose, Lips is not only bc it’s Taeyang’s biggest song, but bc he wrote that song to get back with his ex-gf at the time (her picture is in the video and he’s currently married to her with a son.) In researching Taeyung has been around for 17 years but has been away for 6 years and 2 years I of that was in the Military . He is married with a 3 year boy. This colab with Jimin, I believe his first step back into the Industry .

yeah you can trakc bigbangs influences really easily - theyve always been really open about their hiphop influences and when they debuted in 2006 they were straight inspired by b2k etc - taeyangs early solos (this was in 2008 so loner than 13 years ) were very omarian/usher vibes, and you can see them slowly transition into their own artists - I think thats why they have so many asian guy fans though, everyone worldwide knows american artists , white and black, are cool in their own way, especially hiphop and r&B were straight bangers at the time, sand BB were the first to really take that sound and mould it for an asian audience in a way, so they could find asians cool too

Taeyang and GD even did acrobatic dance in the debut years . They started experiment with many styles after the members especialy GDragon started to write and produce their music . They also gave up on sincronised group dancing . They realised at large concerts fans are too far to see the dance so they concentrate on interactions with the audience. So after know Taeyang from Fantastic Duo, I also came to like Bigbang. I agreed with what you said in the begining. You are pronouncing his name correctly “Yang” is pronounced “yah” and not “yeh”. Jimin is my ult bias through and through. I’m not much of a Kpop fan, but I appreciate it when there are good music regardless of genre, Kpop being one. The only Kpop groups I more than casually listened to were Big bang and BTS. Taeyang is easily my most fav in BB with GD close second. Taeyang is really talented, a great singer (better on live performances) and a great dancer. He’s also very humble and genuinely a really good person. Jimin has been such a huge fan of Taeyang. Jimin and Taeyang have different personalities but have so much similarities. I love them both. I’m excited for both of their albums that are coming out soon.
Jimin is my bias in BTS and they’re my ULTIMATE FAVORITE Kpop group of all time. Taeyang is my bias in Big Bang and I’ve been apart of the Kpop community since 2007. I LOVE Jimin but Taeyang is my ULTIMATE bias 😩😩

I don't expect those new to KPOP to know Bigbang or TVXQ. Eyes nose Lips is the song he is really known for..He likes MJ and is known as the Korean Usher. I've followed Bigbang since the start and can not pick between. TOP, Taeyang, GD and Deasung..It's a strain, they are all so great in their ways.. Wake me up is a good one to react to. It was right before they went to the military. The white nights albums is amazing. Also don't pay attention to the those fans for them it's hard to get out of the mentality of he's being dragged because they've been through it with bb and their fans being bullied for years and a lot of disrespect. I understand, I had never heard of Taeyung, but after seeing him perform he is talented and He is Jimin's Idol and that good enough for me because he chooses everything very wisely. Jimin is my bias and BTS is the first and only Kpop group I followed since 2021 when I accidentally discovered them be cause of Jimin standing out on the James Cordon and Jimmy Fallon . 💜

A short kpop history . The begining of modern music ,for young people was with group Seo Taiji and Boys . They are not kpop but took music into the modern age . The YG Entertainement founder is One of The Boys in that group . The kpop system with idols trained and groups formed, idea was imported from Japan by SM founder. After success of 1 gen idols in Korea to make more income SM decided to target large markets in Asia . First Japan , training especialy for that a girl named BOA . After her , the group TVXQ took over Japan and kpop was there to stay after that. Second They went after China with Super Junior . To blend in they had a sub-unit with chinese members . That was the begining of Hallyu wave . Another agency JYP had successful artists too , BTS producer worked with them so when he debut his own group he knew how things worked . On YG side BigBang was the first idol group . Their success was not planed . There was no strategy to conquer a specific market . They just got big globaly based on the people liking the music . They had no interviews , promotions in the West. They won the first award for a korean artist at MTV EUROPE 2011 and had the first world tour Alive in 2012 . MADE tour in 2015 was bigger , over 1 500 000 tickets sold . After that the 3 gen came . Of course many artists took part and were successful in all gen , if I mention all we write a novel .
