    Hi Robert, I have to share this with you... I did a search to learn about Sizzles. I was becoming frustrated as the video results were less than helpful, until your video showed up. I'm already subscribed to you, so I'm mad at myself for not going to your channel first! Haha. I leaned so much. Thank you.

    I always liked chickens, they are so many different kinds, it's fascinating. I like how they have a mind of their own and aren't afraid to to express what they want. Are these birds just for show? Enjoy watching this!

      They are mostly for show or for pets. They do lay lots of little eggs though and the hens make excellent broodies to hatch out eggs of other breeds.

    I love this video video, thanks so much for showing us your beautiful silkies frizzles and showgirls. I think that I have learned from watching this video that my girl that I've been calling a Frizzle is actually a sizzle . I have Offspring from a Sizzle girl and a silkie rooster, is that still a sizzle? also how many generations does it take to get a showgirl ? still going to contact you soon about a showgirl. I love seeing your Bird videos keep them coming.

      If you're starting from the beginning with just a silkie and a turken, it would probably take 6 generations, at least, to get to a showgirl. Remember, a Showgirl isn't just a naked neck chicken with silkie feathers. It must also be a bantam with a crest, dark skin, turquoise earlobes, feathered feet, and five toes.

      Yes. A silkie x a sizzle will produce sizzles.

    my mom uncle daughter has two silkie chickens and I think they both are sizzles since there feathers are close together at least I think I forgot what type of feathering style they had but it was a white feathers. It was my first time seeing a silkie chicken. There feathers are on the feet not sure how many toes they got but I think its 5 and there the blue spots on the sides of the face. the two silkies where afraid when someone walks up to them but if you stand still they will get use to you. They where fun to watch and they where cute. :)

    One thing i advise is, the boys always have a wattle, so if it’s a boy with a beard that would be strange

    When he says it’s from the hatchery and he says it’s good quality no that’s not good quality that’s just the standard of a silky if you were to exhibit that or show it it would not be good quality because it’s from a hatchery

    Hello. How to get a naked neck silkie? I love them!

    • @DaybirdAviaries
      @DaybirdAviaries  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey. You have to start with one. It's a dominant mutation so get a rooster. Half of his babies from any hen will be naked necks.

    Do you know anything about the sultan breed? I thought I was buying a silkie because of the 5 toes. when it was a day or so old from the feed store here. Anyhow I am trying to figure out if it is a male or female. lol It is a beautiful bird .

    • @DaybirdAviaries
      @DaybirdAviaries  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they look a lot like a smooth feathered silkie-sizzle. They have light colored skin and red faces though. Like the silkies, you probably will need to wait until it crows or lays an egg for a positive identification.
      If you're on facebook, feel free to join my silkie group and post pictures of your sultan there. We love to see pictures. facebook.com/groups/397941780358980/
