Wow, thanks for sharing. I made this recipe today and all my family was amazed that the flavor was exactly as in a Chinese restaurant. The beef was soooo tender that it melted in our mouths. Simply delicious 😋 Thanks again!!
Love the video production. It's so relaxing to watch. Chop suey brings back memories to my childhood some odd 30+ years ago. The place in Oslo was named china town. They had red lanterns, brown interior, and pond full of red carps. At that time a bottle of Kikkoman with the red top was exotic. The Kikkoman was probably the star of 97.5 of the 100 items on their menu.
This felt like an ASMR experience while learning how to do this. And I forgot why I enjoyed this a long time ago until I reminded myself last night. And now I know that this is very versatile meaning I could do house special version which for me is chicken, shrimp, beef, and pork...but Professor, If I wanted to use eggplant for this, would it work?
Thanks, Frank. Glad that you enjoyed this recipe video. I haven’t tried it chopped suey with eggplant yet. But it will definitely taste good. You might want to cut eggplant into thin strips or slices. Then sauté it first with a drizzle of oil before combining with other ingredients and sauce.
That looks really good, thanks for sharing, stir fry’s are always quick to cook. I’m going to make this one thank you 😉

You not use bicarb to tender the beef.! Very important step in Chinese restaurant!
