We used to go to Huntington Beach back in the 80's and 90's. Always a fun time, the kids loved catching them. Don't remember what year it was, but we paid to get in and went to crab, and you were not allowed anymore. We did find a place in Garden City near Sara J's. I think it was Pine Island Rd? We haven't gone in a long time and it was always fun. We used a cage and baskets. I loved just tying a piece of chicken to a string and pulling them towards me, then have someone get the net underneath and bring them in. Thanks for this video. It brought back some great memories.
Those do sound like great memories! Thanks for sharing!
Love crabbing videos. 🦀🦀
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Great video. I've been looking a doing some blue crabbing there as well.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! :)
Great video, great job at picking those crabs. Having grown up in Maryland we have definitely picked some crabs! Let's not forget the Old Bay seasoning!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Nothing like fresh crab! :)
Very cool to see fishing from pier to kitchen. Plus I’ve never caught or prepped a crab before so that was fun and informative 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!😊
Be down your way in less than 2 weeks. Enjoyed your lesson on crab’n. Coming from N.H. I’ve steamed by fair share of lobster, rock crab, steamer clams & oysters 🦞 Crab’n will be on my list . Thanks for your info.
So glad the video was helpful and gave you something to try out on your trip! We hope you have a fantastic trip!
Loved this video. Looks fun and tasty.
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Myrtle beach is great
Yes it is!
Hey Carmen and Brian. We just got back a couple days ago from our myrtle beach trip. It was great as usual. Murrels Inlet reminded me of our dolphin tour from Crazy Sister's marina. No dolphins, but still a wonderful time.
Glad you had a great trip! We went on a dolphin tour from that area as well and we too did not see any dolphins but we enjoyed it!
@CarmenandBrian I'm sorry u didn't see any either. We tried to eat at Cackalacky after hearing u say it's a locals fave. They were closed that day and now I see they are permanently closed. I hope nothing bad happened to anyone who owns or runs it.
Fun! Loved this :)
Thank you!!😊
Hi, very nice video, that thing about fishing and catching crabs is a good distraction, good luck
Thank you!
nice video. we crab at garden city. its a pain but its good
I really enjoy it! I assume you mean the pain is the picking.😊
I've never actually tried the she crab soup, of course I hear a lot about it, also, I didn't know that the goats were gone from good Island now
Brian loves she crab soup! Yes such a bummer about the goats!
Back when the roads were still sand, we would lay on our belly with a piece of ham tied to a string to catch the crab. Then we took them to the pier and sell them to have spending money.
What a great memory!😀
So cool!
Thanks! 😊
Fish may be sea bass.not really sure
I thought of you rented a charter it was included, if not, any fishing needs a permit, fishing, crabbing, baiting, or even holding the pole with a line in the water. So be careful when you're with your kids under 16 and helping them
Like I said we're not going get into the details but if you read that link in the description from the South Carolina Department of natural resources there are exceptions with crabbing if you have three or less collapsible nets. However it is our opinion that it is safer just to have a fishing license because they are not expensive.
@CarmenandBrian wow 3? I could have storm I seen a video a few years ago and the guy had more than 10 nets maybe it wasn't blue crab tho
You can have more if you have a fishing license. I'm saying 3 or less is the limit without a license. Like I said the link in the description of the video gives all the details.
Box pufferfish
Cute but annoying when they eat your bait! :)
