My guess (yes, it is only a guess...but with over 6 decades of musical life and love behind it) is that Mademoiselle Jongerius would have been greeted warmly by Maestro Bach, he would have discreetly bowed (for he was ever the humble one), saught her hand, and politely and most sincerely have asked her to join in on his coffee house, musical soirees (with her parent's permission, of course). Purely delightful.
Its really encouraging to see and hear youngsters like Zohra with talent, yet committed to classical music. Her performance here is outstanding and goes beyond technical skills, it displays an understanding and emotion. Thanks for sharing
I can certainly say that the future generation will be in good hands when it comes to baroque music education/instruction and performance, at least in the Netherlands. Excellent and an important effort on part of the NBS!
The beautiful interiors with which you usually pair your recordings are one of the reasons I really enjoy your channel. I hope our wonderful young violinist here gets an interior more commensurate with her gift next time.
I keep watching this video. I am also working on this piece (again, after a years long hiatus) and hope to be able to play it with similar ease as in the video one day!
My favorite movement of my favorite partita, and this is a favorite recording of mine. A rendition for me to aspire to, although I'm an adult who first learned to play 🎻 in 1994! The final cord of the first section is just so tender 😭.
No vibrato, like this, is exactly as Bach wrote it. Listen to the integrity? It's not hiding poor technique behind warbly vibrato. People are going,"oh wow, she's only 13!". She plays this better than anyone else right now full stop.
@@ElbertBesaris Really? Can't tell. But I just felt it was a bit too much, the acoustics. But if it's because of the room then I don't think there's any helping it.
I agree about the unnecessary reverb. Even if it is totally natural it remains improper, and some tapestries on the wall would have made the sound of this wonderful talent even more impressive. Her violin and bow are also excellent.

Very well done! Highly recommend eliminating the echo next time. It is distracting and covers up flaws that otherwise are perfectly natural and fine in live performance.
Totally agree. And there's another All of Bach recording (with an adult) that also has way too much reverb. This needs a much drier acoustic for clarity.

Cringe
I like the way she plays this, I like her interpretation way more than other adult professional violinists!
She plays very well ! She’s only 13 this is amazing !
You can tell she loves this piece... amazing performance!
Parenting done right
@@thebestclassicals6820 chill out lol
It takes a lot more than parenting to achieve that
@@thebestclassicals6820 ...someone got triggered for no reason. surely behind a kid like this there is a lot of work by parents.

Absolutely beautiful the way you brought out the resonance of the violin Zohra! You are going places and I look forward to hearing more from you.
There is hope for the future of Baroque music performance! Very well done!

What a beautiful, mature performance! Thank you so much!
This gives me so much hope for period instruments.
My parents are listening to this in heaven. And weeping.
this performance has my utmost respect for younger generation
Well done, Miss Jongerius! Played with a care for the structure and phrasing of Bach's Allemanda. Hope to see more performances from this young lady!
So nice fabulous way of playing Bach
Brava! Lovely playing - thank you so much!
I would say that she probably learned it from Sato, they have a very similar interpretation of the piece. Amazing!

Very beautiful and with great instrumental mastery performed.
Beautiful to watch and hear.
Quelle belle sonorité dans les graves et quelle justesse !
This is an exceptionally esthetic interpretation. Makes me really awaiting every note!! Thank you Zohra!!

Utterly fabulous. Good on you.
She’s great! 👏👏👏👏👏
A highly convincing interpretation!

Ah, cela me rappelle mes premières fois sur un violon baroque, où "je rentrais à fond dans la corde" ! Néanmoins, Zohra semble déjà très à l'aise...
Heavenly
WONDERFUL VIDEO !!!THANK YOU !!!
Bravo!♡
Great job. Well done.

It is surprising that a thirteen-year old girl has established her own interpretation of JSB's music.
I'm freaking 16 and I can't do it yet so yeah, very impressive
@@seven-teabags Since you are still in your teens, you can do it one day if you concentrate.
@@VERITS99 aww thanks for the motivation
@@seven-teabags You are welcome.
Does she play on a C#m Scale? Or am I wrong.... is it a problem of Tune or did she just Transposed it
She plays in baroque tuning, which means in this case that A = 415 Hz (approx. a semitone lower than modern tuning).
@@bach Wow thanks a lot for this great Information 🙏🙏🙏
great!! 🙂

This is the perfect video if I want to crush my self-esteem. Is it even legal to be such a great interpreter at that age?

Respekt! 😎👍
Perfect poise and profile for Bach .. :D
Sounds cool, I just wish that reverb effect was not added to it so I could listen to the clear sound of the violin more.
Probably just the room acoustics, so therefore not 'added'. The piece was recorded in what is basically a large industrial hall.
@@ElbertBesaris Really? Can't tell. But I just felt it was a bit too much, the acoustics. But if it's because of the room then I don't think there's any helping it.
Elbert Besaris is right. No effects were added, you only hear the acoustics of this big hall (which used to be a power station).
