- “The Lark” is a rare, not very well known song that I think is very beautiful. It was one of the most popular Russian songs of the Romantic era, composed by the founder of the Russian nationalist school, Mikhail Glinka. Mili Balakirev used this simple air as the basis for this complex piano piece. Most people who hear it think it is more beautiful than the original song. This is the 4th song I have played recently with a bird theme.

Nice balance between your left and right hand. You've made significant improvement in this. Did you get some coaching?
@@stevenchacala Nice???? The left hand bashes as if it is a solid plank of wood , in total absence of technique of sound production. Pedal adds to the mess. Right hand shows how much talent there is and how little training this talent had.
Leander, this is HOW you need to play this: th-cam.com/video/w13N6sUY4K0/w-d-xo.html Михаил Плетнев «Жаворонок» М. ГЛИНКА - М. БАЛАКИРЕВ. You are worth it, please don't settle for bad.
I like your bird theme! ❤
@@MishaSkripachwhy can’t you be positive with this young man. Your comments are brutal. This 74 year woman wishes you wouldn’t.

Your fingers and hands were flying (like birds’ wings) over those keys 🥰.
Wow, that was mesmerizingly beautiful, Leander. 😊
Another birdsong, yay!! 👏👏👏Absolutely gorgeous. And WOW! you played this SPECTACULARLY. 👏👏👏The speed and difficulty of those arpeggios is mind boggling, and moving almost into jazz. Very cool. I hear not just the Lark throughout, but so many birds, like the cacaphony of a Spring morning. Bravo! Thank you, dear Leander. I learn so much about music and composers from you. I'm listening to this before I turn the light off and fluff my pillow. I will enjoy your wonderful playing as the tune lingers and wafts through the windmills of my mind, lulling me to sleep. Als "ernsthafter auch Musiker" habe ich mir deine Musik "ohne Optik" abermals angehört und konnte noch Tieferes, schwer mit Worten zu Beschreibendes von Grund auf Positives bei dir und durch dich erkennen. Abermals Danke

How fast can you learn and memorize a song? Pretty amazing you can play without sheet music
Thank you! This is beautiful! Also, it's phenominal this young boy plays with feeling and so well.
Does he learn by seeong/reading music? Or by ear, imitating what he hears? Amazing.
(So sorry about the stress of fires, evacuation.)
Nice one Leander.
That was very beautiful!
Soooo beautiful Leander! I’m in joyful tears 💜
👍 Un morceau très spécial avec une jolie mélodie 🤗 mais qui nécessite aussi une belle agilité des doigts 😁 🥰❤️
Very masterfully played. Beautiful.
Your 4th song with a bird theme? I think you are getting us all in the mood for spring!
The lark by Glinka is not about the bird theme. It is about love.
The Lark song today is beautiful! Much different from the Crow piece you played last time. Very well done, sir!😊

Inspiring Leander. Hello from Alberta, Canada
You get better by the second. Well done!
Leander, you are a rare and exceptional talent on the Earth. You are a truly born prodigy.
I play the piano too, while being nearly 70 years of age, but not as much these days, given my back was damaged by disease 31 years ago. I asked my parents for a piano and lessons when I was 5 years old, with a drive and passion to play. I'm sure you can understand what I'm saying, given your own passion to play shows easy enough with the videos you are releasing on TH-cam. Like you, I learn fast too.
I would like to suggest, even as fast as you learn, pay attention to the dynamics of each piano piece you read and memorize. Remember, playing musical phrases is like a brush stroke to a skilled master artistic painter when playing classical music. Remember, you are painting, while you play before your audience, while you bring the blend of movements on the piano together as colors for the ear to hear, as though the ears were eyes to see color with when you play. Give that some thought. Study the dynamics of each piece. Pay attention to the areas when you can express and rest as you express the musical phrasing. In musical terms, dynamics in music help communicate how the piece is to be emotionally played. Remember, everyone is hearing you from their heart, not their head when you play. I hope this suggestion gives you food for thought and helps you with your playing, as you are growing and learning. Don't feel like you are in a rush to move through a piece in other words. Pauses are important, but only in the right places.
If you have not discovered him yet on TH-cam, another exceptional boy prodigy, who looks about your age right now, has been showing his ability and talents off to the world these past 5 years on TH-cam. He is extremely humble too in his brilliance. So are you, which is why I thought of this other boy, while directing you toward him. Watch and study him. He only plays in public places, where there are pianos in Japan where they have street pianos. His name is Puni.

He is someone to watch and learn from also, concerning his musical phrasing. I think you would enjoy watching him play. Also, as you improve more and more, keep that smile going like you do to your audience. It is powerful!!!
Remember, at your current age, you send joy into each heart that watches your face when you blast that smile toward the camera. You remind people of the joy they may have once had at your age, but no longer have, because of all the troubles life has brought them in their individual life journeys, as they have aged. :-)
You touch the inner child in all of us who are older and not just at my age, but a lot younger. Such is the greatness of the gift God gave you son.
Remember the job of any entertainer is to lift people up when they meet you or hear you play. To date, you do that remarkably well. Stay with it son and you will bless many with your life's presence on the Earth....forever! 🙂
That. Was. Awesome. I’m going to listen to it again… ❤
Played with feeling and even tempo, Bravo
Beautiful!
Wow, that was great! Thank you.
Nature Island-Negation! The child can absolutely do it!
this is more of a romantic piece, and he seems to have a flair for it!
That is a difficult piece to play! You mastered it ❤
You're getting better every day, great job :)
Beautiful piece, thank you!
Wow such talent on a seemingly difficult piece!
Splendidly done, Leander 👍
I see you finally got the one key fixed that is good God bless you and your playing. fred s.
How do you do this without even having any music in front of you? You are a musical genius I think. This seems like it might be one of the most complex pieces ever written, I so enjoyed not only listening, but watching you play!
I also have an island negation! I am an Asperger autistic!
Absolutely beautiful
