    “Pick away at it and try not to be overwhelmed….”that’s how I feel on my property
    Love my little tank Kubota too. Champion on brother.

    I have a super duty and dump- BX and a grapple, yeah you had some nice bitefuls with the grapple pretty amazing huh? You have some nice property there. Great finding your channel. Steve

    I hear you on the BX sweet spot. I have 6 acres of very well maintained land which the former owners spent a lot of time making sure it was looking beautiful. My summers are full of landscaping work and the BX is invaluable. I often think if I should have gotten the B2301 instead, but at the end of the day the BX works really well and my wanting to get a bigger tractor may be simply about looks as opposed to practicality. I guess with the lower weight I will have less soil compaction on my property.

    Nice work. It's like the old question, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."

    You got the right idea just take it one project at a time. The property already looks 10X better. Thanks for the video😁👍

      Thank you!!! Once I get it under control, the maintenance will be SO much easier 👍 The Kubota has never worked harder 😁

    One job at a time is how I have to do things, but my bx is a life saver for me! Have fun and see ya on Wednesday!

    We have a Kubota BX and use it all the time. We also have a chipper shredder and make our own mulch for all kinds of uses around our property. I dug out a 4 x 4 x 2 feet deep burn pit (wish I made it a little larger now) and lined it with scrap stone. So mostly what gets burned is scrap wood that doesn't serve well for fire wood and also is to big for chipper shredder....

      They really are the Swiss Army Knife of tractors! I don't have a chipper but a burn pit is a must. I'm using an old silo to burn in right now.

    Did you install a grill guard on that BX? When you got so close to that pile I was worried those branches would do some damage to your grill. I hear it happens a lot. 😮

      I have the factory "grill guard". It is definitely lacking. I'm not a welder (yet) but it would be a good idea to add some wire mesh to it. I have had a very small stick poke my grill. No serious damage.

    I'd love to have a grapple for my BX, but I don't have the 3rd function kit so that ended that idea really quick LOL. With the issues I had with my dealer just trying to get them to get my mower deck I'm not going to deal with them trying to get a 3rd function kit added, and from what I saw when I was at the dealer the pricing for it is in the $2k range to have it added, and I'd be without my tractor most likely for several months. For that I can do what I've been doing for 34 years, pickup the branches and carry them to the burn pile myself LOL.
    I shouldn't have listened to the salesman, I should have had the 3rd function and rear remote kits added when I ordered the machine. NEVER listen to a salesman when they tell you you don't need that stuff. Finding things out the hard way now. That sometimes salesmen don't have much of a clue. I should have future proofed my purchase, and I didn't, so now I'm facing the reality of not having the ability to use a lot of attachments and implements. A hydraulic top link would be useful quite frequently for my box blade and tiller, and the 3rd function could be useful for a grapple, and a lot of other things too.

      That grapple is almost the most useful attachment I've bought. 1st place goes to my pallet forks.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@samsdoinstuff I use my pallet forks more than the bucket here lately it seems.
      Wish I would have thought things through better before purchasing my tractor so I could have ordered the grapple, 3rd function, and rear remotes...no way I can afford to do all that now.

      Look at summits diverter kit for the bx, I put it on mine and love it. It was about $600

    If you think it's wet now, wait until next spring! Prioritize cleaning the low areas now while you can still get to them.

      There's a spot where the open drainage along the road empties into our property. Not sure if it's "by design" or what, but it fills the detention pond and empties through a 15" concrete culvert 🤔

    • @johnathaneaston7976
      @johnathaneaston7976 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samsdoinstuff I'll have to take a look at that when I'm over there. Any drainage or other easements on your deed?
