There isn't a single modern pizza place that treats cheese like a topping. It is the default. You can ask to have it removed, and you can ask for them to add extra, but the default modern pizza has cheese.

(because you can also get white pizza without tomato sauce, but not without the bread) For the sub question I think it's a trick question, I'd never marry a sub, because I'm not into domination.
Cheese definitely the default for pizza. While you can ask for no cheese technically all pizza comes with cheese. I have never seen a frozen pizza with no cheese on it. If you really want to get technical bread would be the default because that's all that would be left if you removed the sauce aswell.

YES some pizza's exist without cheese, but those are specific pizzas. Traditionally.. atleast where I live Cheese is 100% default on "normal" pizzas. Also Nagzz is short.
it depends on the country, a lot of pizza places in Australia wont charge extra for a just cheese compared to a pepperoni or even a meatlovers. though you could also just say what other countries do with their pizza prices doesn't matter.
I literally saved a turtle today at work at Walmart lol it walked over a block through the parking lot to the furthest front doors and got a crowd telling me about it, grabbed a box cornered it and it climbed in had someone drop it off back at the pond, like ten other associates came out to watch lol.
It was a pretty big turtle had to be old, almost the width of a basketball about 2 inches smaller. Had red stripes on it was pretty cool and fast lol went to get a box and it made it around the corner of the store under flower pots.

What we generally think of as pizza goes back to 19th-century Naples. Tomatoes had been available in Europe for hundreds of years at that point.
Cheese on pizza is the default, but not a necessity, have definitely seen "No cheese" listed among toppings
