If you want too pick this project up again I'd suggest cutting up the gearbox housing just enough so you can strap down a 370 or 390 size motor onto the location of the original motor with zipties and fitting pinion gear that's fairly wide & the right gear pitch. (Willing too bet its either a mod 1 or 48p pitch as it's easy too mold gears without much cleaning off the plastics or molds much & is dirt cheap.) Run a small 2s lipo & hobby grade electronics in this & reinforce the suspension mounting top & bottom, maybe adding a bit of shrink wrap on the spring shafts so it isn't bottoming out completely every time it goes over a bump and bounces around could help with handling slightly. Otherwise I'd perhaps add on a gearbox from another toy grade rc car that has fitment for a larger motor, worth checking ebay or similar after some used older full function nikko, tyco, taiyo and similar that has suspension all the way around, like say a nikko frame buggy which shares the design with the radio shack golden arrow.

I recently bought the Adventure Force Blaze Buggy 1/10 scale a month ago. its runs great.
I love though it lacks power once it speeds up it is somewhat fast
New Bright is only great at making Rc shells !

i got the fast and furious truck from walmart its kinda fast and got decent supension and hits wheelies
