I’m late to the party and just picked up a GT-1 and am loving it. I have noticed in a few comments, well my guitar is a Gibson and I use hum buckers etc. I think what most are missing here is the lesson of how to set up a patch that suits YOU. Understand and learn to create your own patches for your needs. Well done on all your tutorials and Thank You. 🙏
The GT-1 sounded quieter in a lot of the demos making the GT1KC seem like it sounded better and more full. I think most of the difference was just the volume though. Thanks for the comparison.
I noticed that as well... It's because of the USB setting between the two units... I had probably set the GT-1000Core a little too "hot"... Both units are great, I've shown that in several separate videos, so I still hope the viewers will be able to get something out of this. Thanks for your comment, and for watching! Have a great weekend.
@@GuitarNTabs Agreed on the volume. Sounds are both comparable. I have both of these and believe it or not the gt1 is far more practical. It has an expression pedal, battery powered, it has an aux in for backing tracks/practice, and its not 500 bucks. its portable and fits in my guitar case. It also, works well as the interface for recording. Very easy to use. Best 199.00 I have spent on music equipment. Sold the gt1000 for same price I paid. As technology becomes better, so will the pricing. Win win
I use a GT1 with the internal cabs turned off. I feed the output into an IR pedal and use it like this for both gigs and recording. Sounds as good as the GT1000 using it like this……
Hi, I'd like to know if you can assign a different IR of the Fc07 to each patch of the gt 1. Example: on patch 1 you have a 4x12 cab and on patch 2 a 1x8 cab. And store it in the Gt 1 so you don't have to change cabs manually in th Fc07. Is that possible?
Hey buddy! I hope you are well? This week, we move house and I move into a separate premises for Fret Friend. Everything seems to be going well. Thanks always for all of your support :D Victor...

I personally can’t hear the major difference we might expect for the price difference . As you know I have the GT1 and very happy for the level I’m at I play out solo and with a band GT1 does everything I need I don’t think I could warrant the price for the GT1000 core. Boss aren’t keeping the GT1 going for so long and for no reason . It can hold its own .
very cool comparison - I have used GT1 for years and was considering GT1000 Core... from this demo, I may not continue this pursuit, as the GT1 sounded better in every instance IMO - of course play feel is an intangible that you cannot observe in a video. but the GT1 recorded sounds were more convincing to my ear, and the GT1000 tones were less natural sounding. Note that I am a Kemper user, and neither of these items operate at that level, but the GT1 is the perfect fly rig/grab'n'go unit...
Hi there, Nagesh. Thank you, and nice to hear from you too - I hope you're well. The GT-100 and GT-1 are basically the same, except a few features, like the dual signal paths and preamp chains, effects loop, but other than that the GT-100 and GT-1 are pretty much identical. The biggest thing to set the GT-1000Core apart from the GT-100/GT-1 is the AIRD preamps. They are so natural sounding and responsive. I'm really impressed with them. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers.
Hello Angel. Thanks for your comment and question. They are, yes. All effects and preamp models used are stock. The GT-1 is a really great piece of gear, and its preamp and cabinet models are superb - it's a real bargain! I'm so happy with my GT-1! The preamp and cabinet models of the GT-1000Core is even better, and the AIRD technology is really doing a great job of making the preamps feel "real". I was really impressed with them. The preamp models I used is listed in the description and I was all connected via USB and recorded in Cubase. Let me know if you need anything else. Have a great day.
@@GuitarNTabs H1! Thank you for following up! On the Boss GT-1, can I store a preset on the effects pedals? In other words, can I assign a preset to FX1 let's says so that if I am playing a song like More Than A Feeling by Boston they have an overdrive part and then a part where I can turn off the overdrive and then the Chorus kicks in.
@@AngelMartinez-qs3cf - Hi again! Sure, that's indeed possible, by using the GT-1's CTL pedal(s) and the Assigns. You would start by setting up the first part of the song, the clean sound with some chorus, etc. Then, for later when the overdriven part starts, you would set up Assigns to for example turn off the Chorus, and at the same time turn on an overdrive pedal, etc. It's all a matter of laying it out, and setting it up. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Best regards.
Nice comparison. Have Boss -gt1 and strymon iridium now in my rig, but thinking to purchase gt1kcore. Maybe u know, is it possible to setup gt1 to midi control gt1core, if it would be possible it will be mega compact way to have realy usable setup

As far as I know, that's not an options, sorry... It sure would be a compact and easy setup, but maybe some other dedicated MIDI pedal can do the trick? Best regards Cheers.
Yep, that's it. GT-1 uses shitty cab simulation for cabs like 1x10, 1x12, 4x10 and etc. Looks like it's not impulses but dumb equalization. Matched cabinets (Origin) sounds way better, but unfortunately you can't use them separately from their amps. The only way is to use external cabsim pedal or DAW plugin.
