I would add that I recomend smelling the wine and that if it smell good then it is a positive sign that you will enjoy said wine, Pairing wines with movies is an awesome idea. I have spoken regularly that I like to pair wines with books (eg Lord of the rings with Bordeaux or Agatha Christie with Burgundy) so pairing with movies makes total sense. Keep up the enjoying of wine and things, be they movies or books or whatever, with wine.
"Bring me my pendulum, kitties. I feel like swinging."
Vincent Price just enjoyed acting and working, and his energy is infectious ❤
This was a fantastic episode. All the laughs were earned especially the dramatic pause on the illusionist. Was hoping you were gonna pick The Maltese Falcon, but The Lonely Place was great.
The cut of you dancing to the MUSIC MAN intro was GOLD
Patrick, this is an All-Timer! John Krasinski would never have made it through bottle #2.
I loved this video. Patrick, your latest stuff is great. I used to be all about your Blue Flame Specials or Patrick Explains, but your quarantine stuff is top notch.
Your comedy is kicking ass in all your latest stuff, the Mamma Mia episode and this one had me laughing hard.
Keep up the amazing work, but also don't go insane.
That George Bailey bit during the end credits was by far one of the funniest throw away gags I've heard in a while. This whole video made me laugh out loud several times but that one really got me!
This may be one of the funniest videos PHW has ever made. Loved it. (Also I may be signing up for the TCM Wine Club soon).
SHOCKED to hear that Patrick had never heard of Crossing Delancey but then I realized that I've heard of it because it's an inexplicable favorite in books aimed at teen and preteen girls as one of a character's favorite movies to show that she's mature and sophisticated (books published in the ~5 years after the movie's initial release) or an Old Soul Romantic (books published from ~2000 on)
been watching your vids for a while and this format is by far my fav
You have topped yourself with this. A series within an episode. TCM may not have expected a program like this so the selection is as good as random. And you conquered it. Observing, as usual, with great points for each unique film and the overall marathon. We missed you.
And, let's talk about DaPalma.
Yus!!! More Gaeilge!! :D iontach!!
Mr Willems is a total boss and absolutely nailed his lines.
This is a great all-timer video with lots of rewatchability. I loved the musical cue everytime another bottle was uncorked! I may consider subscribing to this wine club...
Pat shaking his head at the news and nodding at Paddington has been my 2020 mood
"The Music Man" is awesome. Now imagine you saw it as a kid a couple times, it's a fun picture kids actually like (adults being tricked, but as a child viewer you know it's a trick, so you feel smart and fun songs; kid magic), and then watch "The Last Starfighter".
