      Unfortunately I bought it without looking at any reviews, which is unsual for me as I tend to watch everything before buying something. But I guess Ill just use it wired.

      At least you didn't buy it thinking it is wireless like it says on the box.
      That's frustrating, I wish I saw this video earlier.

    Excellent review. MS recently announced that they're completely changing how their Xbox peripheral licensing works, and while this will possibly affect many current unlicensed 3rd-party controllers, there *is* an upside: they said that from now on they are going to allow wireless connectivity on 3rd-party controllers which meet the licensing requirements.
    Currently only 3rd-party headsets are allowed to include the propietary Xbox security chip and radio frequency that MS mandates, while other 3rd-party peripherals are left in the cold (for reasons that only MS knows). However, the change has already started. The new PowerA MOGA XP controller is the first officially-licensed Xbox controller with actual wireless capability on both PC and console.
    Hopefully this means future Xbox controllers are truly wireless, as this would create a huge change-up in the current 3rd-party controller space.

      Thanks! Yep I heard about this. Thanks for sharing the additional details. I think the names of Scuf, Battle Beaver, etc. will continue to be fine if they continue using standard Xbox controllers at the heart of their controllers. But if they were looking to truly innovate, they might be halted on the Xbox front. We will see what MS does 🤞🏾

    Just ordered one today. I am a PC user. Mainly getting this for Forza Horizon but I am very happy with Asus peripherals (K&M) My ASUS ROG Azoth 75% has the OLED and it has been very useful, I have it set to display GPU/CPU temps and usage and I can't imagine my gaming without it now. The Asus ROG Keris Wireless AimPoint mouse has been consistent buttery smooth. I don't think this controller is top tier level based off price point alone, but I think it will be sufficient for my needs. Thank you for the close ups and details. Side note, if you are a Asus Aura Sync fan, this controller WILL NOT work with Armory Crate Aura Sync from what I have researched thus far. Not a deal breaker but kind of a bummer. Maybe a later released firmware update...?

    You can change the settings on the ‘front buttons’ in settings right? In controller settings? The back buttons are the only ones u cant do on ur xbox but the front ones u can right?

    • @lbs

      Controller settings in the Armoury Crate app? Nope. Only the back buttons can be remapped. Maybe they update the app in the future to allow this though.

    I’m thinking about getting this or a scuf envision or a dualsense edge. Might be the dualsense edge for the input lag latency being under 1ms. What about this controller, any idea?

    • @lbs
      @lbs  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! Didn’t test this myself but have seen it tested at ~4ms wired and ~8ms w the dongle. Not sure on the envision (need to test myself). I love the edge, which I’ll review soon. But it only has 2 back paddles if that is an issue for you

  • @Sportek24
    @Sportek24 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    The issue with this controller is that you have to remove the dongle to use your standar xbox controller for pc

    • @lbs

      Are you saying you're trying to use both controllers at the same time? What is that use case?

    • @Sportek24
      @Sportek24 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@lbs no, the issue is that when you Raikiri pro runs out of battery you normally turn off the controller then use another controller but not the case with the raikiri you need to complete remove the RF receiver so you can use another xbix controller

    • @lbs
      @lbs  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great feedback. I appreciate you! I'll make note to make this part of my reviews going forward as I don't feel you're the only 1 wanted this, I just think you're 1 of the few to say it. And because you did...The feel of these buttons & stick are identical to the standard controller in my opinion. The front buttons are kind of in the middle of a membrane and mechanical feel, with the membrane feel being 70% of the press. The sticks rotate smoothly & textured grip around the rim of the rubber thumb base. I had no issues moving the sticks or placing Kontrol Freak caps on them. The dpad, back buttons, triggers & bumpers feel standard w/ more of a mechanical click as well. Let me know if there's anything else you're wondering about!

      If you plan on using the back buttons, es2 is better in my opinion. If you just want to avoid stick drift ROG is better, but there are cheaper Hall effect controller options. Also the be wolverines v3 looks to both of these. I’m going to be reviewing that next to give my personal opinion on that. Maybe wait or look into that 1 as well.
