There are highlighters made specifically for bibles, that are more similar to a soft crayon, or an oil pastel. I saw them at Barnes and noble, but I'm sure you can get them at your local craft store, too.
Yay for the creamy texture highlighters, I have never heard this brand before. I also liked the color palette of your Zebra pens, which is also an unknown brand to me! Thank you for the pen review it is truly helpful with all those varieties of pens and shops out there! 👍🏻🖋😃👏🏻
I have not seen those Marvy brush pens before. I have a set of the Le Plume II ones, and I don't love them because they are VERY stiff and kind of hard to work with. I prefer a softer brush tip; I might have to try the Colorin ones!

I'd love a more in depth review of the Archer+Olive Journals please! I too love watercolor lettering and would LOVE to know more about the great paper you mention it has! Oh and the Creative Devotional brand is from American Crafts. It's part of their Bible Journaling line. I picked up their black brush pen at my local TJ Maxx and LOVE it. The tip is firm like a Tombow, bounces back, no fraying and super juicy! The best part was the price...$1.99!!!
Have you tried the STAEDTLER marsgraphic 3000 duo? They are super bouncy and very fun to use. Also the colors are so vibrant and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend a pack if you haven't tried them.i love markers and pens as well and I know you won't be disappointed. They are well made and their nibs hold up and maintain their shape. I love you! Your videos really help m with my hand lettering! I have a quick question...What should I do if my tombows are fraying? How do I still use them? because it’s really hard to do up strokes when your brushes are fraying.

I've never really heard of a way to fix them once that happens, but when they do get frayed then I don't mind using them on textured paper like watercolor paper! Then you can do some of the blending techniques that I showed in this video! I've also wanted to test out trying to use them to create liquid watercolors, but I haven't tried it yet! I will for sure update if that works though! Thanks for watching!
I’m a beginner, how do you know when buying journals what paper will be ok to use with brush pens so they don’t fray? I’d rather have a notebook/ journal to practice lettering rather than using separate sheets of marker/ hp laserjet paper

Does that A&O journal have light gray dots that show through your markers? I thought the koi markers might have glitter or bubbles, but then you got to the Handmade ones and that black looks glittery as well. (apologies if you addressed it in the video! i'm watching without sound.)

When you use markers for stamping you need to huff on them to get moisture. Marvy markers is used a lot to stamp with. I haven’t done this (markets for stamping)in years tho so can’t vouch for them.

How do you get such thin upstrokes? Even with flexible tips?? I prefer the harder ones ( I'm a beginner ) because they are easy to use... is it the pen I use? I can't get mine that thin😂 but also for some reason the tip of mine is fuzzy and not pointy....
Jadyn Horne as a beginner too, I can definitely say that the thin upstrokes are incredibly hard for me too. Lately I’ve been really happy with just a simple Crayola market (the thick tip one) because it’s so easy to control. What helps me the most is finding an angle that automatically gives me a thin upstroke, and then just pushing harder for the downstroke. That might have been absolutely useless, but I hope at least some of that made sense!
The prices probably differ depending on the merchant and quoting a price in a video is risky because prices fluctuate with time also and you might set yourself up to look like a liar.
I love your videos so much, but just some constructive criticism...would you adjust the white balance? Or maybe the brightness. It’s very bright, so it’s a little hard to see.
Thanks so much for the comment! Just for my own research - are you using a phone or computer? That helps to know :) When I edit/watch the videos on my computer they aren't super bright, but I do keep my screen brightness at about half just to average what other people might do! That being said, it is super hard to film these types of videos where I swatch entire color sets because yellows/greens tend to wash out really badly and it's pretty hard to see them. Which is one big reason I like to film tutorials with 1 color or just black :) Thanks for watching!

I love the Mildliners so much! They're not good for my Bible, but I have so many highlighters it's okay. 😂

If you use your markers on stamps, huff on them after you colour the stamp to redamp the ink. Than they work better.

On the date stamp, when using a marker “huff” on it before stamping. The moist air reactivates the ink.
