Dirt Bike Magazine tests the 2025 Honda CRF450R in Indiana at Ironman Raceway. The 2025 model has a host of new features including new linkage and a more rigid frame. Already a better more realistic review than mxa put out, in my opinion. I like hearing stuff like that's not what we would have done, almost challenging the engineers rather than praising every minimal change they did do. Still feels like these reviews are done while the checkbook is still open nomatter where you go though

Thank you for that. Mark and our staff try to be real. 1st day is always hard especially when the track is groomed different and doesn't get very rough. When we get this thing in our hands full time....then we really get to see whats behind the curtains. It will show us more of the positives and negatives ....and we can bring other bikes to compare

DB has always been more about the weekend riders, and the ones that want a bike that's capable of doing MX, GNCC, desert riding, etc. When I want to know about specifically MX, I go to MXA because that's what they do.
DB's testers (like Mark Tilley) test just about everything that has two wheels, a motor, and knobbies, so I think that they're more in tune with the average weekend rider that needs a bike for more than just the MX track.

Any novice can now get on this bike and compete with experts. In reality, I bike from 2010 is more bike than 95% of riders could ever use. But the media hypes anything new.
