From everything I’ve read/watched, and my own personal experience, you should not use the inks that come with the printer. You should use the sublimation inks only. The other thing I discovered is that shaking the inks causes bubbles which can get trapped in the tubes. This can cause the broken lines during the nozzle check. I shook mine and that’s what happened. I found that letting the printer sit for a couple of days and then running another cleaning and nozzle check cleared up the problem. So glad you got your printer working, such a relief.
The 2 types of ink that are normally used for inkjet printers are dye based and pigment based. If you refill a pigment ink cartridge with dye ink they will bubble and get thick with blobs of ink and it immediately clogs the inkjets.

Everyone I have watched puts the original cartridges in first, I forgot when setting up my first printer and went straight to sublimation but it worked still works to this day lol

Hmm... those plastic/rubber plugs is what I pulled out to fill the ink cartridges and I replaced them back on right after filling the cart hmmm thought that's what I was supposed to do. My ink last forever it all depends on how much you print. I paid $23 for my ink years ago and im still using it :) thanks for video.
You can run cleanings if your printer has a maintenance tank as that will catch the extra ink. If it does not then don’t run excess printing.
I've had limited success with epson printer they keep clogging up! I'm a little scared of cleaning them as I just got a new one & they clogg right away! Can I sen my designs out to someone instead of buying another printer & they can do printing?? Like you videos! Thanks

Hello and thank you so much. To be honest I had to search which video could be converted basically any printer that has the same type of ink cartridge system. The model printer or ones like mines are hard to come by now.

I use the same cartridges just refill the ink.

you cannot cause it doesnt have the correct print head! I have that exact one and did a ton of research!

Whenever you convert its a risk you take bit mines has never given me any issues since I converted it

Machine tools? I didn’t use any tools. You just need empty cartridges and the syringe

It should have another seller. Just search empty refill cartridges to see if any comes up. There was a ton when I bought mines.

I thought you was supposed to mix the ink I been watching other videos and they all said not to run the inkjet ink through if your converting it to a sublimation does it matter or not
No one mixes the ink. You don’t use the inkjet at all if you’re using it for sublimation. You will mess up the printer.
Did you have any issues whit the colors? Do we need an ICC profile for this one?
I have never had color issues. It's perfect or me. People ask all the time what do I do to my colors and I say nothing

I don’t have that printer. Any eco tank you can convert as long as you have never put any other ink it first. You can only start with sublimation ink time you get the printer.

I need help Im having the same problem with wf3640 .. I did a lot of head cleans..
Make sure you do the nozzle checks as well. It took me a while but I finally got it. Perhaps take the needle and push air through the top of the cartridge hole. That helps the ink to flow as well.
Me again. Are the sublimation color's the exact same as the original color's that came with the printer & win ordering the sublimation color's will they cum with new cartridges or do I just wash out the original cartridges that came with the printer? Thank u.
When you order sublimation ink it only comes with the needles you have to order cartridges separately

@@shatinahouston9566 right now I’m just using my iPhone actually. I had a Sony camera I was using but returned it. I have another Sony for mirrorless camera but i only use it for photography. it’s just so much easier for me to use my phone and transfer to my tablet to edit and upload. My iPhone 12 is great video quality. Start with what you have.

My kids were using their iPhone 6 at 1st then transfer it to their Samsung galaxy tablets & we even use 4 (18inch) ring lights but for sum reason their video quality is just not gud. They have iPhone 11 now so hopefully the video quality will be better. Thanks for the info. I've been up all nite trying to order my heat press 15x15 & the silhouette cameo 15inch machine from HPN but of course they don't have it & I really don't want the 12inch. They have the white heat press but I really would like 2 order them together so hopefully it cuts in soon. Thanks 4 taking time 2 respond to me several times & I'm looking forward to your next video.

Not any no. Do your research. I have to watch many videos to learn which ones could be sublimated.
Did you ever do the follow up video to push the air out? I have the same printer and my lines continue to come out broken and when sublimating the colors are distorted or come out as different colors 😭 I’ve done nozzle checks and cleanings 🤦🏽♀️ mama is tired 😪
I feel you I never made a follow up video but I have to play with my ink as well. I can make a quick video to demonstrate pushing the air through.

ecotank does not use cartridges....just refill the ink with syringe
I thought you leave the air holes open?
My air holes are open. You still have to close the cartridge so the ink doesn’t spill out. I did this video awhile ago so I can’t remember what you’re referring to.
