Back to Basics: Balloon Kiss/Smash 003

Thank you for joining me on my 003 video of the “Back to Basics” series. Today I did a balloon kiss/smash. It is a technique I have not done in awhile, but it’s a fun technique to do.
So, contrary to popular belief; not every technique needs a base coat. However, the balloon technique DOES need a thin base coat of your choice (1:2 ratio). Paint is also a 1:2 ratio and my medium is typically Liquitex.
The canvas was a 12x24” from a pro pack from Michael’s. As I stated in the video, most of the bottles were not marked because all but 2 are from when I began my painting journey (about 5 years ago). I now only use ​bottles from LoliVefe and Fluid-Art Co., and they are all labeled.
