What Happened To Doctor Who's Madame Kovarian

Madame Kovarian was a character who was seen alongside the Silience trying to end the Doctors life. They appeared throughout Series 6, succeeding almost in killing the Doctor. In demons run they took Amy ponds daughter River song and trained her to take down the Doctor but last we saw from Kovarain was in the wedding of River song in an alternate split reality where amy pond ended kovarains life. But what happened in the actual reality? Let's find out!

I know this is a very hot take. But series 6 is my all time favorite season. My favoriteTARDIS team in 11, Amy, and Rory. The absolute best well written story arc of The Doctor dying in Lake Silencio and finding out more about River. Some top notch episodes like the best series opener with Impossible Astronaut two parter, Doctor's Wife, Good man goes to war, Lets Kill Hitler. Even the severely underrated Almost People two parter. I remember when I first saw it and the plot twist of Amy being ganger made my jaw drop. Its so well done.

Is it a hot take? It's my favorite series too.
I also think Clara is the best companion, with the best character arc (the whole "becoming like the Doctor until it kills her" arc, not the impossible girl arc), so maybe I'm not a good example!

I assumed The Silence killed Madame Kovarian because she failed them and it's likely The Silence erased both versions of Madame Kovarian from both versions of reality.

It would be a neat detail if we saw young Kovarian in 7 season's finale and then after episode continues we hear mentioning that something happened to her

She was with the Silence though...She had the damn aliens in tanks dude. She wasnt with the Church in the following season because her group was a splinter group who all needed to die for the story to properly progress.

So what basically happens is that in Time of The Doctor Tasha Lem’s Church of the Papal Mainframe becomes The Church of The Silence which tried to broker a kind of peace during the siege of Trenzalore so The Doctor wouldn’t bring the Time Lords back.
But Tasha says Kovarian broke away from the rest of the church and formed her own splinter group, travelled back along The Doctors timeline to stop him ever reaching Trenzalore in the first place. First by blowing up the tardis in the Pandorica opens then by raising river to kill him by Lake Silencio

It wasn't that Moffat didn't think to continue it, he saw a mixed reception to Series 6 and decided not to follow up on her and nudge the whole arc to the side until the end of 11s era. Much like the New Paradigm Daleks being despised and then practically never brought back and even when they were it was smaller and with a new paint job.

“Series 6 is great” - yeah, they never resolved the main villain from the series… go figure!
Don’t get me wrong, I love series 6, it’s an enjoyable watch, but the glaring plot holes do tarnish its reputation and rightly so…
Great video! I agree that the series 6 plot should have been resolved in series 7 - at least in S7 part 1 - since S7 part 1 didn’t exactly have much of a plot arc
