Konica Minolta 1070, Setting up Paper Catalog, Auto Restart, Showing Consumable Life Cycle

  • Was a good first week. Konica c1070 ran all week. Changing the settings on the 1070 to show consumable details. Automatic Restart of Paper after reloading tray. Cleaned the laser on the 1200. Toner was building up on the one side and lowering the laser intensity. That charged the drum less and caused less toner to transfer to the paper.

    Just found your channel. I like the content. I work for a company that manufactures Index tabs. I do the printing on a old school Halm super jet envelope press that we have converted a little bit to run just regular stock paper we use for the index tabs. 90% of my printing is Black ink and very little body copy is definitely an art form envy guys with the modern digital presses so much easier. but it definitely puts out a better quality product and old school printers a lot more versatile trying to talk my boss into possibly purchasing one. But my hat's off to you brother! You definitely juggle a lot and seem to do it pretty good job of it put out a quality product. Keep up the hard work and you and your family have a happy blessed New Year

    Hey, great tip on changing the dip switches to show a full list of consumables. Did it on my 1060 and worked like a charm. But...I can't do it on my 3070 as the first dip is 3 digit on the 3070 (vrs 2 on the 1060) and 010 doesn't make the change. Did you do it on your 3070?

    I have two 1070's at work. Just started working since 2 months ago in a printing facility so I'm learning a lot from your video's! I mostly use one printer for silk paper and the other for offset paper. I've run into some strange problems with the printers already. Sometimes on thinner paper (120gr-170gr) it will have the tip of the corner folded over. Another problem that I have frequently is that the printer says it's jammed and then I have to open the drawer just to close it again and that works fine. Have you ever had something similar happen to your printers? Really enjoy your video's keep up the good work!

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had paper dog ear before(corner folded over). I had fixed that by either lowering or raising the gsm setting for the paper. I don't recall encountering the second problem you mention. Glad you like the videos!

    A good paper catalog is the most important thing you can do, and a joy forever. Check the paper catalog on your C3070 touch panel (not in CWS) to make sure none of your paper profile have size="Don't care" (they don't show up on the Fiery). I also like putting the paper size as the first thing in the profile name; e.g. "12x18 Futura 100# Gloss Cover". Also, did you know that when viewing the paper catalog on the touch panel, you can sort the list by any column, simply by touching the column header? Also, this is not obvious on the Machine screen, but there is a little arrow button on the bottom right that you can use to scroll the button bar to reveal a "Reg./Del. Paper Catalog" that lets you manage the paper catalog at the machine. There, you can build in duplex alignment and other settings that you can't set in the Fiery Paper Catalog utility. Cool stuff, keep those videos coming!

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว
