If Silver Price EXPLODES Will Coin Shops Still Buy My Silver?

  • In this video I go to Harry's Coin Shop and we talk about selling silver and if the coins shops will still be buying silver when silver price goes up. If silver goes to an all time high who will buy my silver? Also do coin shops hold back silver for sale when silver price drops? So many interesting silver price questions answered in this video. If you are silver stacking or silver investing and you want to come up with an exit strategy for down the road then consider selling to a local coin shop. I love making these coin shop videos and I hope you like watching them as well. Below is the link to the Harry's Coin Shop Playlist:

    This is my local coin shop. I can confirm Harry, Adrian, and Richard are as smart, welcoming, and helpful in real life as they are in these videos. And they're generous with their deals as well as their knowledge. I generally go there for their "junk" silver, which consistently has higher grade coins mixed in, at prices better than you can find on the internet.

    Ha, I recently went into a local chain pawn shop(not mom or pop) when silver was down around 20$ spot. Didn’t see one piece of silver with the exception of jewelry out. I asked if they had any bars or rounds and got a snide reply of nope! I then said “you don’t have anything, no eagles, no hand pour nothing? She turned her back and began to walk away saying we have none. I found it hard to believe being there was no explanation like, some just bought all we had because silver is low now. Or, we have some in back but can’t put it out yet. Nothing, just nope, no silver and walked away with an attitude. So, I fully believe some places will hide it when prices drop !

    It's annoying to me how many people (who aren't into metals) seem to think that if silver goes to x price then no one will buy it. It's like they suddenly forgot how markets work. The reason anything in the world reaches a certain price is precisely BECAUSE demand pushed it there, which means more people than ever are buying. In the past 10 years, virtually every asset, commodity, and resource on earth has gone up significantly in price (in some cases double, triple, or even multiples) and nobody ever says "if x item goes to x dollars, no one will buy it". Whether it's car prices, home prices, Apple stock prices, Tesla stock prices, Bitcoin, or even everyday resources like gas, food, lumber, etc. Literally EVERYTHING on earth has gone up significantly, except silver and gold (because they're so criminally manipulated). And yet when have you ever heard people use this faulty logic applied to homes, cars, stocks, cryptos, etc? I've never heard it once. Apple stock used to be under $50 a share, now it's close to $200, and not once did I hear anyone say "if it goes that high no one will buy". Tesla stock used to be, what, 1/10th of where it's currently at? Hell, Bitcoin was once $5 and is now close to $30k! Have you ever heard someone say at any point in the last decade "if Bitcoin ever reaches $1000, no one will buy"? No of course not. Because everyone subconsciously understands that whatever price a thing is, it's there because demand pushed it there, which means it IS being bought. Gold and silver are the ONLY freakin thing on this earth which cause them to forget this simple principle, and apply a completely different faulty "logic" as to why they think "no one will buy". Just shows you how great/deep the brainwashing campaign has been of causing Americans to absolutely detest precious metals. People literally abandon their common sense and logic to unfairly bash metals, when they don't apply that same logic to anything else that they buy or invest in.

    • @Run4Ever77
      @Run4Ever77 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      To be completely fair, the silver (and gold) market IS different than most of those other assets' markets you described in that with silver, there is the spot price market, and then a separate physical market, and the two can weirdly be disconnected at crucial times. For example, since I started buying gold & silver in 2006, there have been at least three times when the spot price went very low, and physical was absolutely NOT available anywhere in the local markets at those low prices. The premium was huge all three times. So, to mention the possibility of a similar effect happening in reverse near a big top is not unreasonable.
      This effect doesn't happen with Apple stock price, Tesla stock price, Bitcoin, etc because.the market price IS THE price we buy & sell at. There is no significant premium above or below the quoted stock price.

    • @toddcutsuries54

I too wanted to buy physical in mid April 2011 & March 2020 but could not find anyone, and I mean anyone who wanted to sell @ spot plus normal premium ($3-5 over). They were only interested in buying at current market prices. The silver-gold market is unique into itself.

    I wish more businesses were run the way Harry obviously runs his. A pleasant experience to watch these & hear him & his guys talk. Obviously men of character. Beyond the excellent information & advice, these are sort of a video version of comfort food. Thanks for this channel. Subscribed in a hot second before the first video I watched was even over.

    When I first started collecting gold was $35 an ounce! Silver 1.75? Not sure of that. Silver $'s were at the bank for face. BU $20 St.Gauden's $53 buy and $58 sell. My folks bought me a 1927 for my 14th. birthday. I still have it. PCGS graded it a 63. Gasoline about 30c and minimum wage 75c!!!

    I do enjoy these vids, Dragons. I wish that New Zealand had LCSs, so I coulld walk in, & strike up a conversation, & learn from them, as well as develop a relationship, for my stacking. I do have something similar, with my local refinery, but that's half way across the city. Not quite the same, even they are all very amenable people.
    Not sure if you have a video on asking Harry about how he began, his LCS journey, & what made him decide, on the start-up. If not, maybe something to consider.

    You are a young man Harry, you will likely almost surely see the what happens with the next ten years. Myself that might be questionable. At least I'll get to leave a couple of interesting coins to my heirs. I would love to visit your shop but alas the distance is quite great as is you and your cohorts attitudes and knowledge. Thanks to the Dragon for these vids.
