Over 3 years ago Dan Mohler preached on James chapter 5. The audio is called "The truth about Job." It should clarify Dan's position on healing. It's not that going to a place for help is bad but a lack of faith is what a lot of people have which results in hopping in and out of every prayer line and healing service. That aint faith. That is letting the storm over take you, forgetting that Jesus wont forsake you. You see, they prayed " Master we perish!" Jesus replied "Where is your Faith?"
"Give Me Your Eyes", Brandon Heath. This is to see what God sees and not what we see. God does not want us to not have Faith. We need to have His Love and His eyes for change to take place.
don't forget Mark 6:5 And because of their unbelief, he couldn't do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.---- Don't forget this is God in a human body now. We should be persistent like Jesus was the 2nd go around with the mud on the blind man's eyes.
"The point of their message is to wait upon God, not hop on every prayer line they can hoping they will be set free." I guess the church needs to step it up so the sick get healed after the first prayer. This might sound mean, but seriously think for a moment what you are saying here. Since we aren't seeing results, now we yell at the sick when they don't give up and actually persevere because they do trust and believe Jesus for their healing. haha!
The point of their message is to wait upon God, not hop on every prayer line they can hoping they will be set free. If we become sick as followers of Christ then we should already acknowledge that the sickness is of the enemy because sickness kills. Therefore, standing on God's promises that sin/death shall not have dominion over us because we are not under the law but under grace should come out. Not us being full of fear running to a man for their healing anointing.
Jesus could only do a few miracles there becauase only a few people came to him. He had the belief to do miracles even when others didn't. Nobody believed that Lazarus was going to rise from the dead but Jesus. In Mark 6, Jesus was among his neighbors, who felt like this guy is a carpenter's son and a carpenter himself, he's no great teacher come from God, so they did not seek Him. If no one much comes to Him, then no one much gets healed.
"People drive long distances and go to certain meetings"... I bet there were people in that very audience who drive a long way to see Dan and Todd talk. People in the Bible walked long distances to go to certain meetings too and Jesus commended them for their faith, not condemned them saying it was works. I just don't get why the sick are condemned for doing what the Bible says to do. James 5:14-15 "Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him..."
"Not us being full of fear running to a man for their healing anointing." So if you are sick and want prayer, now you are just in fear? Nice twist. Holy Spirit hands out healing gifts as HE chooses so why are you in so much fear/envy(?) over this? It's not a man's idea, but God's.. We've become so afraid of "annointings". Who cares if God gave a person a gift, you have been given them too. It just sounds like a lot of jealousy in the church when it comes to healings.
I can't accept the 'anointing' doctrine anymore based on Ephesians ... we have all spiritual blessing in Christ... and 2 Peter 1 ... we have everything we need for life and godliness now... we have all graces gifts blessings in Christ, we need to use them... Dan used the example in a video I watched here on TH-cam that its like a girl that was given a beautiful coat from her father and she hangs it in the closet... she has it, she owns it but it doesn't keep her warm from the cold while it is hanging in the closet...
They are not condemning anyone. They are pointing out how people are reliant upon others and not God. Also, Jesus was the only one who ever did what he did so the father of the boy had no other choice but go to Jesus. Now that we have the Holy Spirit given there is no need for us to go any far distances to gain a miracle. If we believe then these signs shall follow.
You're just not use to God. No offense. The closer you get to God, the crazier you'll get. Just like Jesus, alot of people thought he was a liar, demon possess, lunatic. And when you hear and watch this man, alot of people believe the same. Its not that hes a liar or a lunatic, hes just acts alot like Jesus.
I love Dan, but I still don't understand why he is against sick people going to get prayer from others. Even in this teaching the father brought the boy TO the disciples. Nowadays if a sick person goes to a meeting, Dan and Todd are preaching a message of condemnation. I'm referring to what he said at 3:22-3:32. The boy would NOT have been healed if this father had not gone to the disciples and then to Jesus himself. It's not about works at all. It's about going to an ambassador of Christ.
I have to disagree on this then. We are told to go to the elders of the church. Many elders in churches these days, don't believe in healing at all and there is no where in the Bible does it tell sick people to get healing on their own. "The point of their message is to wait upon God, not hop on every prayer line they can hoping they will be set free." Getting prayer from other Christians is faith. The father brought the BOY to Jesus' disciples... We are ALL disciples today.
I've read all your comments and you seem to be misunderstanding a couple of things, one of them being the difference between coming to Jesus and coming to people. I can come to Jesus by getting other christians to minister healing to me, that's biblical. But getting some famous evangelist to pray for me and trusting in his/her prayers instead of the will of God is not. A lot of people think that certain people are better at getting God to listen to them or somehow are capable of twisting God's arm. This is doubt and unbelief. Healing was God's idea to begin with, we dont have to convince him to do it.
I like this but let's not oversimplify the fact that one place in scripture it said "Jesus could not do many miracles because of THEIR lack of faith" so there's more to the subject than Mark 9. but we need to hear this for sure the church is pathetic.
So again, sick people cannot win. Either you get too much prayer or not enough prayer. As long as you are still sick, you are always wrong. That's what I don't like at all about these teachings. We lack a lot of compassion towards the sick and we have made this a formula.. "Oh don't get a lot of prayer, that's not faith" "Oh you haven't gotten prayer, well then you don't have faith". How do you stand in judgement against another person's faith? Jesus never once spoke ill of a person's faith.
Compassion is key of course. But Jesus did speak ill of others faith at least once as is mentioned in this video. It is not helpful to say it is persons fault if they don’t get healing. That isn’t compassionate. We have to keep loving on them and believing on breakthrough. We also don’t want them tormented.

Powerful!
I love this dude. He acts like that dude in the bible,I believe his name was Jesus.
Wow!!! That was seriously super mind blowing!

May God bless your heart with much love and wisdom from above, taylorsstudios.
Great teaching! Thanks for posting. Where can we see the full video?
Good stuff!!

This blessed me

...when I survey the wondrous cross... I pour contempt on all my ego-pride and prejudice
Amazing
