Correct,we are taught in scripture to draw our strength from God the Father,Who He is in His faithfulness to us. This Holy Spirit power is not where we draw our strength from. Nope, not His purpose.
The annointing that comes for us to be effective in witnessing, preaching, teaching,is from the Holy Spirit, but it's not power, it's life being given to our words that will reach man's hearts.

Children of God, one thing that i have noticed is that the more the Church ignores the Holy Spirit, the less powerful it becomes. It becomes just an organized moral institution. Get the Holy Spirit; get the power!
Oh, what is powerful is growing in Christ Jesus, becoming holy as God is Holy. Studying the Word of God to show yourself approved of God. The Holy Spirit is not given to us for power. Jesus tells us the ministry of the Holy Spirit for us.
To council,guide, convince of sin, rightousness and judgment.To lead us into all Truth, correct us, bring us godly wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and insight.
This is what scripture says about the Holy Spirit. The power is not why the Holy Spirit was sent.
If we don't know the real purpose then we will look for experiences rather than a seeker of God's face and rightousness.
God is interested in our dying to self, walking in Truth, not be of the world tho we are in it.
Getting excited about power is not on God's agenda.

True ministry does take endurance. A true man of God has a hard calling upon him/her . They love God and love serving, but it's draining work to be on the front line where spiritual warfare is strong. Sounds good to say that you enjoy ministry, but that leaves the impression that it's easy. Fulfilling I can grasp as you see ppl becoming rooted and grounded in their love for Jesus Christ.
Many ppl fill out forms, but are not being discipled to develop true lasting faith in the Gospel.
Numbers influence us to believe he's successful, but lets have fruit that remains. Right, isn't that what we're after?

I recieved the baptism of the Holy Spirit by praying earnestly until the Lord filled me with the Holy Spirit then stopped thanking Him for a minute and consciously yielded/ surrendered my tongue until the Holy Spirit took control of it and enabled me to speak in tongues.

Amen Evangelist Bonnke! There are several levels in God. Those who want the empowerment for ministry will seek for more from God. I am one of those believers who wants God's power to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ. Thanks for sharing this powerful message. Again, I am a believer. If one reads the Bible, how can one doubt this spiritual experience? I believe more Christians need to read the Bible for themselves and they will see that what Reinhard is preaching is the Gospel truth. It's all in the Book of ACTS.
You're right. Jesus said that," Narrow is the way and Few therebe that find it". You have to be looking for " the way" in order to find it or not. The Word says that we will be judged by the Word. Millions of professing christians aren't going to make it because they have listened to man instead of relying on the Word alone.

I do not know a lot of things about Mr Bonnke in these last days but i know that the Spirit of the Lord did use him to speak through to me in a TV evangelism 8 years ago and i was revived so let God be his judge because we will all stand before the throne of God for account of the Gospel as well and if he teaches what you can not understand just rightly divide the word of truth for yourself in the Holy Ghost.

Yahshua was baptized by John and the Ruach HaKodesh (Sacred Breath) descended upon him. The apostles waited until the same Ruach descended upon them as tongues of fire. In "86 I was 'told' to give a friend a gift. My hands became hot and I placed them on his head and sat down. He collapsed on the floor. After a while, he stood up and I asked what he received and he said the marrow of his bones were on fire. Later he healed a toddler who fell of his trike. I didn't instigate it.

I am from Soviet Union. When prosecution were everywhere, people of God was as a burning stow, and all, I mean all of us, where baptized in Holy Spirit. How did we know of it? All of us had tongs, all of us still has tongs. 100% of us was with 4-8 years of school education, none of us has any college, since we are christian. For you to know, Soviet Union has a rule - not with us, than go and work on farm, or in fields, or just be a helper. So, it is continued experience up to these days.

Amen. Thank You Jesus Christ for the blessing of your Holy Spirit. I like this message, the blood of Jesus Christ is the only qualification (Ephesians 1:13)! Many genuine believers have been tormented by doubting whether they have the Holy Spirit in them, being made to believe they need to fast, to pray long hours, live perfectly holy etc. before they receive Him. Freely have we been given in Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit now enables us to be transformed and grow in godliness and character into the image of Jesus Christ, more and more. Indeed the righteous ones shall live by faith, believe the truths of scripture in a child like faith and walk in them/live out the truths. Hallelujah!

Of course, the Holy Spirit of Christ enters in at conversion - so in Christ we are all the same - with the same Spirit endued to each one - not one believer 'who has the Spirit' and another lower, poorer believer that 'does not have the Spirit'..Christ's work is consistent in each one, without favouritism. There are no 'super' Christians or ordinary Christians, we are all the same in HIm. He is rather stretching and twisting the interpretation of Acts 2 to mean something entirely different than it was meant to be by the original writer, Luke.
For that reason, this got a 'thumbs down' from me.

These days when the Gospel is preached under the annointing, they know they will be mocked,persecuted, even physically abused. Ppl don't want to hear that they are sinners who must repent.

This is only possible of course by NOT preaching SIN, REPENTANCE from Sin, the Cross, Progressive Sanctification etc which you will hardly ever hear from Bonnke, - or only an occassional reference at best. They preach their own doctrines, the doctrines of men, feel good - no spirtiual challenge - only stuff that people want to hear..It's a damning heresy that leaves men the same at the end as they were at the beginning. There is never any sense of coming to the word of God and exposing verse by verse what it says - only a proof verse for what his 'topic' is going to be. It's sad, because it's leading people astray and leading many to hell, when they think they are saved.

bro.Gareth, Bonnke was not preaching on "super Christianity", he is actually teaching that we, people who profess to be born again , can be baptised by the Holy Spirit, infused with His dunamis--the same power that made Jesus rise from the dead.

The difference from the church in acts, as opposed to Bonnke's preaching, they were not preaching about the Holy Spirit and it came. This man is preaching on the Spirit which is to be a revealer of Jesus, not the Focus of the message but the messenger. See the difference?

To stay on subject, in Acts 8, Peter and John went to Samaria to pray for CHRISTIANS there that "they might recieve the Holy Spirit".10 years after Pentecost, in Cornelius' house, the Jewish believers were amazed because God poured out His Holy Spirit on Gentile believers there. 10 years later, we read of the aforementioned account where Paul laid his hands on the Corinthians and they recieved the Holy Spirit.

You receive it through faith and Gods grace to make you a new person. Don't get hung up in a works approach to Gods gifts. Just pray and follow Jesus with the openness to change. Beware of tricks and demons that pretend to be 'tongues'. It's not all healthy and of God.

Yes, a person receives the Spirit of Christ at salvation, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit
is an enduement of miracle working ability from God. Jesus Himself received it at the age of about 30 years old as he worked no miracles until He received it. Was he God's Son before He received this power? Of course. But he received miracle working power when the Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove. His miracles (Cana) began after that. (Acts 10:38)
I just wanted to take a few seconds to ask God to forgive you because you know not what you say. And secondly I rebuke that demonic spirit that's holding that soul captive and send that unclean spirit to the lake of fire in Jesus name Amen.

This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
" Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your TIME to be slaughtered has come; you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery. The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape."--- Jeremiah 25:34-35
For this is what the LORD had shown me in a vision one night--- that was in OCTOBER of the year 2014---
I saw distinctly in my dream 3 huge BROILED tuna fish with a stick piercing each one, passing through their bodies lengthwise; it appeared to me as if they were roasted over FIERY coals and were just recently taken off from them.
The interpretation of the Dream (Genesis 40:8):
Just as the Son of Man ATE BROILED fish during HIS earthly life (Luke 24:42-43), The LORD's FIERY wrath will EAT UP these professing Christian Leaders (huge tuna fish) til they are BROILED--- these Christian leaders who have ruined HIS vineyard (Jeremiah 12:10-11, Isaiah 5:7, Ezekiel 34:1-10); advocating doctrines from men (Isaiah 29:13)--- 3 YEARS from now, beginning OCTOBER of 2014... TAKE WARNINGS THEN !
So for now enjoy the bounty and luxury brought forth from the tithes, offerings and gifts (Christmas and birthday gifts and the like), coming off from the assembly under your lordship, for later on--- at the appointed time of the LORD's FIERY wrath (3 YEARS from OCTOBER of 2014)--- you will do so no longer.
It is for which reason you cannot give up this PAGAN observances (Birthdays--- Genesis 40:20, Mark 6:21; Easter, Christmas, Valentine's, Halloween and the like---Galatians 4:8-11) because the assembly lavished you with gifts during these occasions.
So, the church leaders and the congregation under them are helping to destroy each others. You, church leaders, have become a stumbling block to them and the church themselves stumbled with you. But if you had followed the LORD wholeheartedly, can HE not give you much more than these gifts ?
Just as it is written:
The rulers demand gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire--- they all conspire together (Micah 7:3). You (leaders) trample on the poor and force him to give you grain (TITHES and OFFERINGS)... Amos 5:11-12
And as is also written:
Her (church) LEADERS judge for a bribe, her PRIEST (pastors/preachers) teach for a price, and her PROPHETS tell fortunes for money--- Micah 3:11

Dear jehovahuponyou when we are first saved yes there is an actual dwelling of the Holy Spirit, how ever the baptisms of the Holy Spirit is total submerging of you so that there is no room for anything else...I.E self, addiction, etc. etc....please read the bible 1611/1769 KJV and not some other version it explains everything in detail. Also don't post parts of scripture and try to make it say something else other than what it was intended for.
