1:35 he smiles when she start rambles ( he still adores her ) 1:36 Rory Jess look at each other and smile about her ramble ( they're connected ) their chemistry is undeniable, and he truly care about her well being, education, career, and he's the only person that she listen to, he's hers and she's his, they're the end game, periodt. Such a shame the writers kept ruined their plots. If only they're got married in the show and real life ( they both gorgeous ).
@Dulcyca2010 right, he hurt her feelings, but they saw each other for the first time in a long long time and both of them were talking about their lives. So, tell him about having a boyfriend it wasn't a big deal at all. But we all know why she didn't do it for the second time.
When rory just kinda kept on talking about the whole old friend thingi Jess's smile looked so genuine Rory is the ONLY girl jess truly loved which warms my heart 🤧
If he brought out the best in her why did he almost force himself onto Rory at Kyle’s party ignores her the next and then leaves without saying goodbye?
@@swiftie4ever2010 unlike Logan, Jess had the shittiest upbringing a boy could have. No role-model, no family support except Luke, and literally an outcast of society. That’s not to say it’s an excuse to go up to Rory like that at the party, but Jess grew up, matured, and became self-successful on his own. He always was intelligent, he just needed love
@@johno3801 How did Jess grew up when he’s the one who asked Rory to run away with him for the summer? That means he wasn’t going to bring her back for the whole school year. I found that immature of Jess.
@@swiftie4ever2010 I’m talking more about later in the series and in the revival. I agree Jess hasn’t changed in that part asking Rory to come with him given they’re only still like what 19/20? but in the revival, he had the best development out of anyone who love Rory. Pushing her to come back to Yale, Inspiring her to write a book .
Jess is the only guy who will tell Rory straight when she’s messing up. Or when she needs to hear something but doesn’t necessarily want to. He knows Rory better than all of her other love interests. Jess will always be my choice for Rory.
My thoughts about this scene: All her life Rory was treated like a literal angel by getting praise from her childish parents and her grandparents who spoiled her way too much. This is understandable as they are family but throughout the show we see the town putting her on a pedestal and for me at least I never really got that. Her school was also the same as in the end she actually becomes valedictorian(I still don’t get how Paris didn’t become one cos she worked so hard) by being driven. Her being hardworking is good but all this praise coming with isn’t-yes getting a pat on the back is good once in a while but when people clarify it over and over again it makes her work hard less and makes her become entitled. This is seen with Rory being stupid and dropping out of Yale when Logan’s dad was just giving her constructive criticism. Now with Jess telling her off it’s powerful because it was a reason that Rory could put her life together but since it came from someone she knew it would be there with her forever.I mean that’s why Jess was a new character in s2 because he was the only one that could view her as not a sweet kid but a human.I’ve never been able to decide who is the best boyfriend for Rory but in terms of emotional endurance it is hands down Jess because he will always be there for her as a figure who isn’t afraid to tell her what she needs to hear even if it isn’t the most pleasant thing when most people in Rory’s life can’t do that and manipulate her instead I definitely overanalysed this scene but it’s soooo good so I couldn’t resist
I have to many emotions. For years, I have been annoyed at Jess bringing up Logan again and than saying to Rory 'This isn't about him', like no honeybuns you brought him up okay. But i am realising that he is talking not about Logan but about the fact that Rory is choosing to be with Logan. Then at the end he says 'maybe we will catch up... at a better time' and I am noticing that he is most likely not saying that Tuesdays don't work for him or that the time of year was inconvenient, but instead saying that they will catch up when she is in a better place and has her life back on track. Sorry if this was all obvious to you but I just wanted to let it out
I will always refer to this scene when defending jess. They met at the wrong time, but it is clear they're perfect for each other. Jess understands her more than dean and Logan combined
the way he is the only one to give her a wake up and doesn’t treat her like a golden perfect girl, but at the same time clearly cares for her even tho they don’t have anything anymore, and it’s worried about how is she doing in life. I love jess, fav character ever!!!
THIS is why i’m team jess. he’s the ONLY person who tried to talk some sense into her and make her realize that she wasn’t acting like herself. he’s the only one that cared enough to have her not mess up her life that she worked so hard for. had they ended up together, rory probably would’ve found herself again and become a better person.
It's such an important scene and furthermore it shows that the show casts actors who really know their business, the emotions on their faces are soooo good
this should’ve been the end of logan and the beginning of new age jess. even when he was polite logan was sleezy, meanwhile jess is the only person to ever truly understand rory. they’re soulmates.
“wHY did yOu dROp oUt of yAAaale?” *“we made fun of guys like this”* Jess has my heart he had NOTHING but still made something of himself! Rory had EVERYTHING but fumbled after ONE comment from all the praise she had got in her life
Maybe I am remembering incorrectly, but Mitchum was extremely harsh, and wasn't that after the parents treated her like trash? Only Logan's sister was nice to Rory. Do I think she should have dropped out of Yale? No, but I can see where she might overreact a bit. I love Jess, especially in this scene. The reason why Rory listens to him and not Lorelai is because he is her contemporary, not an authoritative figure laying down the law (which we all see our parents as at some point in our lives).
People don’t notice the small hints the show is giving . I think is kind of obvious Jess and Rory are going to be endgame in the revival. He is always showing up in her life , he always witnesses Rory’s relationships , but he is always there besides Rory only listens to him for some reason.
When he said “Why did you drop out of Yale” and “This isn’t you” you could see that he was watching the one he truly loves disappear and transform into this new person he doesn’t know
Jess fights for Rory and usually avoids fights unless someone had it coming or he’s a target. Everybody really wanted to do what Jess did but they hoped Rory would come to her senses. Jess believes in her and she obviously believes in him too. I feel like Logan acts like he has Rory (&Jess) figured out but Jess lets Rory be herself, they’ve both been there for each other through each other’s ups and downs and I don’t see that ending. I think she could end up re-married like her mom and other people out there.
It would be nice if she gets to have it all with Jess, and not be like her mom who waited 8 years to get together with the love of her life and then another 10 years to marry him.
@@nawoda9818 Nono. Rory destroyed her relationship with Dean. She kissed him. She visited Jess in NY. She was obsessed with him. Obviously, Jess wasn’t innocent. He liked to mess with Dean & make him jealous. Ultimately, though, it was Rory’s fault the relationship ended. She led dean on for weeks when she clearly had feelings for Jess.
I love how he asks her why she dropped out of Yale but also the last time he saw her like a year or two ago, he was begging her to run away with him to NYC and just start working. I know it was a completely different state of mind and situation, but it's funny to think about.
when everyone in your life hates the man you're dating except your grandparents who have always valued money/status above all, it's a clear cut sign that he's not the one. lorelai, luke, christopher, paris, jess all hated logan. i'm sure lane did too. rory is an idiot. she didn't even deny jess knows her best. he was too good for her when they got older.
Lorelai didn’t “hate” Logan.Luke hated all her boyfriends(aside from Jess who was is nephew)he even said Jess isn’t good for her,Chris said he approved of Logan,ex boyfriends opinions on current boyfriends really don’t matter
Jess saw through everything! Jess was one of the best characters on the show, period. Not even ranking him as Rory’s boyfriends. Rory didn’t deserve him. He’s such a no bs character.
Think about Logan could care less if Rory went back to Yale but not even her boyfriend but JESS who she hasn't seen in what year or more? Is the one who convinced her to go back to Yale
HONESTLY logan was just like “oh it’s just temporary” “she’ll be back” he made NO efforts to try and get her back to yale, but jess, who REALLY knows her, knew something was up and finally succeeded in getting her back to yale
Logan acted like that because he knows Rory, He knew her time off from Yale would be temporary. And It's not Logan responsibility or anyone's to get her back at college, Rory is an adult, it is her decision not anyone else's.@@literativyy
Dean was her first boyfriend. The one she needed to test the waters of relationships with because he was a safe choice who didnt pressure her into things she didnt want. Logan brought her out of her shell and made her see there was more to life then being stuck in a book. But jess has always been the one to challenge her perspective of the world she is in and realise things she needs to find out. She needed all of them to become her true self how ever because she only kept one in her life regularly after school she lost herself again. Honestly she needs all three to find herself again. I hope they do a part 2 of the revival so she does
Danielle Briganti I hate how Logan got a bad rap or painted badly in this episode, I mean she would have been livid if she had come home early from a trip and found Logan about to head out on the town with an ex girlfriend that he called just an old friend. Wouldn’t anyone be jealous of what they had interrupted? I think Logan was completely justified not to get belligerent but to at least be miffed!
@@Ro2008sie "Wouldn’t anyone be jealous of what they had interrupted?" Yes, but not everyone would act like a huge jackass in this scenario, regardless of being jealous, Logan did.
Twin Flames. When one is getting it together, the other is falling apart and it keeps happening until they have both grown into their destinies and best selves. Then, they can be together as equals.
The difference between Rory and Jess is that Jess grew up and matured while also being the same person that fell in love with Rory. Rory on the other hand didn’t change and tried too hard to change that she didn’t know what she wanted. Rory needs to stop acting like Jess is still this trouble maker that needs a good girl like her to fix. He had his life together she doesn’t
I honestly feel sorry for jess here. It's really sad how he was trying to help her, but even though he got somewhere temporarily, she's ultimately too selfish to listen to him.
True colors here... Logan doesn’t care about who Rory is and wants to be. Indulging her in her breakdown is not doing her any service, everyone can see she’s not the best she can be thus preventing her from being really happy, but it doesn’t bug him. He’s got the Rory he needs for him, pretty face and good company. He manages to make her strengthening up ABOUT HIM and hides behind this bs about how everyone is only responsible for themselves like the privileged coward he is...
I've gotten to the point where I genuinely believe that Amy and Dan are evil geniuses who wrote this storyline just to torture us. It's like everytime Rory and Jess get close to something good happening they destroy it. Like WHY WHY did stupid Logan come in and interrupt this.
This might sound gay but that was an adorable smile n said how much he adores her for who she is
I’ve watched this show so many times idk why I never noticed his smile right there 😭
It's the second time that Rory doesn't tell Jess she has a Boyfriend. That means a lot to me
Wait when did she ever not tell Jess about Dean?
@@sharmainealag6142 part 3 of Rory and Jess Story, you can also watch it in this channel
@@karlenasanchez oh is it the scene where Dean and Jess meet for the first time and he asks her if he's her boyfriend?
@@sharmainealag6142 yes. It is
@Dulcyca2010 right, he hurt her feelings, but they saw each other for the first time in a long long time and both of them were talking about their lives. So, tell him about having a boyfriend it wasn't a big deal at all. But we all know why she didn't do it for the second time.
jess is me with the whole logan/rory thing and rory in later years
one of the reasons why i loved jess with her
rory didn't have to pretend
When rory just kinda kept on talking about the whole old friend thingi
Jess's smile looked so genuine
Rory is the ONLY girl jess truly loved which warms my heart 🤧
2:01 That moment when she almost pushed his arm off of her...almost.
Awe Jess remembered her B-Day
I love 0:09, looks like they actually scared each other haha. Great acting
Logan brings out the worst in Rory, Jess brings out the best in her.
& yet fans love Logan
"You going out with this jerk, with a Porsche. We made fun of guys like this!" I love the way he delivered this line it's so funny to me
“This isn’t you Rory, you know it isn’t. What’s going on?” JESS the only man to wake Rory up, the man for her.
Jess is the only guy who will tell Rory straight when she’s messing up. Or when she needs to hear something but doesn’t necessarily want to. He knows Rory better than all of her other love interests. Jess will always be my choice for Rory.
I love that when he tells her that he knows her better than anyone else, she doesn't disagree. She knows it's the truth.
My thoughts about this scene:
All her life Rory was treated like a literal angel by getting praise from her childish parents and her grandparents who spoiled her way too much.
Now with Jess telling her off it’s powerful because it was a reason that Rory could put her life together but since it came from someone she knew it would be there with her forever.I mean that’s why Jess was a new character in s2 because he was the only one that could view her as not a sweet kid but a human.I’ve never been able to decide who is the best boyfriend for Rory but in terms of emotional endurance it is hands down Jess because he will always be there for her as a figure who isn’t afraid to tell her what she needs to hear even if it isn’t the most pleasant thing when most people in Rory’s life can’t do that and manipulate her instead
I definitely overanalysed this scene but it’s soooo good so I couldn’t resist
I have to many emotions. For years, I have been annoyed at Jess bringing up Logan again and than saying to Rory 'This isn't about him', like no honeybuns you brought him up okay. But i am realising that he is talking not about Logan but about the fact that Rory is choosing to be with Logan. Then at the end he says 'maybe we will catch up... at a better time' and I am noticing that he is most likely not saying that Tuesdays don't work for him or that the time of year was inconvenient, but instead saying that they will catch up when she is in a better place and has her life back on track. Sorry if this was all obvious to you but I just wanted to let it out
Bea Gale OMG love ur profile pic
I will always refer to this scene when defending jess. They met at the wrong time, but it is clear they're perfect for each other. Jess understands her more than dean and Logan combined
Agreed
Another reason why Jess was the One for Rory: All of the other guys were threatened by his presence, but he always confident.
even though I'm logan all the way it's undeniable how well jess understands rory
the way he is the only one to give her a wake up and doesn’t treat her like a golden perfect girl, but at the same time clearly cares for her even tho they don’t have anything anymore, and it’s worried about how is she doing in life.
Perfect scene. I love how he called her out .
They acted like Jess was the biggest threat, but always had her back...and that's love
“this isn’t about him. screw him, what’s going on won’t you”
“wHY did yOu dROp oUt of yAAaale?”
*“we made fun of guys like this”*
Jess has my heart he had NOTHING but still made something of himself!
That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles 🎶
"Romeo and Juliet had warring families, but they still managed to do a little damage" - Jess Mariano 😂😂
"WHY DID YOU DROP OUT OF YALE?!" The surprise on his face!
Jess saved Rory here she starts relizing what she is doing with her life Jess is the saviour
"You seem very obsessed with length" - Jess is the only one who can face Logan in a witness dispute
1:35 i love how he smiles and laughs at her joke.
Rory and Jess will always be my favorite
crazy when there’s that pause and he just looks at her like he doesn’t even recognize who he’s talking to anymore
THE WAY HE REMEMBERS HER BIRTHDAY
This is my favorite scene in the entire series.
My fav episode of this season ...Jess bringing her Rory back on track
What episode?
ngl kinda funny when jess was like ' wHy DiD yOu DrOp OuT oF yAlE' lmao
People don’t notice the small hints the show is giving . I think is kind of obvious Jess and Rory are going to be endgame in the revival. He is always showing up in her life , he always witnesses Rory’s relationships , but he is always there besides Rory only listens to him for some reason.
this is why we like Jess , the whole team Jess is because of this ep ♥
Jess will always be the one for Rory
Jess was too good for Rory
😱😱😱😱😱
He was a jerk. He destroyed rory & Dean's relationship. Good for nothing fellow
3:35 that little touch 😭
I love how he asks her why she dropped out of Yale but also the last time he saw her like a year or two ago, he was begging her to run away with him to NYC and just start working. I know it was a completely different state of mind and situation, but it's funny to think about.
when everyone in your life hates the man you're dating except your grandparents who have always valued money/status above all, it's a clear cut sign that he's not the one. lorelai, luke, christopher, paris, jess all hated logan. i'm sure lane did too. rory is an idiot. she didn't even deny jess knows her best. he was too good for her when they got older.
Lorelai didn’t “hate” Logan.Luke hated all her boyfriends(aside from Jess who was is nephew)he even said Jess isn’t good for her,Chris said he approved of Logan,ex boyfriends opinions on current boyfriends really don’t matter
you romeo you were throwing pebbles
0:27 I just love the way Jess says that. He sound so nice and all!
Jess saw through everything! Jess was one of the best characters on the show, period. Not even ranking him as Rory’s boyfriends. Rory didn’t deserve him. He’s such a no bs character.
"Old friend" kkkkkkk ok
It's not entirely wrong, and it's a nice way to put it sometimes.
“I know you, I know you better than anyone.”
😭😭😭
The moment it all went downhill
This was a much needed reality check
jess' little swing thing at 0:19
I love that Jess was the one to pull her out of this phase.
@@literativyy Tbh he mostly csred abt getting laid or about himself he was pretty selfish and he made Rory into a bad person
@@pettyscorpiomsp4587 y’all are just biased god
Logan acted like that because he knows Rory, He knew her time off from Yale would be temporary. And It's not Logan responsibility or anyone's to get her back at college, Rory is an adult, it is her decision not anyone else's.@@literativyy
He just GETS her,
The love of her life
Jess only got better looking with age, & he’s my favorite character 🤤
No one:
My brain, at lest once a day: WHY did you dROP out of Y A L E?
Jess is so dreamy.
I hope they do a part 2 of the revival so she does
Logan jealous of Jess
Danielle Briganti I hate how Logan got a bad rap or painted badly in this episode, I mean she would have been livid if she had come home early from a trip and found Logan about to head out on the town with an ex girlfriend that he called just an old friend. Wouldn’t anyone be jealous of what they had interrupted? I think Logan was completely justified not to get belligerent but to at least be miffed!
Ro2008sie true
i think he sensed that jess wasn't just an old friend, so felt threatened. plus jess had a lot more in common with rory.
@@Ro2008sie "Wouldn’t anyone be jealous of what they had interrupted?" Yes, but not everyone would act like a huge jackass in this scenario, regardless of being jealous, Logan did.
Ro2008sie this made me see that this is true BUT logan didn’t have to be THAT mean when jess barely said a thing and was trying to be mature
Twin Flames. When one is getting it together, the other is falling apart and it keeps happening until they have both grown into their destinies and best selves. Then, they can be together as equals.
Let's hope they do not wait till they are sixty 😂
Jess and rory...all about the timing
The difference between Rory and Jess is that Jess grew up and matured while also being the same person that fell in love with Rory. Rory on the other hand didn’t change and tried too hard to change that she didn’t know what she wanted. Rory needs to stop acting like Jess is still this trouble maker that needs a good girl like her to fix. He had his life together she doesn’t
I honestly feel sorry for jess here. It's really sad how he was trying to help her, but even though he got somewhere temporarily, she's ultimately too selfish to listen to him.
Rory's best bf was Jess, but she doesn't deservs him.
Damn I really loved her and Jess, he really did know her better than anyone that sucks he deserved her and only her
True colors here...
Jess will always be the best person in Gilmore girls, HES better then Rory these days
AND the fact he remembered her bday... so sweet
I've gotten to the point where I genuinely believe that Amy and Dan are evil geniuses who wrote this storyline just to torture us. It's like everytime Rory and Jess get close to something good happening they destroy it. Like WHY WHY did stupid Logan come in and interrupt this. JUST IMAGINE what could've happened of they actually went out and caught up normally??????
EXACTLY!! This is driving me insane, it all started out fine, they could’ve had such a nice dinner, talking about their news, her problems, his book etc. and that blond guy had to ruin everything, I hate him!!
I never really got Rory and Logan. Sure, they had some chemistry, but I never got the same feeling from them that I got with Rory and Jess.
Love Jess for always getting Rory back on track
I guess he was returning the favor after basically doing the same for him
Jess you are perfection!
Jess is the only one who can put Rory's life back in order.
Jess&Rory forever ❤️
Why didn't you include the bar scene?
