- A chronicle of the innermost thoughts of Adrian Shephard, a 22-year-old Marine Corporal and cowardly individual.
In this episode, Shephard befriends yet more aliens, radioes some marines, and comes to the startling realization that not all air vents were designed to be emergency escape hatches.
The mental image of Gordon Freeman carrying all those weapons around as he traverses Black Mesa is already absurd enough. Then you bring Shepherd's traveling zoo into the mix...

Wouldn't it be badass if Shephard appeared in HL2's universe with his pet weapons, Sparky and Squid? But it would be like, G-Man left them behind, but they survived Black Mesa's destruction somehow, then Squid matured (Spore Launchers are infant Shock Troopers after all) and since he "imprinted" on Shephard, he would recognize him in the future and follow him as a support character (akin to how Alyx follows Gordon)? ;-;
Valve and Gearbox, pls do this.

SwiftFoxyGamer Adrian was taken into detainment. Race X was shoved off of Earth when Adrian defeated the Gene worm. As for the nuking, well I have no idea on that fact.

SwiftFoxyGamer That is g-man. He can bend time and show visions of anything. He showed a picture of an undestroyed anti-mass spectrometer at the start.
I love the Spore Launcher (Squid thing). It is great against those large alien things that shoot electroballs out of their mouths and I find the fact that Adrian pets it to be one of the cutest things ever. Hate what happens in the end... if you played the game or watched this till the end then you know what I mean...

I agree. This IS some of your best VA material. Though that pizza hotline thing where you shot the phone up way back was excellent. And this might be weird, but I like your voice. It's got a nice timbre to it, and makes the jokes funnier for some reason. Hard to find nice voices in the VA world. Please don't ever stop.
Oh, and kudos on turning TH-cam down. I wish more people had that kind of integrity...

waaaaait a second. In a early episode, Adrian sees a hologram and doesn't take any notice in it, and he even scolds an alien for not knowing what it is. YET, in this one, he's all surprised by one. IS ADRIAN LOSING HIS SANITY?!

I actually wrote a story involving this alien as a mature Shock Trooper. (The species of the white 4-armed alien who totes around that 2nd Sparky) where he is now part of the HECU, PCV and all, and is named "Private Gil". PS: I discovered that the lift that Shephard DIDN'T take actually goes somewhere, not just a pile of rubble: It takes you to the still-under-construction control room of the room with the tentacles.
I wish Freemans mind continued until he got to Xen, Then you would hear "Get back here ya big orange fuck!

I love that, because he listens and talks to scientists, Adrian in the mindsverse knows more about these aliens than Gordon.
In the story I wrote, when the "squid" was at full evolution, wanting to be part of the Half-Life cast, he calls himself "Lieutenant Lightning-morph" (because he has an artificial Shockroach gun with the pincers as a grappling hook, not "Sparky".)

I love the bio weapons in this game. My fav is the shock roach. But the spore launcher OMNOMNOMs when you reload it. So hard to choose...

Why is it you get all amazed when you see this hologram but you didn't take a second look when you saw that hologram in Freeman's training area?

It wasn't displaying a thumbnail properly and said some kind of error had occurred, so I re-uploaded it. But that problem seems to have resolved itself.....quite so.
I can imagine an artist making a badass pic of Adrian walking with an MP5 and behind him is an army of dead aliens, and Sparky is on one of his shoulders and Fin is on the other.

I noticed that if you crouch and look at the "squid" from a certain angle before you pick it up, there's teeth at the pale green end with spikes. This happens to be an infant version of the alien that shoots electricity, but that has one eye, this has two. I'm pointing this out for people who didn't know that. I know Krimsin does.
I hate those long things. no matter how calm i am I allways get jumpy when I see one.
Also, I never did figure out what those floating balls of light (apparently they're called sprites) were all about, other than helping to guide the player.

Nice how you mentioned Alien. Believe me, 95% of the entire Black Mesa incident could be solved with a flamethrower. And with a smartgun and M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens, any of the three player characters would have easily won the day.

@legojay14 I'd agree with that. What about grenades? will they count? I completely understand the weight problems of the RPG and M60. If only there was a command to allow yourself to remove some weapons from your inventory. Like the "Drop page" command in MYST (Command + D)

indeed Ross Scott's Gorden Freeman really wanted a grappling hook, but i don't think he wanted to use an Alien for a grappling hook. I wonder how he'll react if were to pick up the Hornet gun or Snarks.
