Want to know what type of guy The Rev was? 6:56 "Don't sell yourself short" NO ONE would tell their band member that in an interview. Really listen to those words, they where from his heart. He meant them. THAT is why he's remembered. Not only his talent, but his heart.
It's funny how they always make fun of Johnny for playing bass. But then when he tries to sell himself short, Jimmy was right there to be like "don't do that".
Just shows what type of friendship they had.

Well, I think I'm really late for this. In fact, my friend just introduced me to this band this summer, and this dude is dead for 9 years. And still, after I fell in love with their music and started to research everything I could find of this band, The Rev's death broke my heart the most. It is silly, since I didn't even know he existed until 9 years after his death, I never met him or anyone else of A7X. But this makes me cry like a little child, just as if I lost a good friend. When I listened to "So far away" the first time after knowing its meaning, I rushed to my boyfriend hugged him and said "Please never do anything that could take you away from me. Please stay alive." Avenged Sevenfold is in fact the first band ever that makes me cry just by listening to their songs, feeling as if I was at a concert and giving me an awesome ride through all emotions existing. And now I miss a drummer I never heard of when he was still alive.
Everytime i watch a Jimmy's vid with a7x or making crazy stuff , i feel like he's still alive and playing with a7x but then i realize he's gone but he will never be forgotten , i hate the fact of not watching him in a show , he will remain in my heart his legacy , he wasn't only a musician he was more than that , a crazy motherfucker , brother bandmate , my favorite drummer , i'm kinda happy when i listen to St James...
We still didnt forget him I still listen to his drumming and other videos. I'm still a big rev fan.. he definitely lives on in a7x music.

Jimmy was actually quite shy, believe it or not! Earlier days would have been misleading to believe since he was living the crazy rockstar life with loads of energy, but he was actually quite reserved and socially awkward. ❤️
When the Rev tells Johnny not to sell himself short, Johnny grins and says, thanks man, then quietly whispers "You Rock." to Jimmy. That's the kind of thing that makes me cry. Johnny is constantly bullied in a7x, always neglected by the fans and the media, and here Jimmy is being so supportive during an interview.... I love you Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, Rest In Peace.

It's so crazy seeing him move and hearing his voice. The fucking Rev, man. It really sucked not seeing him at the show Oct. 20th, here in S.A., Tx., but A7X's tribute to him was so amazing.

Jimmy was such a creative person in every way possible. Regardless of the hardcore look, you can tell he was such a sweet guy.
When The Rev was talking about losing his musical inspiration all I could think about was how I lost my life inspiration. The Rev had to trade in his bat wings for a pair of angel wings. He inspired me to prosper and though he's no longer with us physically, he's still with us spiritually, and that is why I continue to prosper to this day.

Dude. When Johnny said he didnt believe Dimebag died. That was my exact same reaction to Jimmy. I refused to acknowledge it until I saw the CNN report.

I checked myself out of rehab in April 2009 to got see Avenged Sevenfold the consular told i was making the biggest mistake of my life i told that fucker that may be the case but i feel going to see this band is more important to me at this point JIMMY THE REV SULLIVAN died in December of that year i was so glad i had the chance to go see them and the original lineup for the first time FUCKING NO REGRETS BABY FOR REAL so glad i made that desicion because I got to meet the band with the help of JACOBY SHADDIX and all of them were the coolest nicest respectful and thankful that I was able to come see them litterally one of the best days of my life and the REV was such a goofball in a good way ill never forget how hard he made all of us laugh i really felt like I had lost a family member when i found out about his passing because we struggled with the same demons in opiate addiction we all lost a great compassionate caring human being he told me to always keep my head up no matter what I could get through anything with a positive attitude i just wish I would have been able to help him like he helped me that day

I'm back ten years later and still really enjoy watching this. It was sad hearing jimmy talk about dimebag saying it's a tragedy when he passed and the whole band was affected by it. It's so horrible it had to happen to rev and it hit a7x and the fans pretty hard. I still remember finding out and I was pretty shaking by it I was young and a fan of jimmy. I'm glad us fans and especially his family gets to continue to hear jimmy in the music and these kind of videos. His soul lives on in his friends family and music. RIP Jimmy the rev Sullivan.

Honestly, Jimmy Sullivan has been my hero since I was 8 and when I came to that part, I started bawling my eyes out. It hurts so much to know that he is gone. Even if I didn't personally know him he encouraged me to live my life when I felt like I couldn't anymore.

I was looking forward to seing him live and meeting him if my band ever takes off. The Rev was an inspiration and one of the drummers that inspired me.

What I appreciate most about A7X is just how they just give so much variety, every album is different and special. They brought back guitar solos, and sick ones at that. Although ill admit that I don't agree with some of Matts new vocals, the band in the end to me is the best. The only haters are " true metal fans" that are single minded about their "true metal" but pay no attention to these little punks. Their words are worthless period. Just appreciate what you like.

Either if this is real life or a dream, a virtual world tricking the mind, whatever life is, I know for sure I might only be here once. And I'll definitely live my life to the fullest, 'cause that won't make my life shorter, so why not?
Same here. Like every little thing they do. The way Johnny makes fun of himself in kind of a bad way, and then the way Jimmy looks at him. I don't know why I go so deep into this stuff, but that moment just touches me for some reason. =/
