Hey everyone! Welcome to my "Our Light" piano cover & tutorial!
It seems like every time I finish a Persona game, I'm left with this bittersweet feeling of emptiness. We've spent 100+ hours getting to know these characters and their stories. It may sound silly to say that we've connected so much to these fictional characters, but Atlus has done a tremendous job in making these characters feel real. We've experienced hardships together, laughed together, and cried together. At the end of it all, it's difficult not to feel some kind of post-game depression.
From playing Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, I've gathered that life is all about the journey, not the end-result. We meet new friends, share a journey for a limited amount of time, and then we part our ways - thankful for the time we've spent together. Now and then, we'll look back and think fondly of each other.
It's not exactly practical to be close friends forever, so why not go, each on our own separate ways, with a smile? Crying, waving, and looking back behind your shoulder endlessly doesn't change it. Goodbyes are necessary for us to walk along new paths, to meet new friends, and to garner new experiences.
This song, Our Light, encapsulates the experience of a group of friends that must part ways to move on to the next stage of their life. It's a beautiful song that perfectly matches the bittersweet ending of Persona 5 Royal. I hope you guys enjoy!

The English lyrics aren’t necessarily about akechi. That’s the beauty of this song is that it can be interpreted in many different ways, Joker to Akechi, Maruki to Rumi, the phantom thieves parting ways, Sumire to Kasumi, that’s why this song is so great
@@jakejackson2798 or another theory that 1st stanza is about Maruki try to let Rumi go, 2nd stanza is about Joker have to accept the reality that Akechi is actually gone, 3rd stanza is about Sumire accept the reality that Kasumi is actually die and must face reality.

hey! I tried to combine this cover with the original Our Light and god it sounded so good! They both complemented each other and added sommething to each one, if you know how to do it could you try to post a combination of both in one video? I would really appreciate it!
edit: to add more in how they complement each other: The piano part before the last chorus added something special to the song, and the drums in the original added something special to your version!
