This is why the feathers color changed. You'll notice that the setting here in this trailer is a city surrounded by water. Great bodies of water and doves have a very significant symbolism together. The dove in this trailer is likely reminiscent of the dove Noah sent out to see if the great flood waters had ceased and the earth was safe for life again. In the story, Noah first sent out a raven that did not return. This symbolized the presence of death because the raven is a carrion bird that would not need to come back with plenty of death to sustain itself on. Only later did Noah send out a Dove which did return carrying an olive leaf, indicating earth was peaceful and safe for life again. So the dove is a definite symbol of peace and life. In this trailer the dove did not return as a dove, it came back down dead and black as a Raven, a omen of doom. Remember the Raven is not supposed to return, it's supposed to thrive even under God's flooding of the world. So for it to return is indicative of something even worse than god's judgement. It's worth noting here that Subaru catching the feather is symbolic to the raven returning to him. This is some extra cool symbolism because the Raven was believed to be a creature that could foretell death. So it's a perfect symbol for Subaru. Basically, i think the Dove is meant to represent Subaru, whose initial peace and wonder at this beautiful city is turned dark and terrible as doom has come.

Well you have to keep in mind the fact that Rem's memories have been erased from everyone except for Subaru. So no character has any kind of lingering attachment for Rem at least in this Arc. So it makes no sense for the other characters to prioritize her instead of their own problems. Of course Subaru wanted to make Rem his number one priority but he understood that the problems in this Arc have to be dealt with first. Also the entirety of this Arc took place within the span of a single week actually. It's just the time-looping elements of this show and the focus on the backstories of different characters in this season made it seem that it's been such a long time. Witch Cult is an organization that has been running rampant since many centuries. If they could be found easily, then they would've been dealt long ago. Also the Witch Cult roams all across the World of Re Zero. If Gluttony is in some country other than Lugunica then it makes impossible for Subaru to hunt him down. Also the world of Re Zero is not small by any means. In fact, it takes one entire month only to travel from the eastern end of Lugunica to it's western end by a Land Dragon. And Lugunica isn't even the largest nation of this World. So I hope you got some idea about how massive the Re Zero World is. The story of Re Zero is very long actually. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it the One Piece of the isekai genre. So you might see a character you love in one Arc and then you might have to wait for a few Arcs to see that character again.
Just know that when there's a Sin Archbishop present, usually they bring chaos and destruction with them. And considering the amount of Archbishops besieging this city, this is one of my favorite arcs as this just encompasses the brutality and insanity of the Witch Cult. Also Reinhard as strong as he is; wouldn't be able to save the day like we are used to and there's also the Authorities of the Archbishops which are incredibly tricky to deal with. Subaru's gonna have to experience despair again.

The biggest problem with Sin Archibishops is... almost all of them are sort of invincible, and rough power usually is useless (like with Petelgueuse). I'm looking forward to see all this mess being solved anyway
Yeah, authorities' power system has the Jojo's levels of unpredictability on the battlefield. Petelguese was insanely tough to fight, it is impossible to kill him if you don't know his abilities and if you do manage to somehow evade his unseen hands and kill him he's just gonna hop in another body. It took Subaru with his unpredictable RbD to put him down for good after his 100 years of rampage. If we take into account that Petelguese is considered to be one of the weakest sin archbishops, having all of the archbishops in one city is gonna make even Reinhard sweat.

This trailer is largely made for the LN fans who are freaking out (myself included) at the references going on, there's SO much I want to talk about with Pristella but it's all soilerific, but this has me SO hyped and there's so many different things coming. You think it's been bad before oh lord no.
Everyone you saw in that trailer matters to some degree. No season 1 introduce someone, make some jokes, and them never see them. This new city, new badniks, new allies, new deaths... I'll be honest...I didn't see a way to win theough most of this arc. That should tell you how insane and fun S3 will be!!! Reinhardt and Wilhelm are the OP OGs!!! Love those Astreas.
It’s not a trailer it’s a preview it’s actually wild we got such a high effort pre animated preview so early there’s no release date even yet the real trailer will come later closer to the release date For season 2 they wanted to start airing it on April 1st Subarus birthday and it would’ve finished on Emilia’s birthday but it got pushed back due to covid so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were aiming for April 1st this time for season 3

So basically Vainglory, Melancholy, Envy, Lust and Warth are posible canidates vor unknown Archbishop. Since we we for sure only have acounted for Sloth,Greed and Pride (and Pride only in the sense that there isnt curently one wich dont means there cant be a new one anytime in the storry in a sense simular to Romaniconti) Another thing to think about if the coresponding wiches would object some cult claiming their names. While satella is sealed she has shown to be able to efect the world when really angry And i highly suspect Pandora had a hand in establishing the cult in the 1st place and wants to keep her name in the shadows so she might advice herself with an archbishop. thogh thats my speculations.
This new season focuses on emilia camp arriving at watergate city due to their objective of purchasing high compatibility stone for puck to reside in but due to unforseen circumstances they got ambush by the witch cultist amidst their stay. Basically a bloodbaths.

this arc made a deep focus on Wilhelm in the last chapters of the web novel, and despite some scenes which I didn't like that much the rest of the arc it's really interesting and the Watergate City of priestella looks as beautifull as the author described it

Pristella is the city and yes, it’s not the capital of Lugunica. It is located near the border of Kararagi.
