    Thanks alot fantastic
    But in lecture you mentioned serum glucose more than 126 for diagnose but you didnt say if it should be fasting

    • @lecturiomedical
      @lecturiomedical  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad you found the lecture fantastic. To clarify, when diagnosing diabetes, a serum glucose level of more than 126 mg/dL is typically used as a diagnostic threshold. However, it's essential to note that this level doesn't necessarily need to be obtained from a fasting blood test. A healthcare provider may use different types of glucose tests, including fasting, random, or oral glucose tolerance tests, depending on the clinical context and specific diagnostic criteria. The choice of test may vary based on individual circumstances and guidelines. If you have any more questions or need further information, please feel free to ask.

    Q2: micro albumine/cr
    Means 24 hrs urine?

    • @gems1717
      @gems1717 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yasin sharifi no its spot urine test 24 hrs proteinuria is not recommended now bc poor compliance & too many variables

    • @lecturiomedical
      @lecturiomedical  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The term "microalbumin/creatinine ratio" typically refers to a laboratory test that measures the amount of microalbumin (a type of protein) relative to creatinine in a urine sample. It does not necessarily involve a 24-hour urine collection.
      In many cases, a random urine sample can be used to measure microalbumin and creatinine, and then the ratio is calculated. However, in some situations, a healthcare provider may request a timed urine collection, which can include a 24-hour collection, to obtain a more accurate measurement of microalbumin excretion over a longer period.
      It's essential to follow your healthcare provider's instructions and the specific testing protocols they recommend for your condition, as the method of collecting urine samples can vary depending on the clinical context and the information needed for diagnosis or monitoring.

      @lecturiomedical  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! The risk of Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) can vary depending on factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and ethnicity. However, T2DM is generally more prevalent in older age groups. It's often diagnosed in adults over the age of 40, but it can occur at any age. Additionally, the risk increases with age. It's important to note that individuals of all ages should be mindful of their lifestyle choices and have regular check-ups to monitor their health, as early detection and prevention are crucial in managing diabetes effectively.

    • @lecturiomedical
      @lecturiomedical  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Diabetes is a serious medical condition that requires proper management and treatment. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes and choose not to treat it, it can lead to various complications over time, including heart disease, kidney problems, nerve damage, and more.
      However, the decision to treat diabetes is a personal one, and it's essential to discuss your concerns and treatment options with a healthcare provider. They can provide you with information about the potential risks of untreated diabetes and work with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your preferences and needs.
      Remember that managing diabetes through lifestyle changes, medication, and regular monitoring can significantly improve your quality of life and reduce the risk of complications. It's essential to make an informed decision about your health and seek guidance from a healthcare professional to ensure the best possible outcome.
