lmfao, i can’t think of any kids books off the top of my head but i’d like to suggest winnie the pooh. christopher robin tripping balls talking to forest animals would be a great skit
So he’s not gonna talk about how the picture of the author on the back of The Giving Tree was creepy as hell? That thing gave me nightmares when I was a toddler…
Funny to think, this is basically what Roald Dahl and other kids' authors meant when they said that adults are joyless cynics who forgot how to have innocent fun. We can't go back to these books without the sort of stuff in this series popping into our minds. Good video, but it sort of makes me miss being 6 years old and not knowing that 'come' could mean anything else.
What about The Mr. Man and Little Miss books? One thing strange that I noticed about them is that nearly every single book has the protagonist going out for a walk.
It took me a long time to realize that the Cat pretty much broke into their home like I guess the rule "Don’t talk to strangers" didn’t apply or those kids were just completely dumb af. Now I’m thinking wow I really read this as a kid and didn’t understand how completely weird these books were.
when i was in 6th grade i had a reading and writing class. 5th period was reading, the other was writing. and my teacher introduced us to epic. a digital library for kids. and while i was browing through the books and found those weird but true books from national geographic and i used to eat these up like if i had no homework to do in like study skills class id start reading them they’re the most interesting thing ever. and i told my parents about these books and showed it to them and at 13 they gave me a weird but true world 2023 book for christmas last year :)
Cartoons were next level aswell Bro remember [ Courage the Cowardly Dog ] the entire show was literally nightmares weird creepy shit composed into one and not just that I mean shit wtf was up with cow and chicken and there's soooo many more Ngl to be honest the old days were good the shows were good the games were good and it was simple and producers and game Devs actually put EFFORT but now yes it has its perks but nostalgia is something that will haunt you forever...in a good way.. And I could go on and on about the 90s and early 2000s but I think you get the point if you are OLD ENOUGH to realize what time is and how if it has past it has past and the only thing left are...memories
Apparently the original version of the giving tree was so pornographic it was first published in play boy magazines. Maybe that explains the part where the book said "and everyday the boy would come."
just a question have any of yall seen the mr men books? mr men is a british children's book series by roger hargreaves and his son adam hargreaves. there is also a variant of the books called the ''little miss'' books. the little misses are basically just the mr men but female.
where the wild things boom art used to scare me as a kid, but i would still read it. but the movie scared me as a young teen like that was some scray desighns man
In elementary school, there was a book I remember where this boy was in a sandcastle building contest. Instead of being impressed at first glance, the adults get genuinely mad that there's a sand house on the beach. Eventually the boy knocks it down, but that didn't matter because he somehow won anyway. If I had to guess, I believe it was called The Sand Castle Contest. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
It's automatically a Good day for me when you upload Edit: after watching good video I'm not bored and hope you have a good day also if you reading this shit still that is crazy
I remember this one kids story where there were these kids in the line and the lunch lady asked “who wants a sandwich” and some kid cut the whole line and said “i want one” and the prize was an actual sand witch, so the moral of the story is don’t be greedy
Cat In The Hat: I can show you something magical and full of wonder. News reporter: A shocking story today as a man in a cat suit has been arrested for indecent exposure in front of two children.

magic tree house, time warp trio, or anything else in that vein. like, what, you're just giving literal children access to time travel? i'm sure that'll end well.

Greg Heffley knows how you feel
“The tree’s a pedophile.”
Not a sentence I ever thought I’d hear.
I will never understand why every kids book has a single mom that the kids fear like the terminator.
To me, the moral of The Giving Tree is, “Don’t be a doormat.” I don’t think it was the intended moral, but it’s the moral nonetheless.
