Hey, Seth. Interesting rundown of the book. I agree with your take on it. I imagine it would have been pretty tough to recreate the vibe of the movies and the laconic nature of the man with no name character. It's too bad they didn't give another writer a kick at the can since then, to see how they would have interpreted them. Dynamite comics did have a comic based on the character a few years ago, but from what I understand, it wasn't much better. Thanks for the mention!

No problem. I'm a fan of your channel. I think another author could have done much better with a character of few words. For instance, in his own novel, Shane doesn't have a lot of dialogue, yet his character is well developed.

Thanks for the review, Seth. I'm almost wondering if this was a repurposed manuscript that they changed up to put the man with no name in it. Or, could the author had written it before watching any of Leone's films much like some novelization authors make books for films with only reading scripts and not watching at least clips of the film itself? It's hard to say, Tim. The book came out about eight years after The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly movie, so I'm not sure what to make of this novel, except that I didn't much care for it.
