Gonna try to maiden mine tomorrow. I put a jp fan in it on 10s and the esc died on me so I found a new power system to put inside that I’m finishing up right now
I love it when youtube rc pilots collaborate on a flight video. Great to see you guys out there, at an event, sharing sticks. Really cool of Wes to give Chris a crack at the sticks of that 8s monster. I kind of thought you'd have to use two 4s packs to crank 8s into one of these big boy planes. Thanks for the tip on using 2s and 6s packs. Not that I have any planes that are even rated for 6s. But, it's info I'll be able to use later on in my rc pilot journey. Thanks guys!! 👍
@@mjg22 Victor S. did just that, and has one done up in silver with early USAF markings. It looks really cool! I actually shot video of it recently and should have the video up soon on my channel 😁👍
I have been flying both the 8 and 6s. I'm telling you, don't waist the extra money on the 8s. There is no real differance in the two as far as speed. Yes I have GPSed them both. The 6s is overall better because it has less wing loading.
The Zues Feels Great In The Air And Is A All Around Great Sport Jet With Plenty of POWER😊 After Seeing Chris Fly The Zues At Jet Jam,I Had To Buy One! Great Review Man👊
Oh man, that is a tough question to answer. I’d say they’re pretty darn close. The viper might ever so slightly have the edge for me in the air, but I think the Zeus is a little more forgiving to land.
No comparison.....the Zeus is a performance Jet with high speed efficiency. Has good handling characteristics. The FMS Viper 90 is a trainer like jet setup with limited speed and manoeuvrability. The Avanti (any) is a mixture of both.
I've always wanted the Zues 90mm and looking at the back-out shot of your airfield, I almost tossed my cookies! My word, what a magical looking airfield. Here in good OLD San Diego, we're lucky to get a landfill here or there to pitch off from. :) As always Chris, great flying, and I'm sure this bird is now in your hanger?
Nice flight, and great to see you getting together with other TH-camrs! I had a chance to see one of these being flown by Vic S. and MAN do these things move out! Thanks for sharing 😁👍🇺🇸
A member of my club has one of these. Flies great, but the color scheme?!? Freewing, WHY??? It's the color of the SKY, and you can't see it! Maybe they did it so they could sell more replacement parts after it crashes because you lose orientation!
Are these really $600? When I was a kid something like this would have so outrageous it would have been like a 25k one off. Edit: OK not a jet it's a little leafblower.
Awesome finally meet you in person Chris! Was my pleasure to let you behind the sticks. We definitely have to fly together again. (Wes)
Thanks Wes, likewise! It was so much fun flying with you out there, we definitely need to do that again soon. 😊
They have a sale on the 8S version.
....or 7s depending on your math skills. Lol
🤣 #publicmathisdangerous
Just got mine, will maiden it tomorrow !
Nice! 😊
Good luck!
Ha I just posted a comment saying I’m maidening mine tomorrow. Hopefully both of ours survive
Don't use the motionrc serie connector!!!!! Mine was crap and the soldering came loos .. so it lands on his nose ☄️🔥🔥⚡️

Cool, should rip on 10s!
@@Thercgeek maiden went well but that plane really needs a nose wheel steering gyro. im putting one in tonight

WE’VE HEARD OF YOU WES!!! 😁
Like it, but I see it as a nice template to “kitbash” into a F-5 or a F-20… or at least a semi scale repainting.
I definitely see that. 😊

Or a Mig 28 from Top Gun.
I’m definitely buying one. I have a ton of 3-D stuff, but for the price that’s the jet with performance and price that I’m looking for.👍

Your math skills are as great as 😅 no comment 😊 nice flying Chris 😊
Haha, yep! Public math is always dangerous 🤣
@@Thercgeek you get payed the same!
How does this compare to the Eflite Viper 90?

I may have one, yes. 😆. A friend kindly gave repainted me one that he had acquired which was pretty cool. Will be putting together a video when I can.

Haha, yeah the sky blue might have benefited from being darker. 😆

I’m sure it is. But horrible color. ! Make one up in navy trainer or military scheme. You would sale more
