When i saw it's whole body, i realised it's way more scarier then i thought
I would love to throw explosives and acid down it
@@akaricky658 You got your wish with Book of Boba Fett episode 4
I actually met the actor who played Boba Fett this weekend.
When I asked him about the upcoming Fett movie he told me "best of luck to the actor" taking up his role.
any chance that was during star wars identities
Phoenix Comic Con. It was brief but truly an awesome experience meeting the man behind the mask.
I know where he lives
when is that movie being released?
Boba fett survived the sarlacc
After the rancor and the sarlacc failed to eat luke, I wonder what Jabba' s third ceature would have been
chris Green himself
chris Green A Krayt Dragon?
A Zerg infested Death Star?
His mom!
Ur mom
Did you know that after Boba Fett escaped his death in the Sarlacc, he learned his lesson to fire at the thing using his ship while he's in orbit in space.
And he does it annually
sounds like he was traumatized
Nicholas Kubin a nice holiday tradition
And fell back into it
No he hovered over it in Slave I and burned it to death with the engines
wow that is far worse than I'd ever imagined as a kid. this thing always scared me, but I always thought you'd die pretty fast. it's gotta be the worst death ever concocted. lucas is a scar dude. ha ha.
By far the worst death is being turned into a grab mind from halo it is tarafying
Jerrol Hale nice
Dude.... Warhammer 40k deamonculaba.... Litterally being used in a skin factory
This is a nightmare to me, being claustrophobic. Those drawings are insane.
Yeah. Star Wars art and lore is crazy.
Sure glad Jango Fett's legacy didn't end in the belly of the Sarlacc.
I NEVER knew that it kept it's victims alive within it's stomach with supplied nutrients to slowly digest them for hundreds of years! That makes the victim's death beyond hell! *Shudder*...
Even more disturbing: when the victim is finally finished being digested, the consciousness of the victim remains inside the sarlacc for the rest of the creatures life, which could be thousands, or hundreds of years depending on the sarlaccs age.
Imagine being a Jedi, when you think your agony is finally over and that you will be one with the force, only to be trapped inside this vile creature for hundreds, or thousands of years.
Well, no one can live long enough to have the misfortune of being digested for hundreds of years, let alone for a thousand, nutrients or not. That being said, you'd stay alive for a very very long time.
That's what never made sense to me - why does the Sarlacc supply nutrients to its victims in order to digest them longer?
Since it takes the consciousness of it victims may be this process takes so long that the victim Has to be put on some sort of life support so that It can effectively take its victims consciousness.
boba escaped
He protecc
He attacc
But most impotantly
He sarlacc
Lol i hate you for this haha
Better yet
He protecc
He attacc
But most importantly
He escape the sarlacc
Expected it to be here not disappointed
Ballsacc
Faith in humanity decreasing...
In the 'Legends' Expanded Universe it was said that the sarlacc could store the memories of the suffering of its prey so it could enjoy their suffering again and again. That makes the creature just as vile as Jabba the Hutt.
That's beyond messed up
Or Palpatine
Yeh the nerds that wrote that for legends are just weirdos who want to change everything in Star Wars to torture porn for absolutely zero reason.
@@RM22201 cool.
Anyways, that is so cool 😎
Everything about a Sarlacc is horrifying.
"This is your last chance, free us...or die". Used to love this scene so much.
I’d like to point out the one on Felucia was considered The largest and oldest of the Sarlacc race, it being featured in the video game Star Wars the force unleashed, being large enough to grab a full sized rancor and eat it whole with very little effort.
It's also in battlefront 2 from 2017 it's on the felucia map under the lake
It tells you on the map and when you go in the lake u see the sarlac
I remember reading a wildlife book about star wars that I bought from borders as a kid. Apparently Giant Krait dragons _eat_ sarlacs
*greater krayt dragon
Confirmed in the Mandalorian
I gotta check this out
All Hail The Krayt Dragons!!!
The "tongue" is one of the WORST, most POINTLESS additions. A gaping maw filled with teeth and tentacles was horrifying in the best way possible.
Exactly! The CGI additions are annoying and insulting.
LtFransky keep in mind that this movie is very old
@@simonl7868 Dude, Im old enough that I watched the original Jedi in theatres. Don't try and tell me Lucas didn't screw up the movies with his changes
It's more of a beak. But ya they screwed up the pussy pit, vagina dentata.
@@Fishchair The sarlacc (in my opinion) is not suppose to be more alive. The gaping hole with teeth, would make it seem more terrifying. The beak just makes the pit less terrifying and it kinda looks stupid.
I recently watched Return of the Jedi, which is why I looked for videos like this. I can't help but feel a sense of horror and dread the victims of sarlaccs go through after seeing Boba get swallowed whole.
it's stupid how they gave it a beak and tongue. an animal of that size living in the desert would indeed be better suited being just a pit. maximum energy conservation
I don't understand how they sustain themselves, or how it makes any sense to keep their prey alive
They're consuming their prey for calories and nutrients right??
So why are they expending energy to keep them alive and past their regular lifespan too??
That's going to cost more energy that what you'd get by just eating them
Alex Benavidez Maybe they don’t feed on nutrients but the suffering of the prey. As they don’t feed often they may as well have some company for a thousand years. Plus they’re evil and want the victim to suffer.
@@alexbenavidez4500 maybe its these evolutionary dead ends which cause the creature to be so rare
@@alexbenavidez4500 They might feed on stuff that needs to be alive like active cells. Not every monster needs meat.
@@doodaw2clipsandstreams592 you can’t get energy from suffering
This... this is hell! THIS IS LITERALLY HELL!!! The idea of finally dissolving into nothing, but still remaining conscious to forever be in pain and agony, while hearing the screams of other victims for all eternity is a hellish fate to be in. Lucky doesn't even begin to describe Boba Fett's situation when he escaped.
It reminds me of a gravemind after hearing about that bit with the memory
Agreed. Probably where bungie got the idea for the flood.
what if the sarlacc is the gravemind from halo2 and 3?
Dude the star wars and the halo univers are one in the same
R2 with a projection of Cortana. Make it happen anyone besides Disney!
The gravemind is far more terrifying than the sarlacc. The sarlacc keeps you alive to slowly digest you, while the gravemind breaks you infects you and let's you go through horrible and painful mutations. The guys who were turned into nests are the poorest bastards in the world.
I had no Idea they were so huge!!!! It's an interesting beast.
FCE : No skeletal structure.
Also FCE : Shows pictures of a clear skeletal structure. Complete with rib cross sections and limb attachment points.
Skeletal means bones or cartilage (the shit your ears are made of)
Love how when The Mandalorian canonized Boba's survival it simultaneously made up for his gag death AND proved he was the ultimate badass for surviving it.
I would be nuking every one of those things from orbit
Always reminds me of an Ex Girlfriend....
especially the telepathic torture lol
Lmao
I think you meant her "pit" was like sarlacc
Damn oral.must have been roughhhh
@@thequintessential5503 yeah, mine even has tentacles on it
I love how Sarlacc Pit was able to pull down a spaceship, but not Lando Calrissian
the fact it keeps you alive for a thousand years, while you are slowly digested, is like the living embodiment of purgatory. Or waiting in line at the DMV.
Honestly, there's nothing left to suggest, or at least I can't think of any. That's a good sign! You guys have explored pretty much everything, that was on our minds. Thank you very much for the effort you put into these videos. It's worth every second of our time. Keep it going!
now that is one evil animal
Isaac Vision209 how is it evil? It's just doing what it needs to survive
@@forky1686, maybe it should evolve.
fork guy in legends it evil. In canon it isn’t.
Nothing more exiting than a day out to visiting the Ballsacc Pit...
I had nightmates my entire childhood because of this thing
Now I've learn more about it
It continues
Did anyone mention that the original movie didn't have the tentacles and beak? That was added in the 90s I think to enhance the scene
The original had tentacles but they added more along with the beak later on.
This is just unnecessarily terrifying
Dathomarion witches
star wars epxlained
Sounds good! adding it to the list now mate :)
If I remember correctly those are ventress's sisters. right?
That's right
If I was a scientist in the SW universe, I would definitely figure out a way to extract one of these creatures into space in order to study every aspect of its physiology.
That sounds lit.
And in an epic twist of fate I got a “digestive advantage” ad right befor Sarlac vid...
The only thing I heared that a Sarlaac refused to eat was a Hutt. Not because they were at times kept as 'pets' buy because the Hutt was indigestible.
Ironically enough, the Kyrat Dragon (I think that's what its called) could eat a sarlaac if the dragon was big enough
I feel pity to this monster now that Jabba's dead and probably could no longer feed it.
kirby march Barcena eh, I don't pity it, "you will know a new definition of pain and suffering as you are digested for a thousand years"
It would get off lightly compared to what its victims endure
I don’t think it’s canon anymore but the sarlacc died after the events shown in ROTJ.
If I was the owner of that thing i would feed it 10 big bags of Doritos and make it puke because that’s what happened to me once I ate so much Doritos that I puked in the middle of the night it was kind of disgusting tho 😬😬😬
Still sand people...
Actually a sarlac can digest its food dor couple of hunderd or thousand of years and it had like 5 prey in its stomach now
It almost looks like Graboids are really young Sarlaccs
I love these star wars creature explained videos 👌
*I feel like the Sarlacc could become one of the most intelligent beings in the galaxy, if it consumes tons of people, all while being able to absorb the conciousness of those people. Not sure if it ca only fuse minds with one being or all of them.*
Could you please do an in-depth video or several on the history and culture of the Mandolorians? They are my favourite culture in all of Star Wars. Anyway best of luck to you.
sure! adding it to the list now :)
Vor enteye :-) Thank you looking forward to it.
widgren87
I'd like if they also did the same thing for the Yuuzhan Vong: an enemy I consider WORSE than the Galactic Empire.
No griping about them being 'non-canon'!
Canon, Legends, Clone Wars, Rebels, Prequels, Original Trilogy, Sequels.....
WE'RE ALL STAR WARS FANS!!!!!!
Lets hope he does one because the Vong are pretty cool :-)
*This is the way*
I read a lot about the Sarlacc in the Essential Guide to Creatures & this thing is probably the most unsettling creature in all of Star Wars, I'm glad that they are the natural prey for my favorite Star Wars creature: the Krayt Dragon
Boba Fett: So awesome and badass not even a sarlaac can kill him. Imagine if he had been a Grey Jedi...
Hey, you should do a video on the Gremlins!
Yep! its on the list Ryan ,thanks :)
Ryan W
Now there's an idea!
A krayt dragon managed to kill and eat one of these. Goes to show how much of an apex predator the krayt dragon is.
This video is absolutely awesome!😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you explain the virus in Cooties (2014)?
Sure! adding it to the list now :)
I'm reminded of the level from Star Wars: the Force Unleashed when Starkiller gets stuck in a Sarlaac...
Love how they used the original Sarlacc for The Book of Boba Fett.
How can a human with a natural life expectancy of less than 200 years be kept alive for 1000 years? Could this ability be isolated from the rest of the sarlacc? Could be worth alot of money for the bio-weapons-rejuvination division.
Bruh. If they can create billions of perfect clones, they can easily repair telomerase and achieve biological immortality.
That lightsaber took an ETERNITY to fall ....
The sarlacc reminds me of my sister all it does is eat and complain
Always loved that moment when Luke unleashes his laser sword on the skiff barge!
Man the music when he's explaining the digestive system and seeing the body and stomach with animals and other stuff god just makes my hair stand up. The horror of Being swallowed up by a hideous creature and then being digested for a 1000 years.
Nice vid, hope u have a nice day.
Thanks buddy! you too :)
Do more star wars species and planets
Sure
Ok that wasn’t disturbing at all! But very cool, thanks for putting it out.
I thought the beak tongue-mouth thing was oddly cute for such a creature, but now I think it just makes no sense for the design of it. Like the Xenomorphs, what's the point of the main mouth if only the inner mouth could consume their food? Not to mention all the sand & debris that would be trapped in between the mouths & make the sarlacc uncomfortable for the rest of her life.
Keeping the victim alive only to digest them was the part that ruined Sarlaccs for me.
It's so freaking stupid, it would be a net energetic loss to do so.
Sarlacc was designed better in the first film but not great. Even before they added a beak in the update, the tentacles were too much. If you think about creature who sits and waits for prey. They don't want to expel energy, they probably won't move around a lot or even need extra limbs or mouths. The first description was of a being that slowly digests you over 1,000 years or something like that. Anything that works on that timescale isn't going to need to flail about to hook prey. It's has forever to just wait for a meal. Considering the environment and the business of moisture farming. The Sarlacc could perform a similar function naturally and become a better trap, as it would have simply secreted water drops along it's mouth rim to draw in prey.
When they added the beak, I kept waiting for it to say, "Feed me, Seymour"!
I just want to say I've been enjoying your videos. Nice work.
That digitalized stuff is pretty lame, I prefer the original.
@Marcelo Firpo Not this digital stuff.

I’m not that huge into Star Wars but I have to admit that the Sarlacc Pit is quite possibly my most favorite thing about this whole universe.
Nice. Could you make a video about Ceph from Crysis series?
yep its on the list :)
Awesome.
They couldve just said "it big worm" but damn this much info is insane
That sarlacc's like "Hot DAMN I must be at Golden Corral right now"! :D
The original sarlacc didn’t have the worm. It was added in the new edition.
As always, thanks for the entertaining video.
Perhaps an exploration of magic and sorcery in the star wars universe?
sure, will add that to the list now :)
Bro the The greater Krayt dragon must be HUGE if it a full grown sarlacc
nice video. there wasn't an explanation of how the spores traveled through space once produced. Left out info about how the spores were released in an explosion and escaped a planet's gravity. But anything about the sarlacc is cool. thanks for the vid.
what was that last clip of boba fett from??
Awesome upload as always Niyat!!! Would you do a video on the Chimera from the Resistance game series if you haven't already my man 😊
Yes of course buddy! its on the list :)
FilmComicsExplained Awesome! Can't wait Niyat 😄👊❤
1000 years of digestion Boba aint got time that
When you started talking I was like “damn it I wanna watch the rest of the movie!”
Thank you! I always wanted to know about the Sarlacc.
could you please explore Saren from Mass Effect? He's my fav
Sure! will add him to the list now :)
cheers mate
FilmComicsExplained can you please explore Tuunbaq from AMC’s the terror
Maybe I missed it, but how did the sarlacci spores get into space?
Yeah I was thinking that
I don't know why but it always gets me how luke says "Jabba" the way he does.
Sid Vicious “Jawbaw.”
you know, knowing more about these creatures actually made them scary 👀😂

Please cover The Expanse! :)
Thanks Jonathan! Much appreciated mate. And yeh was thinking of doing one on the protomolecule and the different races once I get to starting season 2!
The sarlac is the same as the talking plant in little shop of horrors
Feed me seymore
So breeding left spore sac but how do the spores travel through space? And where did the species originate. Very interesting.
wheres the clip at the end of the video (boba seemingly getting out of the sarlacc and activating his ship) from?
Possibly supreme comander?
Sure! will add him to the list now :)
Perfect
Hey Niyat! I have a suggestion for a video. Could you do a video on Tom Clancy's Division Green Poison.
Sure man! adding it to the list now :)

Really love your channel! Are you going to do a video on The Zerg and Sarah Kerrigan at some point?
Yep its on the list Megan!
FilmComicsExplained Thank you so much, I really enjoy all your videos, it's a geek paradise for me and I appreciate your hard work and lovely accent. Can't wait to see it!! 💞
Where are the last two scenes from? The one of Boba Fett walking and then the scene of him summoning his ship?
The version I have is just an agape put with teeth and tentacles. It hadn’t been GeorgeLucased yet. My parents also don’t know if Fett escaping is canon or not.
Cool
Thanks for the information!! 😎👍
"Feed me, Seymore!"
Great video! ! 👍👍👍
You should totally take a look at a Aussie classic, Razorback 1984. It’s got a big pig in it.
sure will add it to the list now, thanks :)
Say what you will about it, but the squeaks it makes in the movie would have in love from day one.
I actually prefer what the original Sarlacc looked like; a big, gaping tooth-lined pit. Much more ominous and terrifying that way.
Sarlac is like a huge ant lion, of sorts.
No eyes, lives under ground, hunts by feeling vibrations...
Sounds a lot like another sci-fi creature if you ask me
Graboids
I was thinking the same thing lmao
Actually, this was called “the sarlacc” because there were smaller ones that could eat a cat, while others could eat 10 people at a time
This one was the biggest of the 10 people ones, able to eat 20 people
how much of an inspiration was the SARLACC on the fx team for Tremors
Fantastic commentary👍😎
