There's also about 30 "secret" custom characters if you put the right name into the custom character creation. The biggest of these being kid characters and the guy behind the counter. The majority of the rest are neversoft developers which is a fun little addition. List Below: - Dave Cowling - Ralph D'Amato - Lisa Davies - Pete Day > Rachael Day > Matthew Day - Chad Findley - Alan Flores - Edwin Fong - Steve Ganem - Chris Glenn - Noel Hines - Brian Jennings - Gary Jesdanun - Joel Jewett - Sandy Jewett - Henry Ji - Ryan McMahon - Kevin Mulhall - Nolan Nelson - Andy Nelson - Johnny Ow - Scott Pease - Chris Rausch > Steven Rausch > James Rausch > Andrew Rausch - Paul Robinson - Aaron Skillman - Darren Thorne - Jason Uyeda - Chris Ward - Mick West > Riley Hawk > Spencer Hawk > William Pease > Connor Jewett - Rastapopolous (Guy behind counter) - Nicole Willick - Dave Stohl - Mike Ward - Trey Smith
Are you sure you guys didn't mean Phillyside? Phillyside was the area in the original Tony Hawk 2 Philadelphia map you get to by grinding the power lines. Burnside is a separate skatepark in Portland.
The only "secret" skater missing (since he is not entirely an official addition) in pro skater 3 is doomguy, but he's exclusive only to the PC version of the game.
I never played this game enough to unlock most of the cheats normally, so until now, I thought the Expert Mode cheat made collectibles (SKATE letters, stat points, etc.) invisible. Also, big props to Xindictive's "Crotch Mode" joke at 8:51! (Also, tell Skyler that the hidden skatepark in Philadelphia isn't actually Burnside, it's just FDR Skatepark) By the way, good call on naming your fans; we really are the Inset-Tykes!
I think x-rays board is intended to look like a coffin man. Thanks for this secret video though. I missed a lot of this stuff when I played as a kid. Great work as usual man.
The Philadelphia level first appeared in THPS2 and was featured in THUG 2 with the exact same layout. The level was recreated and expanded as part of the Proving Ground map.
I think the park y'all were thinking of was FDR Park in the Philly level from Pro Skater 2. FDR Park and Burnside do look very similar, when I was younger I confused the two all the time.
Like you I only played up to THUG2 as a kid, I got THAW like a year ago but I stopped playing when I got to the Oil Rig, something about that level just drained any enjoyment I was having. THAW is ok, one of the cutscenes got a legitimate laugh from me so it was doing something right. Super excited to see THPS4 next. Tempted to replay it, before videos of it start coming, just to see if its as hard as I remember it being.
when I was a kid on Xbox Live, people would call me Insect if they didn't read my gamertag right (or just wanted to goof on me) so idk, it's like the most minor tier of bad childhood memories but yeah, or maybe that means i should really lean into it, take it back or something.
Yeah and I've also seen you over on rad rat and tylerlasagna's tony hawk 4 no-stat vids. I won't be doing that too, i WANT to fly high and grind forever.
i think you can do more on this level with the tony hawk engine than you could in the hidden MGS2 game or the level in Evolution Skateboarding. Would be interesting to see that oil rig ported to THUGPRO or such.
This game is cool. You wanna know why? BECAUSE YOU CAN TURN YOURSELF INTO TOM THUMB! And if that's too small for you, don't worry. BECAUSE YOU CAN ALSO TURN YOUSELF INTO THE BFG!

the pc version also had doomguy on it as an exclusive character btw
@ no.
6:05 You've all heard of Baby Yoda, but are you ready for BABY MAUL?
The best parts of thps games. Cheats, secrets, recreated levels, and moar.

what about the japanese skaters who were only in the japanese version of the game
I played him on xbox funnily enough

How does that make it not official

16:50 The Fandangle and Big Hitter were both special tricks in THPS2. They were assigned to Eric Koston and Bucky Lasek, respectively.

5:50 well that was anti-climactic... 😂

go ahead, i might need some extra days to get that started
Does anyone have a gap list for the Oil Rig Xbox version?
I gave Private Carrera's special manual to Wolverine, it's hilarious.
is that tom green??
I enjoy more long form content like this! But I understand when you make the other levels it obviously wouldn't be as long
Where did you find Gap List for Oil Rig? Hard to find it guide for it because there is no in-game gap list.
i'm a lady so there's at least one of us, also i propose the fan name insekts

Stupid question, but do you intend to go through THPS1+2 remake or is that just redundant?
no, not a stupid question, in fact I have been thinking about doing it soon now that the remake is on Steam

Whats your favorite tonh hawk game
I saw a thps3 1 stat run, but instead of using neversoft eyeball character they just made a custom character and gave him 1 stat for everyhing.
Yeah and I've also seen you over on rad rat and tylerlasagna's tony hawk 4 no-stat vids. I won't be doing that too, i WANT to fly high and grind forever.
pretty sure expert mode doesn't just half your stats; testing it right now and you definitely both spin faster and move faster.
Is the oilrig a better or worse skating level than the one in MGS 2.
i think you can do more on this level with the tony hawk engine than you could in the hidden MGS2 game or the level in Evolution Skateboarding. Would be interesting to see that oil rig ported to THUGPRO or such.
darth maul's pro skater 3
whats the code pls reply
The oil rig level was in metal gear solid 2, im pretty sure
AN oil rig was, but not THIS one
There was an oil rig, but that was Evolution Skateboarding, not Tony Hawk.
