@@ABtheKreator yup i mean consider Tom Jones or Joe Cocker , both being great singers and full of soul and both being white... i dont think it matters so much the color ofthe skin as much the music one grows up with and there are white people who love soul same as some black guys who grew up in places like Texas and love country because they heard it a lot since birth. It is more of an environmental factor though of course in a predominantly black comunity soul and R&B comes more often but preferences and tastes vary outside it too

Listen to (The Price- By the Steeldrivers) it’s a bluegrass group and Chris was the singer in the group. At 1:09 in this song is when the legend of Chris Stapleton was born. I’m from the next County over from where he is from and he definitely is a role model for young musicians in the area. He played a free concert and donated a musical section to Johnson Central High School where he graduated from. I don’t live there anymore but him and Tyler Childress are both from Eastern Kentucky and are 2 great pure musicians. Some other country music folks from the around the same area are - The Judd’s, Billy Ray Cyrus, Patty Loveless, Ricky Scaggs, Dwight Yokum, Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley, Crystal Gale, and Tom T. Hall among a few others. In fact US (Hyw) 23 is called country music Highway.

Great reaction! This is how I reacted the first time I heard him, and that was back when he was with Steel drivers and Jompson Brothers. If you get a chance, check out some of his earlier music before he was as well known as he is now. I KNEW the first time I saw him in Maryville TN, I think in the 90's, I KNEW he was off the chain talented. Chris is aTriple threat, sings, write songs, and plays instruments.
You should see him sang the song "Fool Me Again" its him, but it was like 11 years ago.
