I was just going to recommend Say Something by Justin & Chris and tell you how AMAZING the video is.someone beat me to it,and they are correct...it was shot in one single complete take.the camera work is fantastic not to mention the choir and band.the coordination and performance is beyond amazing by everyone involved. I love their soulful sounds, but songs about drinking and comparing women to alcohol have nothing to do with church. I love both songs, but it's weird to say them singing these songs brought people to church. Church is way more than people singing well.

I agree about the amazing part. This really is. But, and this is just my opinion, I think the MTV Unplugged sets by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains were better. Also, the 1965 live version of Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers gives me chills every time. It aired on the Andy Williams show. Side note...Rolling Stone ranked Unchained Melody at # 365 on their list of the top 500 songs of all time. I consider that a great disservice. Ramble, done.

There's something about this kind of music and the style of jam session that really seems to light a fire in Timberlake. I watched one of his concerts with his band The Tennessee Kids and the best and longest part was when they did Drink You Away. They were just jamming out and it was the best and most fun part of the entire thing. Timberlake didn't seem to want to stop singing it and the band was having so much fun. They are so talented.
This collaboration with Stapleton has to be one of the best live award show performances ever.
Every person on that stage was at their finest... driving each other to the greatest performance of their lives. The organ player... the horns... EVERY musician... It was just GREATNESS.

Yes, everyone there knew JT very well, but this was a breakout for Chris, although he had been making music for years. His songs were hits for other artists before his wife, Morgane, encouraged him to go solo. That’s her on stage singing harmony.

I was at that show and saw this performance live. The whole place was in shock and I had goose bumps the whole time.. Oh and it was A ONE TAKE SHOT!! no bs!!
Nashville is the home to country. Memphis is the home of blues. They're not that far apart geographically or stylistically. Chris bridges the gap perfectly. JT actually started in country as a kid on a show called Star Search. JT and Chris have a song together called "Say Something" and the four of them (including their wives) are great friends. The audience doesn’t know Justin’s song because it was brand new at the time. This performance is a few years old. And it’s still pure perfection!
If you watch the reactions of the artists when Justin’s song first starts, you will see they knew his song after the performance you will see that they were all were blown away. Miranda lambert actually commented on the performance during her acceptance speech for her own award. I saw this performance live and it’s what turned me on to Chris Stapleton. He is my absolute favorite.

When I saw that performance , I really felt that was probably the greatest performance I ever got to watch. I have attended many concerts and performances over the past 50 or more years.
